While the specific address provided is quite general, indicating it's within Broken Bow, the context of the reviews places Armadillo Circle firmly within the popular Beavers Bend State Park, making it an attractive option for local users seeking a getaway immersed in nature.
Since direct contact information for Armadillo Circle itself isn't provided, those interested in booking a site here would likely need to go through the Beavers Bend State Park's reservation system. A quick online search for "Beavers Bend State Park camping reservations" should lead you to the official channels for checking availability and making bookings.
Environment and Location:
The reviews highlight that the area surrounding Armadillo Circle is generally loved for its peacefulness. Being situated within Beavers Bend State Park, campers can expect to be surrounded by the park's natural beauty, which includes towering pine forests, scenic trails, and the clear waters of Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River. This environment offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, making it a desirable location for those seeking a nature-filled camping experience close to home.
However, one review mentions that the peacefulness can be disrupted by noisy neighbors, particularly children. While this isn't something the park directly controls and is often a matter of individual camper behavior, it's something to be aware of. Another camper noted that some campsites at Armadillo Circle are close to a busy road, which might detract from the otherwise natural ambiance, depending on the specific site you are allocated. It's advisable to check the park's campsite map when booking, if available, to understand the proximity of different loops or sites to roads.
Services and Amenities:
The provided reviews offer limited information about the specific amenities at Armadillo Circle itself, but being within Beavers Bend State Park, campers likely have access to the park's broader facilities. These typically include:
- Restrooms and potentially showers at various locations within the park.
- Water spigots.
- Picnic tables and fire rings or grills at individual campsites.
- Access to park trails for hiking and nature walks.
- Proximity to Broken Bow Lake for boating, fishing, and swimming (though these activities might require separate access points within the park).
One specific suggestion from a reviewer is the need for a dog park area within the park. This indicates that while pets are likely allowed (common in many state parks), there isn't a dedicated off-leash area for dogs. This might be a consideration for campers traveling with pets who value such facilities.
A concerning point raised in one review is that a campsite was not properly cleaned before their arrival, with trash, including plastic and broken glass, left in the fire pit from previous occupants. This suggests that while the park aims for a certain standard, there might be occasional lapses in campsite maintenance. It's always a good practice to check your campsite upon arrival and report any issues to the park authorities.

Armadillo Circle Reviews
ABSOLUTELY love this area. The campsite is super peaceful unless you just happen to get unlucky and have neighbors that have kids that are wild as banshees. There were a few people that had kids that needed manors, but it wasn't something the park could control. It's usually a parent issue. The only thing this park needs is a dog park area. Not every dog will poop on a leash and want to go sniff other spots and do that in private and peace. We are a 2 service dog household and dog parks, and giving our guys a piece of freedom to do their business is a priority.Would I recommend Beavers Bend State Park?100% I would.I dock 1 star for no dog park.
Mar 17, 2025 · Lanna ThompsonDecent campsite right in the park, I didn't like how close it was to a busy road but depending on the site it isn’t too bad. My biggest issue was that there was a TON of trash left in our fire pit from the previous occupants including plastic and even a broken wine glass. It was obvious our site was not cleaned.
Sep 02, 2024 · Jamie MckoyGreat place, could be little tight for 40ft plus RVs but it's possible. I got it and out with my 42ft. Close to lodge and beaches to go swimming.
Aug 15, 2024 · Rogal RGreat stay. No television, cellphone, internet access and no am stations. Only received FM stations. All sites concrete slabs and level. We had full hook-up. Hochatown has anything you need. Bathrooms and showers kept clean and open 24 hours.
Oct 12, 2021 · Mark BottilaWill not camp there again. Pull through's? Some are. This camp ground was built for short rigs. Extremely tight getting into. Picnic tables are rotted and grills have no bottom. Camp host admitted he could fix the grill in just a few minutes. Said we should have said something earlier. Did have a lot of deer to watch.
