Riverside Camp Ground Introduce
Riverside Camp Ground, located in Spring Green, Wisconsin (address: 5W7F+V5, Spring Green, WI 53588, USA), offers a camping experience for local users seeking a convenient and potentially enjoyable outdoor getaway. Situated in close proximity to the Wisconsin River, this campground falls under the "camping near me" category, providing a local option for those looking to escape the everyday and immerse themselves in nature. While specific details about the campground's environment and services are limited in the provided information, we can infer some aspects based on its location and general campground offerings, as well as the available customer reviews.
The Potential Environment Near Riverside Camp Ground
Being located near the Wisconsin River suggests that Riverside Camp Ground likely benefits from a scenic environment. The Wisconsin River is a significant natural feature of the region, known for its diverse landscapes, including wooded banks, sandy shores, and opportunities for water-based activities. Campers might expect to find a setting that offers a blend of natural beauty and the soothing sounds of flowing water. The presence of the river could also attract local wildlife, enhancing the natural experience for visitors. Spring Green itself is situated in a picturesque area of Wisconsin, known for its rolling hills and natural landscapes, further suggesting a potentially pleasant environment surrounding the campground.
Potential Services and Amenities
Based on general campground practices and the limited information available, Riverside Camp Ground likely offers a range of services and amenities to accommodate campers. While the negative review mentions a pay-per-use shower system and a malfunctioning coin dispenser by the pool, it also implies the presence of these facilities. Therefore, we can infer the following potential services:
- Campsites: These would likely include designated areas for pitching tents and possibly RV hookups (though this is not explicitly stated). The positive review mentioning "very clean and well-kept campsites" suggests that the grounds are maintained to a certain standard.
- Restroom Facilities: The mention of showers indicates the presence of restroom facilities. However, the negative review highlights a pay-per-use system ($1 for 5 minutes), which is a notable aspect for potential visitors.
- Swimming Pool: The reference to a pool and a malfunctioning coin dispenser suggests that a swimming pool is available for guest use.
- Potable Water: Campgrounds typically provide access to drinking water for their guests.
- Waste Disposal: Facilities for garbage disposal would likely be available to maintain the cleanliness of the campground.
- Fire Pits or Grills: Many campgrounds offer designated fire pits or grills at each campsite or in communal areas for cooking and campfires.
It is important to note that the absence of detailed information makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive list of services. Potential local users are advised to directly contact Riverside Camp Ground for specific details regarding their offerings.
Features and Considerations Based on Reviews
The limited customer reviews provide some insight into the features and potential considerations for those thinking of staying at Riverside Camp Ground:
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: The positive review explicitly mentions "very clean and well-kept campsites," which is a significant positive feature for many campers.
- Pay-Per-Use Showers: A notable feature, and a point of dissatisfaction for at least one customer, is the pay-per-use shower system, costing $1 for 5 minutes. This is not a standard practice at all campgrounds and is something potential visitors should be aware of.
- Pool Facility: The presence of a swimming pool is a feature that can be attractive, especially for families. However, the negative review points out an issue with a malfunctioning coin dispenser for the showers near the pool and a lack of immediate resolution from the office.
- Customer Service Responsiveness: The negative review also raises concerns about the responsiveness of the office staff regarding the malfunctioning shower coin dispenser by the pool. The lack of follow-up left some guests "upset."
Based on these limited reviews, potential local users considering Riverside Camp Ground through the "camping near me" platform should weigh the positive feedback regarding cleanliness against the negative experiences related to the shower costs and the handling of the malfunctioning amenity.
Objective Insights for Local Users
For local users in the Spring Green area looking for "camping near me," Riverside Camp Ground presents a nearby option with the potential benefit of clean and well-maintained campsites. Its proximity to the Wisconsin River could offer opportunities for river-related activities and scenic views. The presence of a swimming pool might be appealing to families and individuals looking for recreation during their stay.
However, it is crucial for potential visitors to be aware of the reported pay-per-use shower system, which may add an unexpected cost to their camping experience. Additionally, the negative feedback regarding the malfunctioning pool shower and the perceived lack of immediate assistance from the office should be taken into consideration when making a booking decision. It might be prudent for prospective campers to inquire directly with Riverside Camp Ground about the current status of their facilities and any policies regarding amenity maintenance.

Riverside Camp Ground Reviews
The campground was very nice but we didn’t know you have to pay $1 for a 5 minute shower. We’ve never had to pay at other campsites. The coin dispenser by the pool wasn’t working and I called the office. Nobody came out to refill it and some of us were upset because we wanted to shower after being in the pool. We won’t be back.
