Pima Swan RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in Tucson, Arizona, Pima Swan RV Park, located at 4615 E Pima St, Tucson, AZ 85712, USA, offers a community-oriented experience with recent positive changes in management. You can reach them at (520) 907-8710 or their mobile number, +1 520-907-8710, to inquire about availability and rates.
Based on customer reviews, Pima Swan RV Park has undergone significant improvements in recent times, particularly with the arrival of new owners, Joanne and Austyn. A long-term resident of five years highlighted the positive transformations they have witnessed under the new ownership, suggesting a commitment to enhancing the park for its residents and guests. This positive shift is further emphasized by the hiring of Chris and Steve Dupree as the new managers, who are described as "truly great people" always willing to go out of their way to help, along with their friends Ali and Marie. This dedication from the management team appears to contribute significantly to the welcoming atmosphere of the park.
One of the most consistently praised aspects of Pima Swan RV Park is its wonderful sense of community and friendly neighbors. Multiple reviewers highlight the welcoming nature of the people within the park, suggesting a close-knit and supportive environment. This strong community feel can be a significant draw for both short-term visitors looking for a friendly stopover and long-term residents seeking a sense of belonging.
While the park is acknowledged as being small, it offers a range of amenities designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of its guests. These features include a recreation room equipped with a full kitchen, providing a communal space for gatherings and meal preparation. For families traveling with children, there is a play area for kids. Pet owners will appreciate the presence of a dog run, allowing their furry companions a dedicated space for exercise. Additionally, there is a small pool for cooling off and a cute little fire pit, perfect for evening gatherings and enjoying the Arizona weather. The shower and laundry room are consistently described as "neat and clean," indicating a commitment to maintaining hygienic and well-kept facilities for residents and visitors.
For travelers passing through Tucson and seeking a quiet place to stay, Pima Swan RV Park aims to offer a welcoming experience characterized by open arms and friendly smiles. This suggests that the park strives to create a hospitable environment for all its guests, fostering a positive first impression and encouraging return visits.
However, it's important to note a contrasting review that presents a different perspective on the park's environment. This reviewer, while acknowledging the "good in town location" and the niceness of the people (mostly long-term renters), found the park to be "very noisy" and reported not being able to sleep well during their week-long stay. This suggests that despite the community atmosphere, the park's location may be subject to noise pollution that could affect some visitors' comfort, particularly those sensitive to noise.
The same reviewer also expressed concerns about the proximity of RV sites, using the analogy of "being cheese in a cheese sandwich," suggesting that the sites might be quite close together, potentially impacting privacy and personal space. This is a factor that some RVers may find less appealing, especially those accustomed to more spacious campgrounds.
Furthermore, this reviewer highlighted a potentially restrictive pet policy, stating that pets have to be kept inside the RV at all times. They questioned the practicality of this rule, especially considering the high temperatures often experienced in Arizona. This policy could be a significant consideration for RV travelers with pets who prefer to allow their animals some outdoor time. It's crucial for pet owners to confirm the current pet policy directly with the park management.
Finally, the reviewer noted a discrepancy between the weekly rate advertised online ($200) and the actual rate charged ($300). They also mentioned a monthly rate of $545. This discrepancy indicates that the information on the website may not be up-to-date, and prospective guests should always verify the current rates directly with the park management to avoid any surprises upon arrival.
In summary, Pima Swan RV Park offers a welcoming community atmosphere with recent positive management changes and a range of convenient amenities, including a recreation room with a full kitchen, a play area, a dog run, a pool, and a fire pit, as well as clean laundry and shower facilities. Its in-town location provides easy access to Tucson's attractions and services. However, potential guests should be aware of the possibility of noise issues due to its location, potentially close RV site spacing, a restrictive pet policy requiring pets to remain indoors, and the need to verify current rates as they may differ from online listings.
For those seeking a friendly and community-oriented RV park in Tucson with essential amenities, Pima Swan RV Park could be a good option, particularly for those planning longer stays and valuing a strong sense of neighborliness. However, individuals sensitive to noise, those traveling with pets who need outdoor space, and those relying on online rate information should contact the park directly to address their specific concerns and confirm the most current details.

Pima Swan RV Park Reviews
We lived at Pima Swan RV Park for 5 years and have seen the many changes that have been made for the better. We have seen 3 managers come and go but when new owners, Joanne and Austyn, came into the picture things got a lot better. They hired Chris and Steve Dupree as the new managers and they are truly great people. They're always willing to drop what they're doing to lend a helping hand, along with their faithful friends Ali and Marie. There is a lot to be said about this park, but it all boils down to wonderful community full of friendly neighbors.Though the park is small, it offers a rec room with a full kitchen to use at your convenience, a play area for the kiddos, a dog run, and a little pool next to a cute little fire pit. The shower/laundry room is always neat and clean. If you're ever in Tucson and looking for a quiet place to stay, expect to be welcomed with open arms and a friendly smile.
Apr 16, 2024 · Lori GGood in town location but very noisy and didn’t sleep all week. The people were niceAnd mostly long term renters. If you like the feeling of being cheese in a cheese sandwich , then this is for you .If you have a pet it has to be inside the rv at all times. Is this realistic for Arizona temps? The weekly rate was $300 not $200 as on the website . I read the monthly rate is$545!
Mar 21, 2024 · allison perryThis is a trailer park, there are no "rooms". My friend has lived here for awhile, and over that time it's gotten much better. The space granted to each guest is adequate, the monthly rent can get a tad high, depending on your situation.
Oct 21, 2023 · Edward MolenThe location was excellent. The manager, Bryan, did a fantastic job maintaining the park and making sure everyone abided by the rules. The rules were very reasonable and I always felt super safe here. The manager was alway helpful and welcoming to the people who are supposed to be there. We would definitely stay here again if we lived in Tucson again. Ignore the bad reviews. Those are just from stubborn people who got kicked out for valid reasons.
Sep 19, 2020 · Jennifer BraunManagement ladies are disrespectful and rude, I was parked in a parking stop and they told me I needed to move. No signs that said "No parking" or "Restricted Parking" DO NOT recommend
