Lee's Country Campground Introduce
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience that offers a blend of rural tranquility and convenient access to urban amenities, Lee's Country Campground, located at 684 Co Rd 4651, Rhome, TX 76078, USA, presents an interesting option. Based on the available customer reviews, this no-frills park offers a quiet country setting and is particularly noted for its long-term residents and the presence of rescued farm animals. While one review raises concerns about deposit policies, the other highlights the peaceful environment and the unique charm of the resident animal sounds. This introduction will objectively explore the potential environment, services, and features of Lee's Country Campground based on these contrasting perspectives.
The environment of Lee's Country Campground is described as a "quiet country park," suggesting a peaceful and rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located near Rhome, Texas, the campground benefits from a more laid-back atmosphere typical of countryside locations. One reviewer mentioned the ability to "see the stars every night," indicating minimal light pollution and a connection to the natural night sky, a significant draw for those seeking a respite from urban environments. Despite its rural feel, the park is noted to be "close to 287 with easy access to city life," providing a balance between countryside serenity and the convenience of nearby urban amenities. A unique aspect of the environment at Lee's Country Campground is the presence of rescued animals, including "chickens, pigs, horses, cows and goats." This creates a distinctive auditory landscape and an opportunity for animal lovers to experience the sounds of a working farm or animal rescue. Potential campers should be prepared for these natural sounds, which one long-term resident embraces as part of the charm. The "no frills" description suggests a focus on the natural environment and basic amenities rather than extensive landscaping or modern facilities. For local users looking for a "camping near me" experience that offers a quiet, country setting with the unique element of farm animal sounds, Lee's Country Campground could be an appealing choice.
Information regarding the specific services at Lee's Country Campground is somewhat limited in the provided reviews. One long-term resident describes it as a "no frills park," suggesting that the services might be basic and focus on the essentials for comfortable living. The mention of a "monthly price" being good indicates that the campground caters to long-term RV residents, implying the availability of standard RV hookups such as water and electricity. It is reasonable to assume the presence of a waste disposal system, although this is not explicitly stated. The first review mentions leaving a deposit, suggesting a reservation system and perhaps different pricing structures for short-term versus long-term stays. The availability of other common campground services, such as restroom and shower facilities, laundry, or recreational areas, is not mentioned in the provided feedback. Potential short-term campers or RVers looking for a "camping near me" option should inquire specifically about the availability of these amenities. The contrasting experience regarding deposit refunds suggests that the campground's administrative policies might be a point of consideration for prospective guests. However, the positive experience of the long-term resident indicates that the fundamental services for comfortable living, at least for RVers, are likely in place. To obtain a comprehensive understanding of all services offered, contacting Lee's Country Campground directly is recommended.
The features of Lee's Country Campground are hinted at through the customer reviews. The primary feature appears to be its quiet, country setting, offering a peaceful retreat from urban noise. The easy access to Highway 287 provides the convenience of reaching city amenities while still enjoying a rural atmosphere. The presence of rescued farm animals is a unique feature that might appeal to animal lovers and those seeking a more rustic or farm-like experience. The "no frills" nature of the park suggests that the features might be more focused on functionality rather than luxury or extensive recreational facilities. For long-term RV residents, the good monthly price is a significant feature. Potential features for all campers likely include individual sites (presumably with RV hookups), and possibly basic amenities like picnic tables or common areas, although these are not explicitly mentioned. The ability to see the stars at night indicates minimal light pollution, a feature that appeals to those who enjoy stargazing. The proximity to nature and the sounds of farm animals create a unique sensory environment that distinguishes Lee's Country Campground from more conventional RV parks or campgrounds. Local users looking for a "camping near me" option with a quiet, country feel and the distinctive presence of farm animals might find these features appealing. However, those seeking extensive amenities or a more manicured park setting should be aware of the "no frills" description.
Promotional information for Lee's Country Campground is not explicitly provided in the customer reviews. One review mentions a "good monthly price," which could be considered a promotional aspect for long-term RV residents. However, there are no details about short-term rates, seasonal discounts, or any other special offers. Local users searching for "camping near me" and interested in the pricing and availability at Lee's Country Campground should contact them directly at (817) 638-2530 or +1 817-638-2530. Inquiring about daily, weekly, and monthly rates, as well as any potential discounts for local residents or first-time visitors, would be beneficial. Given the mention of a deposit, it would also be prudent to ask about the campground's deposit and refund policies to avoid any misunderstandings. While the long-term monthly rate is noted as good, the cost and policies for shorter stays are unknown without direct communication. Therefore, potential campers should reach out to Lee's Country Campground to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information on pricing and any available promotions.
In conclusion, Lee's Country Campground near Rhome, TX, offers a "camping near me" experience characterized by a quiet, rural environment with convenient access to city life. The presence of rescued farm animals adds a unique charm and auditory backdrop to this "no frills" park. While one review raises concerns about deposit policies, the positive experience of a long-term resident highlights the peaceful setting and the appeal of the animal sounds. The campground appears to cater to long-term RV residents with potentially good monthly rates, but short-term campers should inquire about specific services and amenities available. Local users seeking a tranquil country escape with easy urban access and a distinctive farm animal ambiance might find Lee's Country Campground a suitable option. However, due to the limited and somewhat contrasting feedback, direct communication with the campground management is crucial to obtain detailed information about services, features, pricing, and policies to ensure it meets individual camping needs and expectations.

Lee's Country Campground Reviews
So I have not been able to stay here so I can't say much about the stay. But I can say that due to the situation accord in the few days before making it there after leaving a deposit. Which being that my truck caught fire I wasn't able to get my deposit back if any at least half. These people are not to reasonable or fare minded. Yes monthly price is good but anything else might not have been. Basically this states how they are overall. The gentleman that I spoken to seemed more reasonable but who knows. God bless
Jun 22, 2022 · Russell ClarkWe are happy to live here in this quiet country park. The park is close to 287 with easy access to city life, but we can see the stars every night. Landlord rescues animals, so be prepared to fall in love with the sounds of chickens, pigs, horses, cows and goats!! This no frills park has been our home for 2 years!
Mar 12, 2024 · Starr MarshallThis campground is the best 😁 super quite close to the city but like country living !! And love all the farm animals.. lived here for 2 years and love it here.. and the owners are awesome people ❣️
Aug 03, 2024 · Carrie AikmanVery peaceful and quiet. The family that runs the park is very friendly. I spent 2 years there while working in the area. Bring your own boards to assist in leveling your tires for a few of the RV spaces. There are deer and wild turkey in the area. Excellent long term or overnight RV park. WW
May 02, 2011 · Walter WoodIt's not a bad place. Well depending on your standard. if you're looking for something cheap and a long time and don't mind chickens and horses goats. Let's just say animals in general then you're fine. The owner is really sweet and that's about the jest of it, it's an RV park what more to say LOL
