Are you searching for "camping near me" in the Bozeman, Montana area? If so, Bozeman Hot Springs Campground, located at 150 Welcome Dr, Bozeman, MT 59718, USA, is an option that uniquely includes access to the Bozeman Hot Springs. You can reach them by phone at (406) 587-3030 or via mobile at +1 406-587-3030. Based on customer reviews, this campground offers a valuable experience due to its hot springs access and friendly hosts, although the campground itself has some noted limitations.
When considering "camping near me," the amenities and unique features of a location often play a significant role in the decision-making process. Bozeman Hot Springs Campground stands out by offering included access to the Bozeman Hot Springs for two people with the camping fee. One reviewer noted that while the camping cost might initially seem high, "when you consider it includes the hot springs for 2, it's not terrible and the experience is great." This integration of a relaxing and enjoyable hot springs experience with camping is a significant feature that differentiates this location from typical campgrounds.
The environment of Bozeman Hot Springs Campground, based on the reviews, presents a mixed picture. On the positive side, one reviewer who camped during extremely cold weather (-20F) highlighted a "great community" spirit, where hosts were helpful in jump-starting vehicles that had frozen up. This suggests a supportive and accommodating atmosphere among both the staff and fellow campers. The hosts are described as "super friendly and helpful." However, another reviewer mentioned that "the campground itself needs a lot of work," noting the presence of "permanent veers on site and some construction going on." These observations indicate that while the social environment and host support might be commendable, the physical condition and ongoing development of the campground could be areas of concern for some visitors.
Regarding services, one detailed review pointed out some confusion regarding water availability. While the reservation confirmation and a phone call indicated no water during the stay, there was actually a section where campers could fill their freshwater tanks. Furthermore, upon arrival, the reviewer was informed that their specific site (G6) did have water available, provided they had a heated hose. This discrepancy suggests potential internal communication issues regarding the availability of water services at different sites within the campground. Despite the initial confusion, the presence of a freshwater fill-up area and water hookups at some sites are services that campers can utilize.
The features of Bozeman Hot Springs Campground are primarily highlighted by the inclusion of access to the hot springs. This is a unique amenity that provides relaxation and recreation for campers. Additionally, the presence of a supportive community and helpful hosts can be considered a significant feature, especially in challenging conditions. However, the reviews also point out some less desirable features of the campground itself. One reviewer with a 40’ 5th wheel described the campground as "pretty tight to maneuver," specifically mentioning difficulty making turns to access their site (G6), which was the first site upon entering. They even had to use the packed hot springs parking lot to turn around. Another significant concern raised was the "SUPER TIGHT SITES," with one reviewer noting having three RVs within steps of their front door, resulting in "zero privacy." The lack of level sites and the general condition of the campground were also mentioned as areas needing improvement.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. Campgrounds often have varying pricing based on the type of site (e.g., tent, RV, with hookups), the season, and the duration of stay. The first reviewer who found the initial camping price seemingly high but acceptable due to the hot springs access didn't specify the cost. The second reviewer mentioned a price of $95 per night, which they felt was "a bit steep" given the condition and spacing of the sites. To get accurate information on current pricing, packages that include hot springs access, or any other promotions, it would be best to contact Bozeman Hot Springs Campground directly.
In summary, Bozeman Hot Springs Campground offers a compelling feature with its included access to the hot springs, and the hosts are consistently praised for being friendly and helpful. This creates a potentially great overall experience, as noted by one reviewer. However, the campground itself appears to have some drawbacks, including tight maneuvering for large RVs, close proximity between sites leading to a lack of privacy, and potentially uneven sites, along with ongoing construction. There was also some initial confusion reported regarding water availability.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in Bozeman, MT, who value access to hot springs and friendly service, Bozeman Hot Springs Campground is worth considering. However, those with large RVs or those who prioritize spacious and well-maintained campsites with good privacy should be aware of the potential limitations mentioned in the reviews. It would be advisable to inquire about site sizes and the current state of any construction when making a reservation.
To get the most up-to-date information on site availability, pricing (including the hot springs access), and the current condition of the campground, please contact Bozeman Hot Springs Campground directly at (406) 587-3030. You can also inquire about specific site recommendations based on the size of your RV or your preferences for space and amenities.

Bozeman Hot Springs Campground Reviews
It seems expensive to camp, but when you consider it includes the hot springs for 2, it's not terrible and the experience is great. Super friendly and helpful hosts! We had a great time despite a few of us with Sprinter Vans freezing up in -20F temps. There was a great community and the hosts helped jump start all of us and were very accommodating! Thank you!
Feb 17, 2025 · Jason De LormeUnfortunately, the campground itself needs a lot of work. It seems as there are permanent veers on site and some construction going on.Here’s a few things to point out.1) There was some confusion regarding the water availability, upon making a reservation. I received the confirmation email which stated there would be no water during my stay. However, they did have a section where you could go and fill up your freshwater tanks.2) I called the day before to confirm if water was available & I was told NO. However, they did have a section where you could fill your fresh water tanks. Okay, this made me feel much better. Upon arriving, my husband immediately went to fill our freshwater tanks 80 gallons, as I checked in it was stated that the site that we are staying on does have water as long as we had a heated hose which we did. It appeared that there was a lack of communication internally.3) the other concern is the campground being pretty tight to maneuver a 40’ 5th wheel. After we understood where our site was (G6) which was the first site upon entering the campground. Due to the tightness we could NOT make a left turn and another sharp left. NOT with a huge rig like ours. We had to leave, turning into the Bozeman Hot Springs parking lot (which was super packed) to turn around and re-enter the campground.4) With all that said, I felt that the price of $95 per night is a bit steep. If the campground was nicer and have more space between the sites, have level sites and be big rig friendly. Which I failed to mention >>>>>> SUPER TIGHT SITES - I had 3 RVs within steps of my front door. Zero privacy.Would we come back, probably not.The positive
Apr 07, 2025 · Jewelz GarciaWe booked a RV site, and the cost included entry to the pools. We were very impressed with the facilities. Very clean. They may have many rules, but this keeps this place gorgeous. Even though we were there for just one night, we were able to access the pools for two days. The day that we were there, they had a band playing in the evening. The Springs lit up the perimeter of the pools with flames, which added that little bit of warmth on a cool evening. We will definitely come back again. Worth the visit.
Aug 31, 2024 · C JOne of the best campsites we've ever been to. Superb facilities, including 12 hotsprings pools, the indoor ones literally virgin spring water from the earth! The outdoor ones have a little chlorine but still are the real deal. The cafe is fantastic with an array of vegan, veggie etc options. My kids 5 and 8 adored the gold panning experience which was only 10 dollars and they got a bunch of rocks and toys from. There was a free movie night with complimentary popcorn and pizza. There were loads of outdoor toys available to play with for free, a gorgeous playground and so many cute streams and bridges for kids. The staff super friendly, the campsite very peaceful and so close to the airport. Highly recommend. Excellent value for money.
Jun 29, 2024 · Tara Loader WilkinsonStayed here on our last night of vacation because it was close to the RV rental place. We did use the Hit Springs for a short time because the price was included in our camping fee but not sure it was worth it. Wish we had been given a choice. The Hot Springs had live music which kept me awake until 10 pm. Had I known about that I would have gone elsewhere. The space around our RV was very tight. Fire pit right next to our neighbors. Didn't bother to enjoy sitting outside.
