M&M resort Introduce
This introduction provides crucial information regarding "M&M Resort" at 140 Longview Rd, Lancaster, CA 93535, USA, which has been identified as a "campground" in the query. However, based on the provided customer reviews, there is a significant and urgent discrepancy that needs to be addressed. The strong warnings from recent visitors indicate that this location is, in fact, private property and not a public campground. Therefore, the information will reflect this critical distinction, emphasizing the need for caution for anyone searching "Camping Near Me" and encountering this address.
The address 140 Longview Rd, Lancaster, CA 93535, is situated in the high desert region of Southern California, specifically in the Antelope Valley. One positive review describes it as a "Beautiful spot" with "lots of lizards and coyotes," and mentions a "small creek that runs through here for a week or two after it rains." This paints a picture of a typical high desert environment, characterized by arid landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and seasonal water features. The allure of such a natural setting for camping is understandable, promising an escape into nature.
However, this positive perception of the environment is overshadowed by severe warnings from other users. These warnings explicitly state that the location is "private property." This means that while the natural setting might indeed be beautiful, it is not accessible to the public for recreational activities like camping without explicit permission from the owners. The area is likely rural, with sparse development, which might contribute to its mistaken identity as open land for public use.
Given the nature of the reviews, M&M Resort, at this address, does not offer conventional "services or goods for sale" as a public campground. Instead, the "features" highlighted by recent experiences are deterrents rather than amenities. The most critical information is that "This is private property and the owners will chase you off and/or call the police on you for trespassing." Furthermore, visitors are warned that "They will have your car towed and have you fined for trespassing and/or camping on their land."
Another significant feature mentioned is the presence of "a very large King Corso dog that roams their property and may be there to protect the property." This detail underscores the seriousness with which the property owners protect their land, and it poses a potential safety concern for unwitting visitors. The phone numbers provided, (661) 948-6060 and +1 661-948-6060, would likely connect to the property owners or a representative, and based on the reviews, using them to inquire about public access would likely result in a denial.
Therefore, it is imperative for anyone considering this location for camping to understand that there are no public camping services, facilities, or authorized access. The only "service" experienced by those who attempt to trespass is confrontation with property owners and potential legal repercussions.
For users searching "Camping Near Me," it is essential to convey a strong warning regarding "M&M Resort" at 140 Longview Rd, Lancaster, CA 93535. Despite one positive review that seems to suggest public camping is possible, the overwhelming evidence from other reviews clearly indicates this is not a public camping area. Any perceived "promotional information" must be framed as a severe caution:
- NOT a Public Campground: It is critical to understand that this location is explicitly identified as private property. It is not an "M&M Resort" in the sense of a commercial or publicly accessible camping destination.
- Risk of Trespassing: Attempting to access or camp on this land constitutes trespassing, which can lead to legal consequences, including police involvement, fines, and vehicle towing.
- Safety Concerns: The presence of a large dog described as protecting the property adds a direct safety risk to anyone who attempts to enter the premises.
- Avoid at All Costs: The direct advice from a concerned past visitor to "avoid this property at all costs" should be heeded by anyone seeking a camping spot. "It is not what it is labeled as," meaning it does not function as a legitimate public camping resort.
In the context of "Camping Near Me," potential campers are strongly advised to seek out verifiable and legally accessible campgrounds in the Lancaster, CA, area. There are numerous legitimate state parks, national forest campgrounds, and private RV parks in the broader Antelope Valley region that offer authorized and safe camping experiences. Always verify the public accessibility and ownership of any potential camping location through official sources before visiting to avoid legal issues and ensure personal safety.
In conclusion, while one review portrays M&M Resort as a "great spot for camping," the conflicting and more detailed negative reviews unequivocally state that this location at 140 Longview Rd, Lancaster, CA, is private property. It does not offer public camping services. Any attempt to camp there will be considered trespassing and will likely result in severe consequences from the property owners, including legal action and potential danger. Therefore, for anyone searching "Camping Near Me," this address should be approached with extreme caution and ideally avoided in favor of verified public or commercial campgrounds.

Had a blast! Great spot for camping, lots of lizards and coyotes! There is a small creek that runs through here for a week or two after it rains. Beautiful spot.I think whoever left the one star review is just trying to keep other people away from this spot

They will have your car towed and have you fined for trespassing and/or camping on their land. They also have a very large King Corso dog that roams their property and may be there to protect the property. I was glad I was already in my vehicle before it got to me. I would avoid this property at all costs. It is not what it is labeled as.
