Indian Point Campground Introduce
Are you a local resident of Branson, Missouri, or the surrounding areas searching for a scenic and well-equipped "camping near me" experience? Look no further than Indian Point Campground, located on Indian Point Campground Dr, Branson, MO 65616, USA. You can reach them for inquiries and reservations at (417) 338-2121 or +1 417-338-2121. Based on recent customer reviews, Indian Point Campground offers a beautiful and clean environment with a variety of amenities, making it a strong contender for your next local camping adventure.
Indian Point Campground boasts a beautiful location with a "nice lake view," suggesting that campers can enjoy the scenic beauty of one of the area's pristine lakes, likely Table Rock Lake given its prominence in the Branson region. The presence of a lake often enhances the camping experience, offering opportunities for water-based activities and tranquil views. The overall grounds are reported to be "mowed nicely," indicating that the management takes pride in maintaining an attractive and well-kept environment for their guests.
The campground offers a diverse landscape, catering to different camping preferences. While specific details about the terrain aren't extensive, the mention of a "pebble beach" and "shoreline for fishing" indicates direct access to the lake. The availability of ample parking suggests convenience for campers arriving with vehicles and gear. The combination of natural beauty and practical amenities makes Indian Point Campground an appealing option for those seeking a lakeside retreat.
For RV travelers, Indian Point Campground appears to offer excellent facilities. One reviewer who stayed with their RV for a week in late August reported their camp spot as "nicely paved and level," which are crucial features for ensuring a comfortable and stable setup. Each RV site is equipped with essential hookups for "water and electric," providing convenience for RVers. Additionally, each spot includes a "picnic table, fire ring and a grill," enhancing the outdoor living experience. The surface of the RV sites is gravel, which helps with drainage and keeping the area tidy.
However, local users intending to tent camp should take note of a significant issue raised in another review. Two sites specifically marked for "tent (no hookups)" were described as being "on a hill with several large rocks." The reviewer noted that there was only one small area between the two sites that was flat enough for an 8-person tent, and even there, they experienced sliding down in their tent. This resulted in a son falling off his cot due to the incline. The reviewer suggested that these particular sites should either be designated for day use or clearly marked online as unsuitable for tent camping. This feedback is crucial for local tent campers to consider when making reservations.
A significant positive aspect of Indian Point Campground is the cleanliness and accessibility of its bathroom facilities. Reviewers consistently describe the bathrooms as "very clean" and "decent." Each bathroom is equipped with a "sink, toilet and shower" and is also "ADA compliant," ensuring accessibility for all guests, including those with disabilities. Clean and accessible restrooms are a fundamental requirement for a comfortable camping experience, and Indian Point Campground seems to excel in this area.
Indian Point Campground offers a range of recreational amenities to keep guests of all ages entertained. Families with children will appreciate the "wonderful playground," providing a safe and fun space for kids to play. For those looking to cool off and enjoy the lake, there is a "large designated swimming area at a pebble beach," offering a pleasant spot for swimming and sunbathing. The "shoreline for fishing" provides opportunities for anglers to try their luck in the lake.
The combination of a playground, swimming area, and fishing shoreline makes Indian Point Campground a versatile destination for families and individuals alike, catering to various outdoor interests.
One reviewer mentioned spending a week at Indian Point Campground with their "2 dogs" and indicated they would definitely return, suggesting that the campground is pet-friendly. However, it's always advisable for local users planning to bring pets to inquire about specific pet policies, such as leash rules, designated pet areas, and any restrictions on certain breeds or sizes. While one guest had a positive experience with their dogs, understanding the campground's complete pet policy will ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay for both you and your furry companions.
Indian Point Campground provides essential services that contribute to a comfortable and convenient stay. The presence of a "dump station for RVs" is a significant amenity for those traveling with recreational vehicles, allowing for proper waste disposal. The provision of "water and electric hookups" at the RV sites further enhances the convenience for RV campers. The inclusion of a "picnic table, fire ring and a grill" at each site (both RV and presumably tent, though the tent site issue needs consideration) encourages outdoor cooking and gathering.
In addition to the beautiful setting and clean facilities, Indian Point Campground is described as "quiet" and having "nice staff." A quiet atmosphere is often appreciated by campers seeking a peaceful retreat, allowing for relaxation and enjoyment of the natural surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff can greatly enhance the overall camping experience, providing assistance and ensuring guests feel welcome.
For local residents of Branson and the surrounding areas looking for a "camping near me" destination that offers a beautiful lakeside setting, clean amenities, and a range of recreational activities, Indian Point Campground is a strong contender. The well-equipped RV sites and the appeal of lake access for swimming and fishing make it particularly attractive. Families will appreciate the playground, and the ADA-compliant restrooms ensure accessibility for all.
However, local tent campers should be aware of the potential issues with the tent-designated sites on the hill and consider inquiring specifically about the suitability and levelness of their chosen tent site when making a reservation. It might be beneficial to request a specific site number if possible, or to confirm with the management that improvements have been made to the tent camping areas.
The provided information and customer reviews do not mention any specific promotional offers or discounts for Indian Point Campground. Local users are encouraged to contact the campground directly at (417) 338-2121 or +1 417-338-2121 to inquire about any potential local resident rates, seasonal specials, or other promotions that may be available.
In conclusion, Indian Point Campground offers a beautiful and clean "camping near me" option in Branson, Missouri, with excellent amenities for RV campers and appealing recreational facilities for all. The lakeside location, clean restrooms, and friendly atmosphere are significant draws. However, local tent campers should exercise caution and seek specific information about tent site conditions before booking. Contact Indian Point Campground directly to plan your lakeside camping adventure and inquire about any potential local offers.

Sep 10, 2024 · C BurklowBeautiful and clean, with a nice lake view and decent bathrooms, quiet and nice staff. However our 2 sites marked for tent (no hookups) were on a hill with several large rocks. There was only 1 area between the two sites flat enough for an 8 person tent and we still slid down in our tent. My son fell off his cot, downhill. Other sites seemed fine and the area is fine for RVs; our sites should be sold as Day Use or marked online as not usable for a tent. The playground was wonderful!
Sep 30, 2024 · Michelle HThis is a beautiful COE park with modern infrastructure including paved sites, 50A, water hookups, and restrooms.
Oct 23, 2024 · Kevin ShortThis is my new favorite campground in Branson! For starters, it was only $20 a night to camp. They also have an amazing gravel beach that is roped off for swinming. It even has free life jackets available for use if you forgot yours. There is a large marina and it's fun to look at the boats. Best of all, the camp sites were HUGE! They were well shaded and offered a lot of privacy. It is also extremely close to silver dollar city.
Jul 29, 2019 · Stephanie SpellazzaVery beautiful campground at the top of indian point. Long uphill travel to get to the site. The site was a pull through but not level at all. Campground was quiet and picturesque.
