Branson KOA Holiday Introduce
For local residents and tourists seeking "camping near me" in the heart of Branson, Missouri, the Branson KOA Holiday, located at 397 Animal Safari Rd, presents a well-known option. As part of the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) network, it generally offers a range of camping accommodations and amenities. However, recent customer reviews provide a mixed perspective, highlighting both its strengths, such as friendly staff and convenient location, and some potential drawbacks, including dusty conditions in certain areas and a lack of extensive landscaping.
The environment of Branson KOA Holiday appears to be functional and geared towards providing easy access to the numerous attractions that Branson has to offer. Its location, just "5-10 mins from most attractions in Branson," is consistently cited as a significant advantage. This proximity allows campers to quickly and conveniently reach theaters, amusement parks, shopping centers, and other entertainment venues that make Branson a popular tourist destination. However, one reviewer noted "serious hills coming up and going down from the park," which might be a consideration for those with mobility issues or larger RVs navigating the internal roads. Another significant environmental factor mentioned is the presence of dust, with one guest describing their area (site 177) as "very dusty" with "gravel, dust, sand all over" and a lack of "grass or trees in this entire area." This suggests that while the location is convenient, certain parts of the campground might lack natural landscaping and could be prone to dusty conditions, especially during dry periods.
In terms of services, Branson KOA Holiday seems to prioritize customer care. Multiple reviewers commend the staff for being "super friendly and helpful." One anecdote illustrates this particularly well: when a guest experienced a water leak at their site, the staff noticed it and had it fixed within minutes, even before the guest had a chance to report it. Staff members are also described as being proactive and attentive, even stopping on their golf carts to check on campers. Basic services such as "trash pickup" are also noted as being efficient. The campground is also reported to be "very clean and tidy" overall, suggesting that while some areas might be dusty, the general maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities are well-regarded.
The features of Branson KOA Holiday include a variety of campsite options. While the specific types (e.g., pull-through, back-in) and amenities (e.g., hookups) are not fully detailed in the reviews, the mention of hooking up to water implies the availability of at least some utility connections. One reviewer noted that the "sites are pretty narrow and somewhat unlevel," which could be a concern for some RV owners requiring more space or perfectly level ground. Some sites reportedly have "patio decks," but one guest found them to be just "ok," suggesting they might not be particularly impressive. The lack of "real nice views of much" was also mentioned by this reviewer, indicating that scenic vistas might not be a primary feature of the campground. The comfortable spacing between campsites was appreciated by one guest, suggesting that while the sites might be narrow, they are not overly crowded.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Local users interested in learning about current rates, discounts, or any special packages offered by Branson KOA Holiday should contact them directly using the phone numbers provided: (417) 334-4414 or the mobile number +1 417-334-4414. As a KOA Holiday campground, it is possible that they participate in KOA's membership program and offer discounts to members. Inquiring about these options, as well as any seasonal promotions or local resident rates, would be a good step for those considering a stay.
The convenience of Branson KOA Holiday's location cannot be overstated, especially for those primarily visiting Branson for its entertainment and attractions. The short drive to most of these venues saves travel time and makes it easy to come and go from the campground. However, potential guests should weigh this convenience against the environmental factors mentioned, such as the dusty conditions in some areas and the lack of extensive natural landscaping. The noise level at night due to nearby streets was also noted by one reviewer, which might be a concern for light sleepers seeking a completely tranquil environment.
The mixed review that described the park as "just ok at best" provides a balanced perspective. While acknowledging the convenient location and friendly staff, this reviewer expressed disappointment with the dusty conditions, unlevel and narrow sites, lack of views and landscaping, and nighttime noise. They felt that the park was "average at a price" and suggested that there are "much nicer RV parks in the area with trees, landscaping etc." This highlights the importance of considering individual preferences and priorities when choosing a campground. For those who prioritize proximity to Branson's attractions above all else, Branson KOA Holiday might be a suitable option. However, those seeking a more scenic, spacious, and naturally landscaped environment might want to explore other RV parks in the vicinity.
In conclusion, Branson KOA Holiday offers a conveniently located campground for those looking to explore the attractions of Branson, Missouri. The friendly and helpful staff and clean facilities are consistently praised. However, potential guests should be aware that some areas of the park may experience dusty conditions, and the sites might be somewhat narrow and unlevel with limited natural landscaping or scenic views. The noise from nearby streets could also be a factor for some. For local users searching for "camping near me" focused on easy access to Branson's entertainment, Branson KOA Holiday is worth considering, but it is advisable to inquire about specific site conditions and compare it with other campgrounds in the area based on your individual preferences for environment and amenities. Contact them directly for the most current information on rates and availability.

Branson KOA Holiday Reviews
What a great place to stay in Branson. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If they were out and about on their golf carts and we were outside, they would always stop and check on us. When we go to our site and hooked up to the water, there was a leak coming from the spigot. Before I had a chance to turn it in, the staff already noticed it and had it fixed in a few minutes. The whole campground was very clean and tidy. There seemed to be a comfortable amount of space between each campsite. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Branson.
Apr 14, 2025 · Matt WilsonThis place is just ok at best. It is conveniently located only 5-10 mins from most attractions in Branson which is its best attribute. I was in site 177. Serious hills coming up and going down from the park. Very dusty here at sites. Gravel, dust , sand all over this part of park. No grass or trees in this entire area. Sites are pretty narrow and somewhat unlevel. No real nice views of much. Even the sites with patio decks are just ok. No real bling. Somewhat noisy at night due to nearby streets. Staff was very nice and friendly. Trash pickup nice too. I was not wowed by any aspect of the park. It’s just ok. There are much nicer RV parks in the area with trees, landscaping etc. Sorry but would not stay here again. Average park at a price. For the $ , I’m looking elsewhere. We’ve stayed in a lot of places and were somewhat disappointed overall
Mar 21, 2025 · EJ ChezzGreat campground. Shower houses were close to our lot which was great and they were cleaned regularly. Breakfast items were offered for a nominal fee Thursdays - Sundays and the food was excellent. Nice shady lots with plenty of room. WiFi was free and fast, had no trouble streaming a movie at night. Will visit again.
Aug 06, 2024 · Patti CludrayEnjoyed our stay in the small cabin with a bathroom. The campground is nice and maintained. However, for the cabins I have a couple of suggestions: a small light over by coffee pot table, a shelf beside the bed on the wall and a shelf on the wall toward end of bed for beside side use, a little shelf in bathroom for essentials, a light over by "closet" area to see in your suitcase. It's a good thing we brought a small battery lantern. Cabin had comfy bed and pillows!
May 03, 2024 · Vickie RidenourThis KOA campground is just OK. Having stayed in KOAs all over the country I expected more. There were no events, the playground was just a regular jungle gym like you would have in your backyard, there was no game room, the pool closed promptly at 8 even though the sun didn't set for another hour. The pool was smaller than I would have expected too. The sites are super close together which would have been a problem if the campground was full, but it was not full so it was not too much of an issue. None of the RV sites were anywhere near level. The dog park is really far from just about everything. The all you can eat pancakes were really good, it would be better if they served them every day. They did allow pets in the cabins which was the #1 reason why we stayed here. It is conveniently located near a lot of things in Branson.
