Lucked out with the weather lottery on a mid September camping reservation.Site "is" close to the highway and you can hear it but couldn't see it (at least from my site).Sites are a fair distance from neighbors. Varies in size from smaller pullouts, to pull thru and even double site pull thru. The site we had was a double which was enough room for my truck, 30' travel trailer, and for my kids truck and daughters SUV. The site had two nice picnic tables, fire pit with grate, and plenty of space for the kids two tents.Asphalt road with a speed bump. Pit (but clean) toilets. Potable water sources. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Camp fires allowed in firepits and firewood bundles available for $10. - Steve Schiffer

Based on recent customer reviews, North Fork Campground offers a generally positive camping experience in a "beautiful spot." One reviewer who camped in mid-September described lucking out with good weather, highlighting the potential for pleasant conditions during the shoulder seasons. The campground's layout seems to offer a degree of spaciousness and variety in site sizes. One camper noted that sites are a "fair distance from neighbors," enhancing the sense of privacy. The campground accommodates different types of camping setups, ranging from "smaller pullouts" to "pull thru" and even "double site pull thru" options. The double site described was large enough to accommodate a truck, a 30' travel trailer, a second truck, and an SUV, along with two tents, indicating ample space for families or groups. Each site appears to be well-equipped with "two nice picnic tables" and a "fire pit with grate," essential amenities for comfortable camping.

The infrastructure within the campground includes an "asphalt road with a speed bump," suggesting relatively easy navigation within the campground itself. While the toilet facilities are "pit (but clean) toilets," the cleanliness was notably praised by one reviewer who stated they were "seriously, the cleanest pit toilets I've ever experienced." This attention to cleanliness is a significant positive aspect for any campground. Potable water sources are also available, ensuring campers have access to drinking water.

The presence of a "friendly and helpful" camp host is another significant feature highlighted in the reviews. A helpful host can greatly enhance the camping experience by providing information, assistance, and ensuring the smooth operation of the campground. Campfires are allowed in the provided fire pits, and for added convenience, "firewood bundles" are available for purchase on-site for $10, although one review notes that payment is "cash only" due to the lack of internet access for card transactions. This is an important practical detail for campers to be aware of.

In terms of the environment, while described as a "beautiful spot," one reviewer noted that the site "is close to the highway and you can hear it but couldn't see it (at least from my site)." This suggests that while the campground maintains a natural ambiance, some sites may experience some noise from nearby traffic. When making reservations, it might be worth inquiring about sites that are further away from the highway if noise sensitivity is a concern.
