Pine Point Campground Introduce
Searching for the ultimate "camping near me" experience centered around beautiful lake access? Look no further than Pine Point Campground, located at 27699 256th St, Holcombe, WI 54745. Situated directly on the shores of the picturesque Lake Holcombe, this campground appears to offer a unique opportunity for waterfront camping, particularly appealing to those who enjoy boating, fishing, and the tranquility of lakeside living. While specific details about the number of sites and comprehensive amenities are limited in the provided information, the existing reviews strongly suggest a focus on providing prime waterfront locations for campers.
The environment of Pine Point Campground is undoubtedly its most significant feature. The reviews explicitly mention "great spots right on the water," indicating that many, if not all, campsites boast direct access to Lake Holcombe. This prime location offers campers the unparalleled convenience of stepping right from their campsite to the water's edge. Imagine waking up to the serene views of the lake, enjoying your morning coffee with the gentle sounds of lapping water, and having immediate access for various water-based activities. Lake Holcombe is a significant body of water in Wisconsin, known for its recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, and swimming. Camping directly on its shore provides an immersive and highly desirable outdoor experience.
One particularly notable feature highlighted in a review is the availability of docks directly outside some campsites, offering a dedicated space for boat mooring. This is a significant advantage for boating enthusiasts, allowing for effortless access to the lake for leisurely cruises, watersports, or fishing excursions. The convenience of having your boat right at your doorstep truly enhances the lakeside camping experience. For those who enjoy fishing, Lake Holcombe is known to be a productive lake, offering opportunities to catch various fish species. Waking up and having the ability to fish right from a nearby dock is a major draw for anglers.
While the reviews enthusiastically praise the waterfront locations, one camper noted a desire for more information regarding specific campsite numbers when people share pictures. This highlights the appeal of individual sites and the potential for varying characteristics among them. If you are a camper who likes to research and select a specific site based on its features or view, this feedback suggests that visual information paired with site numbers would be highly beneficial when making a reservation.
Another review provides some practical insights regarding the layout of the campsites. It mentions that while their waterfront location was excellent, the sites could benefit from being "a little deeper and angled a little better" for backing in a large camper (42 feet). This suggests that while the location is ideal, maneuvering larger RVs might present a slight challenge at some sites. Additionally, the reviewer noted "a few less trees" would be preferable for easier navigation with a large rig. This indicates that the campground likely features a natural, possibly wooded environment, which contributes to the scenic beauty but might require careful maneuvering for larger vehicles. It's advisable for RV campers, especially those with longer units, to inquire about site dimensions and accessibility when making a reservation.
The limited information available does not provide specific details about other amenities such as restroom facilities, shower availability, picnic tables, or fire pits. However, based on the expectation for most established campgrounds, it is reasonable to assume the presence of basic amenities. Potential services might include potable water access and waste disposal, although this is not explicitly stated. Given the focus on waterfront access, the primary feature appears to be the direct connection to Lake Holcombe and the opportunities it provides for boating and fishing.
In terms of promotional information, the most compelling aspect of Pine Point Campground, based on the available reviews, is its exceptional waterfront location on Lake Holcombe. The promise of "great spots right on the water" and the potential for having a "dock right outside your door" serve as strong incentives for those seeking a lake-centric camping experience. For local users who value direct access to boating and fishing, Pine Point Campground appears to be a prime destination. The natural beauty of Lake Holcombe and the convenience of waterfront campsites offer a unique and appealing getaway.
To fully appreciate the offerings of Pine Point Campground and to make informed decisions about booking, potential campers are encouraged to contact the campground directly using the provided phone number ((715) 726-7882 or +1 715-726-7882). Inquiring about the number and types of campsites available, the specific amenities offered at each site (e.g., hookups, fire pits, picnic tables), the availability and cost of using docks, and any specific regulations or guidelines would be beneficial. For RV campers, especially those with larger rigs, it would be prudent to ask about site dimensions and ease of access.
In conclusion, Pine Point Campground in Holcombe, WI, appears to be a highly desirable destination for those seeking "camping near me" with direct access to Lake Holcombe. The standout features are undoubtedly the waterfront campsites, with some offering the added luxury of private docks, making it a haven for boating and fishing enthusiasts. While one review suggests that maneuvering larger RVs might require consideration and that more detailed site information with pictures and numbers would be helpful, the overall sentiment points towards a fantastic lakeside camping experience. If waking up to lake views and having immediate access for water activities is your priority, Pine Point Campground on Lake Holcombe is certainly worth exploring further.

Pine Point Campground Reviews
Great spots right on the water. Really wish that when people post pictures of their campsite they would include the site number! Sometimes you see a picture of a site you would love to book but it is really hard to figure out what site it is.
Apr 02, 2025 · Carolyn SawyerWe had a dock right outside our door for our boat. Sites could have been a little deeper and angled a little better to back in our camper is 42' and a few less trees
Aug 31, 2024 · Bonnie CalkinsReally nice campground on the Holcombe flowage near Chippewa Falls. Nice sites, some with docks. Reasonably priced, but everything you need is an extra cost. Shower, dock site was extra, wood (of course) so it ended up being the same amount as a state park in the end. Of course you have to stop at the Leinie Lodge for a flight.
Jan 11, 2020 · Splatt StudiosVery quiet campground, neighbors are far enough away but groups can use the trails to get to neighboring sites quickly. Biggest down side to this camp is firewood is too expensive for the amount of wood you get compared to other county parks, highly recommended to bring your own. Best sites are on the water!
Aug 12, 2024 · Joe AndersonNice campground. Some spots appear tight to get into with camper. Could remove a few trees & rocks-too many rocks in the sites.
