This place is absolutely magical! It was so much more than we expected it to be! I'm so so glad that we visited this place & we will definitely visit again very soon! If you've never been here before I highly recommend! I promise you will not be disappointed! Ok after I posted this review in somewhat of a hurry I went back & read it & I really just feel like there is so much more to be said about this place...it's just every little well thought out detail that makes this place so awesome! First off when you first arrive at this place you will see signs directing you on where to park. It's a huge gravel parking lot & there is a very short walk up an incline to where you pay to enter. It doesn't cost much at all to get in. For myself & 3 children 10 & under we paid a total of $42 to get in. From there we were picked up by a tractor pulling a trailer and we were transported to an area just down the way where we began to see Christmas lights twinkling along the path. There were warm blankets on the trailer for us to cover up with & stay toasty. After just a few minutes we had reached an area where there were lights all around & when we got off the trailer we were greeted by a man in a nice sequined red suit. He welcomed us & told us where to go next to get a nice warm cup of some of the best hot cocoa I had ever tasted. We were also able to purchase s'mores kits that we roasted over an open fire right next to a flowing stream. The fire was so warm & inviting. While we enjoyed our s'mores by the open fire we were greeted by Santa & Mrs. Clause. They sat with us & talked for a few & then we headed on over to the gift shop where there was a variety of items we could purchase like some festive Christmas sweaters & T-shirts etc. Then the fun really began as we ventured on up the trail where we saw several beautiful cabins that are available that you can rent to actually spend the night at! It was just a short walk up the trail past the cabins where we were absolutely amazed by what we saw. They are referred to as the "ice caves" but they were surprisingly comfortable because the temp this particular night was only 27°F outside but somehow inside the cave it felt more like 60° The view at the opening of the cave looking up from down inside was absolutely breathtaking!!! It was like nothing I had ever seen before! This is right near the place where David Crockett gave his first speech to the public! So much history to learn about this place ! If you've never been here before you do not want to miss out! Do yourself a favor & make time to take your family & visit this place! I know I sure loved everything about it & I definitely plan to come back again. Our next visit we plan to book a night & stay in the cabins & I can't wait! - Alana Jacobs

While the term "camping cabin" might suggest a rustic stay, The Bridges appears to offer comfortable lodging options within a captivating environment filled with natural wonders and special experiences.

The environment surrounding The Bridges is clearly a significant part of its appeal. Visitors are immediately impressed upon arrival, noting well-organized parking in a "huge gravel parking lot" followed by a short walk to the entrance. From there, the experience becomes unique with a tractor-pulled trailer transporting guests further into the property. This initial journey is made even more enchanting by the presence of "Christmas lights twinkling along the path" and warm blankets provided on the trailer for comfort. The destination after this short ride is an area illuminated with lights, setting a magical tone. A flowing stream and an open fire pit for roasting s'mores further enhance the inviting atmosphere. Beyond this initial welcoming area, a short walk up a trail leads to the rental cabins, seamlessly integrating the lodging with the natural beauty of the location. The highlight of the environment appears to be the "ice caves," which are described as surprisingly comfortable despite the cold outdoor temperatures, and offering a "breathtaking" view from the inside looking out. The proximity to a site where David Crockett gave his first public speech adds a layer of historical significance to the natural beauty of The Bridges.

The services and amenities at The Bridges seem designed to create a memorable and comfortable experience for guests. The provision of transportation via a tractor-pulled trailer is a unique service that adds to the charm and facilitates access to different parts of the property. The welcoming greeting by a costumed character (a man in a sequined red suit) and the offer of warm hot cocoa upon arrival indicate a focus on hospitality and creating a festive atmosphere, particularly during events like their Christmas lights display. The family-oriented environment is further emphasized by a reviewer stating it's a "Great place to take the kids!" with a "Family atmosphere!" The historical significance of the location, being near where David Crockett gave his first public speech, adds an educational and cultural dimension to a visit. The combination of natural wonders (ice caves, natural bridge), festive events (Christmas lights, Cowboy weekend potentially implied by one reviewer's experience at Whispering Oaks Retreat and Campground which might be nearby or related under the same management), comfortable cabin rentals, and a welcoming atmosphere makes The Bridges a multifaceted destination. The "little well thought out detail" mentioned in one review suggest a high level of care and attention in creating a memorable guest experience.
