The Grove Glamping Introduce
For local users seeking an elevated "camping near me" experience that blends the beauty of the outdoors with the comforts of upscale lodging, The Grove Glamping in Battle Lake, Minnesota, offers an exceptional getaway. Located at 23895 Stony Point Rd, Battle Lake, MN 56515, USA, The Grove Glamping provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature without sacrificing modern conveniences. As the name suggests, this is not traditional camping but rather "glamping" – a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping" – promising a comfortable and memorable outdoor retreat.
Based on glowing reviews from recent guests, The Grove Glamping appears to deliver on its promise of a delightful and relaxing experience. One couple who stayed in the Birch Tent in mid-June for two nights highly recommended the site. They particularly appreciated the slightly more secluded location of the Birch Tent within a small stand of trees, offering a sense of privacy and tranquility. The tent itself was well-equipped, featuring a small refrigerator to keep beverages and snacks cool, a fan to ensure comfort on warmer days, and a kettle for preparing hot beverages (though guests are advised to bring their own coffee for a French press). The sweet string lights both inside and outside the tent added a charming and cozy ambiance to their stay.
The thoughtful provision of both sunscreen and bug spray in the bathrooms (which were noted as being quite nice and new) highlights the attention to detail and the host's consideration for guest comfort. This small but significant amenity ensures that guests are prepared for the outdoor elements without having to worry about packing every single essential. Furthermore, the comfortable bed in the Birch Tent was a significant highlight for the reviewers, emphasizing that a good night's sleep is not compromised in this glamping setting.
The overall atmosphere at The Grove was described as "relaxing and enjoyable," suggesting a peaceful and welcoming environment perfect for unwinding. The availability of a fire pit, chairs, and a picnic table just outside each tent creates an ideal space for enjoying the outdoors, whether it's roasting marshmallows, sharing a meal, or simply relaxing by the fire in the evening. It was also mentioned that one bundle of firewood is typically provided, adding to the convenience for guests wanting to enjoy a campfire.
A significant feature of The Grove Glamping is its proximity to Glendalough State Park, located very nearby, across the road. This offers guests unparalleled access to the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the state park. One reviewer specifically mentioned taking advantage of the state park for daily adventures during their mother-daughter weekend in the Spruce tent. Glendalough State Park is known for its stunning natural lazy river with crystal clear, shallow water and inviting sandbars, perfect for leisurely exploration and relaxation. Guests can also rent SUPs (stand-up paddleboards) and kayaks from the Galloping Goose, conveniently located within the park with a self-pay system, providing easy access to water activities.
The Spruce tent, where the mother-daughter duo stayed, also impressed them with the surprisingly low number of mosquitoes, a significant bonus for an outdoor experience in Minnesota, especially during warmer months. The tent was also equipped with games, providing entertainment options for downtime. Cooking over an open fire was a highlight of their trip, suggesting that each glamping site is likely equipped with the necessary facilities for outdoor cooking, further enhancing the camping experience with a touch of rustic charm.
Beyond the natural attractions, The Grove Glamping is also conveniently located near the charming shops and restaurants in Battle Lake. The reviewers specifically recommended Stella’s for dinner and Granny’s Pantry for ice cream, offering local users the opportunity to explore the town and enjoy some local cuisine during their stay. This blend of natural beauty and access to local amenities makes The Grove Glamping an appealing option for a well-rounded "camping near me" experience.
The host, Heidi, received high praise from the guests, being described as "amazing" and creating a "beautiful get-away." This personal touch and dedication to guest satisfaction can significantly enhance the overall experience, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. The reviewer even noted that "even the most inexperienced camper can go Glamping!" highlighting the accessibility and comfort offered by The Grove Glamping, making it an ideal choice for those new to outdoor adventures or those who prefer a more luxurious camping style.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the reviews, the overwhelmingly positive feedback and the description of the amenities and location serve as a strong endorsement for The Grove Glamping. Local users seeking a unique and comfortable "camping near me" option that combines the beauty of nature with upscale amenities and easy access to Glendalough State Park should certainly consider booking a stay at The Grove Glamping. The Grove Glamping Reviews
My husband & I stayed at this lovely Glamping site in mid June for 2 nights & completely enjoyed ourselves. Everything was so nice - highly recommend!!! We reserved the Birch Tent which is slightly more secluded as it is in a little stand of trees. We made use of the small refrigerator, the fan, the kettle for french press (brought our own coffee) & the sweet string lights both inside & out. We appreciated that there was both sun screen & bug spray in the bathrooms (which are quite nice / new). We both found the bed to be very comfortable! The Grove was so relaxing & enjoyable. Next time we will for sure take advantage of the -very near by- state park. If you go, bring a gallon of water for use in your tent (again, we loved the french press). The fire pit, chairs & picnic table just outside the tent were all perfect - I think that one bundle of firewood is always provided. We did choose to dine in the nearby town & enjoyed everything we had there, too. Thank you, Heidi for creating such a beautiful get-away.
Jul 23, 2024 · Stine MylastnameisprivateHad a wonderful Mother/Daughter weekend in the Spruce tent! We were amazed at how little mosquitoes there were. Our trip highlights included cooking over an open fire, playing games provided in the tents and using Glendalough State Park across the road for daily adventures. The natural lazy river was absolutely amazing! Crystal clear water only a few feet deep. We also enjoyed stopping at a few of the sandbars! We rented SUP/kayaks from the Galloping Goose, conveniently located inside the park with self pay. Don’t forget to visit the cute shops in battle lake. We enjoyed Stella’s for dinner and Granny’s Pantry for some ice cream. Heidi was an amazing host and I can’t recommend this place enough to family and friends! Even the most inexperienced camper can go Glamping! Cant wait to do it again!!
Jul 12, 2024 · Jessica HinnenkampI had a peaceful, solo getaway at The Grove in August, and it was lovely! I biked across the road to Glendalough and around a 3 mile loop. I saw the sun setting on numerous lakes and multiple deer who watched me bike by. I read in my cozy bed by lamplight and all the other magical lights and decorations. Everything at The Grove was so pretty and comfortable and peaceful! I met friends at Zorbaz and brought leftover food to my fridge for the next day... little luxuries that make glamping so nice! The showers and bathrooms even smell nice with dried eucalyptus and lavender. I definitely recommend!
Feb 08, 2025 · Leah LehnerSpent 2 nights at Grove Glamping when it opened and now its a summer staple! A few times when friends, then an anniversary trip with my hubby. I’m used to the standard camping experience, so I felt spoiled by the beauty of the outdoors combined with a comfy bed, new bathrooms with a hot shower and happy hour in town at the end of the day. Heidi is a super helpful host, she grew up in the area, so she had some great adventure ideas. We brought paddleboards & floaties, LOVE floating down the “lazy river,” and recommend having bikes to get around also. Will definitely be back.
Feb 07, 2025 · Lindsay MagnusonSuch a great place to gather with friends for a special birthday! All of us were a little unsure about camping but glamping was a blast! Fully furnished tent complete with bedding, towel, dishes, refrigerator, games and so much more- giving us a great experience. The staff went above and beyond for our special birthday gal! Until next time! Make sure you check this place out…tubing down the river was full of laughs and. Memories also! Close by!
