Walnut Ridge Cabin Reviews
Driving up and seeing the cabin is the first impression I make on how it's going to look on the inside. What's the purpose of having rain gutters when you don't ever clean them out? That was the complete turn off for me as we we're pulling up. The cabin itself is cozy and quaint. The main bedroom had a huge king size bed but no tv in the bedroom. There was a recliner and a couch in the living room, but I never could get the recliner to recline. There was plenty of utensils and cooking essentials in the kitchen. I wanted to grill but the grill was not clean. There was a brand new bottle of propane that we didn't use because of the dirty grill.Plenty of towels in the bathroom and plenty of towels for the hot tub by the back door. The hot tub with the best part of cabin, it was big and clean. Now, I'm not too picky when it comes to dusting but the rafters and the ceiling fan in the living room were disgusting and caked with dust. All the essentials are there such as dishes, cookware, pans, pot, towels, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and some hand soap.I would recommend dusting, cleaning out the rain gutters, getting a new keypad for, the door..... oh my word......and cleaning the grill for the next guests. It was nice and quiet.
Oct 06, 2024 · Kimberly PrinceFirst time ever renting a cabin and staying in the broken bow area. For the amount we paid for the cabin, I feel it was not worth it. When we arrived at the cabin, the "cleanliness" of it was icky. The doorknob was so gross that you don't want to touch the keypad, the place had not been dusted due to the amount of dust in the vents and on the light fixtures and ceiling fans and beams. That is what I mean about it not being clean. These are things that need to be kept up with and small things like that tell me that the rest is just looked over. Also, they had roaches. I kid you not, after arriving and I started cooking a few hours after we arrived I was greeted with them on the counters and walls. The blinds were broken on 2 of the windows that you could not lift nor open them to view the outside. The doorknobs are installed backward. The list goes on. I'm not a picky person. However, for the amount people pay to stay in a cabin, you would expect a very clean kept up place. I get that it is furnished, which is great but it was not very clean. The list should be updated as to what they have in the cabin. I'm very glad that I brought about 80% of the items because I wasn't sure if they had them. They list some of it on the website, but it is just a little bit. The hand soap containers provided are ones bought from the store, and they for sure just refill them. The bottles are disgusting. I hope they keep it cleaner for the next people that rent it out. Also no dishwasher so bring a sponge to wash your dishes with. They have soap provided and a trash can.
Aug 07, 2023 · Angelina AlvarezSmall but has all the essentials. Great get away experience. 3 beds (2 in the loft) plus a pull out in the couch. WiFi fast and reliable enough to handle a couple teenagers.Kitchen has dishes and appliances. Plan to bring food or to drive back into the city for restaurants.Fire pit is there and you can buy wood. You'll need to scavenge for tinder, but there's plenty around.Hot tub was great. They supplird plenty of towels and there are more in cabinet above the water heater in the bathroom.Cell phone service in the area is unreliable at best. Download maps and check in instructions before you leave.
