Hidden Ponds RV Park Introduce
For local residents and those seeking RV accommodations in the Sulphur, Louisiana area, Hidden Ponds RV Park, located at 1201 Ravia Rd, Sulphur, LA 70665, USA, presents a location with both potential advantages and significant drawbacks based on recent customer feedback. When searching within the category of "RV parks near me," it's crucial to consider all aspects of a potential stay, and the reviews for Hidden Ponds RV Park paint a somewhat concerning picture alongside a few positive notes.
One of the primary advantages mentioned in the reviews is the park's location, particularly its proximity to refineries. For individuals working in the petrochemical industry in the Sulphur and Westlake areas, this could indeed be a significant selling point, offering a short commute to job sites. This geographical convenience might be a key factor for those seeking temporary or longer-term RV parking while employed in these industries.
However, the positive aspects seem to be overshadowed by serious complaints regarding the condition and management of the park, particularly concerning the cabin rentals. One detailed review strongly advises against staying at Hidden Ponds RV Park, citing a multitude of issues experienced during a cabin rental. This negative feedback warrants careful consideration for anyone contemplating a stay, especially in one of the park's cabins.
The most alarming issue raised is the inadequate cooling in the cabins. The reviewer reported that their cabin never cooled below 85 degrees Fahrenheit, even late at night, despite purchasing additional fans. Ultimately, they and their four children were forced to sleep in their car due to the unbearable heat inside the cabin. This not only indicates a significant lack of comfort but also raises concerns about the habitability and maintenance of the rental units.
Adding to this, the reviewer stated that the maintenance man confirmed the cabin was excessively hot and that the air conditioning units were insufficient for the size of the cabin. Despite this acknowledgment from park staff, the front desk allegedly responded dismissively, stating, "well you were the ones that wanted to rent the cabin." This lack of responsibility and empathy from the management is a serious red flag for potential guests.
The financial aspect of this negative experience is equally troubling. The reviewer reported being overcharged for the cabin, paying $791.20 instead of the quoted $600, which included a supposed $100 deposit plus an unexplained extra $91. The process for obtaining a refund was described as difficult and uncertain, requiring an email and taking several days, with no guarantee of receiving the money back. This raises significant concerns about the billing practices and customer service regarding financial transactions at Hidden Ponds RV Park.
Beyond the cooling and financial issues, the reviewer also noted "multiple rotten spots in the floors" and a problem with the shower water in the cabin. These details point to potential safety and hygiene concerns within the rental units, further detracting from the appeal of staying at Hidden Ponds RV Park.
In stark contrast to the negative experience with the cabin rental, another reviewer who "stayed here several times" reported a "good location close to food locations" and proximity to work. They also mentioned that the "rv lots concrete and quiet for day or night jobs" and that "laundry service for drop off" is available. This suggests that the experience for RVers staying in their own vehicles might differ significantly from those renting cabins.
The mention of concrete RV lots is a positive feature, as concrete pads are generally preferred for their stability and ease of leveling. The quiet environment is also a desirable attribute for many RVers, particularly those working night shifts who need to sleep during the day. The availability of a drop-off laundry service adds convenience for those staying longer term.
Considering the conflicting reviews, it appears that the experience at Hidden Ponds RV Park can vary greatly depending on the type of accommodation (cabin vs. RV lot) and potentially other factors. While the location near refineries and local amenities might be attractive to some, the serious issues reported with the cabin rental, including extreme heat, overcharging, and unsafe conditions, cannot be ignored.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it is crucial to weigh these contrasting experiences. If you are planning to stay in your own RV and value a location close to industrial areas and local conveniences, the concrete lots and quiet environment might be appealing. However, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about the condition of the RV lots and the availability and functionality of amenities like laundry facilities.
If you are considering renting a cabin at Hidden Ponds RV Park, the overwhelmingly negative review detailing uninhabitable conditions, financial discrepancies, and poor customer service should give you significant pause. It would be highly advisable to seek alternative accommodations unless the management can provide clear assurances and evidence of significant improvements to their rental units.
Given the severity of the negative feedback, any potential promotional information would be overshadowed by the concerns raised. It would be irresponsible to focus on any potential positives without thoroughly addressing the serious issues reported by a recent guest. Any local user considering Hidden Ponds RV Park should proceed with extreme caution, especially if considering a cabin rental, and should thoroughly investigate the current conditions and management practices before making a reservation.
To obtain further information or clarification, you can contact Hidden Ponds RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers: (337) 583-4709 or +1 337-583-4709. However, based on the reported experiences, it would be wise to approach with caution and seek detailed assurances regarding the specific type of accommodation you are interested in.
In conclusion, Hidden Ponds RV Park in Sulphur, Louisiana, presents a mixed picture for those searching for "RV parks near me." While its location near refineries and local amenities might be convenient for some, significant issues have been reported regarding the condition and management of cabin rentals, including extreme heat, overcharging, and unsafe conditions. RV lot users have reported a quieter environment and concrete pads. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and exercise caution, particularly if considering a cabin, before making a decision.

Hidden Ponds RV Park Reviews
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!As for the lactation, it’s very close to the refineries and that was a selling point for us.Now for the actual stay. The cabin never cooled off under 85 degrees, was very very hot. We bought fans, that didn’t help. Was still extremely hot even at 10pm in the night so We and our 4 kids slept in the car because it was still way to hot. Spoke to the front office and the maintenance man, who actually confirmed that it was blazing in our cabin and actually said that the units would not cool that big of a cabin enough to occupy. We were told by the front desk quote “well you were the ones that wanted to rent the cabin” BUT we thought of course it would cool off by that night but never did. We found a different place to stay and asked to just pay for the night and to please get a refund for the remaining amount. All to find out that we actually spent $791.20 on this said cabin instead of $600!!!!! So that’s an $100 deposit plus an extra $91 added. And that a email had to sent out before we could receive a refund and it would take days if we ever even got the money back!!!! Are you kidding me????? Not to even mention that there were multiple rotten spots in the floors and something wrong with the shower water. We work hard for our money and are honest people this is highway robbery and insanity. Now we out that money plus extra for the new rental we had to find to be able to stay for work.

Jan 13, 2025 · Matt PollockDO NOT STAY HERE! They busted my window out of my camper mowing the grass and denied it and wouldn’t even try help pay for any of it just came up with every excuse in the world and was very unprofessional. After that they didn’t mow around my camper anymore and just let the grass grow up. Finally got my window replaced and left halfway through the month and they wouldn’t refund me any of my money after I paid full month and they didn’t help pay for any of the window they busted out of my camper.
