Lamar R.V. Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lamar, Arkansas area, Lamar R.V. Park, located at 2051 E Main St, Lamar, AR 72846, USA, presents itself as a smaller option with some appealing features. Based on the available customer reviews, the park offers a quiet environment and reliable utilities, along with a convenient location near a gas station. However, it's important to note that the reviews also highlight significant concerns regarding the management and the condition of rental units, which potential RV residents should carefully consider.
One reviewer who spent two months at Lamar R.V. Park while waiting for their house to close had a positive experience with the park itself. They described it as a "great small Park, Quite!" This emphasis on the peaceful atmosphere could be a significant draw for travelers seeking a tranquil stop. The reviewer also noted that there were "Several sites open at all times," suggesting availability for those passing through or looking for a longer stay. Importantly, they reported "No problems with power, sewer or water" and confirmed that "the water is drinkable," indicating reliable essential utilities. The park's proximity to a gas station was also seen as a convenience for easily obtaining snacks and presumably fuel. This review paints a picture of a functional and quiet park with necessary amenities in good working order.
However, another reviewer's experience was markedly different and focused on a negative interaction with the management and the condition of a rental mobile home within the park. This reviewer noted that the park is "half mobile homes and half lots for campers," which is an important distinction for those specifically seeking RV sites. Initially, they were hopeful after a positive phone conversation with someone named Ross. However, upon arrival and meeting someone named Rob and viewing a mobile home they were considering renting, they were confronted with unsanitary conditions, including "dead cockroaches on the counter and glue traps full of them." Despite this clear evidence, Rob allegedly denied having a roach problem, dismissively claiming they’re 'easy to kill,' a statement the reviewer found contradictory. The reviewer also reported that Rob stated they "didn’t care if the unit stayed vacant for years" and was "extremely rude," allegedly judging the potential tenant based on past residents. This individual felt they were treated poorly and unfairly assumed to be a bad tenant without any valid reason.
The second reviewer strongly advises others to "go somewhere that values both their property and their guests" and recounts finding a much better campground nearby with more amenities (laundromat, showers, hiking trails, pool, boat rentals) for a lower price. They conclude that the only positive outcome of their negative experience at Lamar R.V. Park was that it led them to a far superior option. An edit to this review in response to the owner clarifies that the negative interaction had "NOTHING to do with verifying my employment," suggesting that the poor treatment was based on other, unspecified reasons.
The environment of Lamar R.V. Park appears to be generally quiet, as highlighted by one reviewer. The presence of both mobile homes and camper lots suggests a mixed community. Its location on East Main Street (Highway 64) provides accessibility, and the proximity to a gas station offers convenience for basic needs. However, the stark contrast in the two reviews indicates that the overall environment and experience can vary significantly depending on whether one is simply using an RV lot or interacting with the management regarding rental properties.
The services and features mentioned include the availability of power, sewer, and drinkable water at the RV lots. The park is described as small and quiet. Its location offers proximity to a gas station. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the maintenance and cleanliness of rental units within the park, as well as the professionalism and attitude of at least one member of the management team. Amenities typically expected at a campground, such as laundry facilities, showers, or recreational areas, are not mentioned in the positive review, and the negative review specifically notes finding a better campground with more such amenities elsewhere.
There is no explicit promotional information provided for Lamar R.V. Park in the given text. The positive review focuses on the functional aspects of the RV lots and the quiet atmosphere, while the negative review serves as a strong caution against renting property there due to management issues and poor maintenance of rental units. Therefore, potential RVers would need to weigh the reported quietness and reliable utilities against the serious concerns about management and the overall value compared to other options in the area.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Lamar, Arkansas, Lamar R.V. Park presents a mixed profile. The park appears to offer a quiet setting with functional RV hook-ups and a convenient location near a gas station. However, the strongly negative experience reported by one potential tenant regarding the management's rudeness and the poor condition of a rental unit cannot be ignored. RVers who are only looking for a lot for their own camper might have a satisfactory experience based on the positive review of the park's quietness and utilities. However, it would be prudent to inquire about the park's policies, amenities specifically for RVers, and to potentially seek more recent reviews to get a broader understanding of the current conditions and management practices.
In conclusion, Lamar R.V. Park offers a small and quiet option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in Lamar, AR, with reliable utilities and a convenient location. However, potential visitors should be aware of the serious concerns raised in one review regarding the management's professionalism and the condition of rental units within the park. RVers looking for a simple and quiet stop might find it adequate, but those seeking more amenities or who might need to interact with management beyond basic lot rental should proceed with caution and consider exploring other options in the area, as suggested by one of the reviewers who found a significantly better campground nearby for a lower price. Contacting Lamar R.V. Park directly at (479) 214-0885 or +1 479-214-0885 to inquire about current RV lot availability, amenities, and policies is recommended before making a decision.

They treated me poorly, assuming I’d be a bad tenant without reason.People should not be judged by others' actions. After this experience, I found a much better campground with a laundromat, showers, hiking trails, pool, boat rentals, and more – and for $200 less! If you want to be treated with respect, go somewhere that values both their property and their guests. The only good thing about this place is that their rudeness led me to a far better option. I’m grateful for that!Edit for Response to owner: It had NOTHING to do with verifying my employment. Why on earth would that be an issue for me I have a job and could have verified it with no issues.
Sep 12, 2024 · X æ C-89Stayed for a quick overnight. Host really responsive and video directions extremely helpful. No breed restrictions on dogs. Some permanent residents, some "off leash" dogs. But everyone was well behaved.
Nov 24, 2022 · Heather GordonNice basic no frills park that was perfect for an overnight. It’s very conveniently located just off of I-40. Make sure to watch the video provided to see how to navigate the entrance; it made it easy.Level gravel site. Everything was as expected. Owner is a good communicator, and the online pay was easy and quick. No complaints and would certainly stay here again for a quick overnight. One thing to note is the interstate is very close, so the traffic noise is pretty loud.
Nov 08, 2023 · Cindy SheetsBe careful making that turn into the gas station. There is a big hole as you turn into the gas station that took out my tire and rim. 25.00 for the over night stay. Nothing fancy about this park. $260 to replace rim & tire. It was my fault, but it seems like he would give some attention to that hole.
