Pleasant Grove RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Elgin, Texas area, Pleasant Grove RV Park, located at 568 Pleasant Grove Rd, Elgin, TX 78621, USA, offers a potentially quiet and community-focused environment. You can reach them at (512) 285-9335 or +1 512-285-9335 for inquiries about availability and services. Based on the limited online reviews, Pleasant Grove RV Park presents a mixed but generally positive picture for those seeking a less bustling RV park experience.
One of the frequently mentioned aspects of Pleasant Grove RV Park is its peaceful atmosphere. Multiple reviewers describe it as "quiet" and "very nice quiet place." This suggests that the park might be appealing to individuals seeking a more tranquil setting away from the potential noise of busier RV resorts. The serene environment could be particularly attractive to long-term residents or those looking for a relaxing getaway.
The presence of "beautiful" trees is another notable feature of the park's environment. Mature trees can provide shade, enhance the aesthetic appeal of the park, and contribute to a more natural setting. However, one reviewer also points out a potential concern associated with these trees, mentioning "large limbs hanging from them." This observation suggests a possible risk of falling limbs, particularly during strong winds, which could potentially impact parked RVs. While the reviewer noted the beauty of the trees, this potential hazard is a factor to consider for prospective residents, and it might be worth inquiring about the park's tree maintenance practices.
Pleasant Grove RV Park appears to accommodate a significant number of "permanent campers," as noted by one reviewer. The presence of long-term residents can often contribute to a stronger sense of community within an RV park. These residents may treat the park more like a neighborhood, fostering a friendly and supportive atmosphere. However, the same reviewer also mentions that "some have blue tarps on them," which could suggest that some of the permanent setups might be older or in need of repair. This is an aesthetic consideration and might also indicate varying levels of upkeep among the long-term sites.
A significant positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the park's dog-friendly policy, with one reviewer explicitly stating, "Dog friendly." This is an important consideration for RV travelers who bring their pets along, suggesting that Pleasant Grove RV Park welcomes furry companions. It would be beneficial to inquire about any specific rules or designated areas for pets within the park.
A notable feature that contributes to the sense of community at Pleasant Grove RV Park is the presence of a "community center or room." This communal space is described as a place "where you can gather and talk to your neighbors," fostering social interaction among residents. The reviewer's initial impression of this amenity was positive, describing it as a "neat place." A community center can serve as a hub for social events, gatherings, and simply a place for residents to connect, enhancing the overall living experience, especially for long-term stays.
In terms of services and features typically found in "RV parks near me," we can infer some potential offerings at Pleasant Grove RV Park, although specific details are limited in the provided reviews:
- RV Sites: As an RV park, Pleasant Grove likely offers individual sites for parking recreational vehicles. The size and layout of these sites can vary, and it would be important to inquire about the specific dimensions and any restrictions on the size or type of RVs accommodated.
- Hookups: Standard RV sites usually include essential utility hookups such as electrical power (various amperages), water for fresh supply, and sewer connections for waste disposal. Confirming the availability and type of hookups at each site is crucial.
- Restrooms and Showers: While not explicitly mentioned, most RV parks provide communal restroom and shower facilities for the convenience of their guests. The cleanliness and upkeep of these facilities are important factors to consider.
- Laundry Facilities: An on-site laundry room with washers and dryers is a common and valuable amenity, especially for longer stays. Its presence and condition at Pleasant Grove RV Park would be worth inquiring about.
- Trash Disposal: Proper waste management is a standard service at RV parks. Information on the location and procedures for trash disposal should be available.
- Wi-Fi Access: In today's connected world, Wi-Fi is often a desired amenity for RVers. Inquiring about the availability and cost (if any) of internet access is advisable.
The fact that one departing guest received a partial refund for leaving four days early suggests a degree of flexibility or fairness in the park's policies regarding early departures. This could be a positive indicator of the management's approach to customer service.
Given the information available, Pleasant Grove RV Park appears to offer a quiet, community-oriented setting that is also dog-friendly. The presence of mature trees adds to the ambiance, although potential risks associated with falling limbs should be considered. The community center provides a valuable space for social interaction among residents, particularly the seemingly significant number of long-term campers. However, the mention of some older setups with blue tarps suggests that the overall aesthetic and condition of individual sites might vary.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Pleasant Grove RV Park, prospective residents or visitors should:
- Contact the Park Directly: Call (512) 285-9335 or +1 512-285-9335 to inquire about site availability, rates, amenities, pet policies, tree maintenance, and the condition of the facilities.
- Ask About the Community Center: Get more details about its hours of operation, any scheduled events, and the general atmosphere it fosters.
- Inquire About Long-Term Stays: If considering a longer residency, ask about any specific policies or rates for extended stays and the typical profile of long-term residents.
- Request Information on Site Conditions: If possible, inquire about the general upkeep of the long-term sites and the overall aesthetic of the park.
- Visit the Park: A personal visit would allow potential residents to assess the quiet environment firsthand, observe the trees and their potential hazards, and get a feel for the community atmosphere and the condition of the facilities.
In conclusion, Pleasant Grove RV Park in Elgin, TX, offers a potentially appealing option for those seeking a quiet and dog-friendly "RV park near me" with a sense of community fostered by its community center and long-term residents. While the beautiful trees are a plus, the potential for falling limbs warrants consideration. The presence of some older, tarp-covered setups suggests that the visual appeal of individual sites may vary. By contacting the park directly and ideally visiting the location, prospective residents can determine if Pleasant Grove RV Park aligns with their specific needs and preferences for a peaceful and community-oriented RV living experience.

Pleasant Grove RV Park Reviews
This park has plenty of permanent campers, and some have blue tarps on them. The trees are beautiful but have large limbs hanging from them. It is quiet but it seems like it is one good wind from dropping limbs on campers at the campers expense. At least we got some of our rent back when we left (4days early from the end of the month)
Jun 23, 2024 · Carolyn VolkmerVery nice quiet place. Dog friendlyThere is a community center or room whatever you want to call it where you can gather and talk to your neighbors so far so good neat place
May 13, 2022 · Ryan SmithGrass is always green and cared for by Kathy. You will always see her riding around on her tractor. This is not a run down trailer park. I love it here.
May 02, 2023 · Kate HawkinsFor mid class people, you won't want to stay here. The bathrooms are pretty nasty and it was not what we expected cause the website makes it look beautiful, but really it's a trailer park. Which is fine, but it's not your usual beautiful rv park. The lady was nice, but this place has broken down trailers everywhere
Nov 04, 2016 · jennifer smithI want to thank Diane for making room for me on such short notice and with a full RV Park. I had driven a long way and my diabetes required me to get some rest and some home cooked food. It was easy to find, close to Elgin, and all the stores you would find in a big city. It was very quiet and even with my 40 foot trailer, it was a breeze to park and pull out. I had no problems hooking up for 50 amp service and clean water. The sewer connection was close at hand and the neighbors were more than ready to lend a hand. There are washer and dryer facilities and the only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the lack of internet service.Call ahead. It seems that it is booked a great deal of the time and it gets worse around the time when the Sherwood Forest Faire is in full swing (Feb- March). Tell Diane I sent you!!!!
