This particular location in Summerdale benefits from its proximity to the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast, offering a blend of peaceful countryside and easy access to coastal attractions.
Based on recent feedback from fellow RVers, Rainbow Plantation boasts several appealing features. One recurring highlight is the spaciousness of the RV sites. Guests have noted that the sites are "roomy" and the streets within the park are "wide," making navigation and maneuvering even for larger rigs, such as 45-foot tag axle RVs, a breeze. The ease of "back in" for all spots is also a significant advantage, simplifying the setup process upon arrival.
Another aspect consistently praised in the reviews is the helpful and friendly nature of the staff. A positive and welcoming staff can significantly enhance the overall experience of any stay, and it appears that Rainbow Plantation excels in this area. Knowing that assistance is readily available and provided with a smile adds to the peace of mind of travelers.
For those planning longer stays, Rainbow Plantation appears to be a suitable choice. One reviewer mentioned spending two weeks at the park before continuing their journey north, indicating that the park offers the comfort and amenities needed for an extended visit. The desire to stay again further underscores the positive impression left on its guests.
However, it's important to present a balanced perspective based on all available information. One recent review pointed out that some of the park's facilities, specifically the clubhouse and the pool, were closed at the time of their stay. The reviewer expressed disappointment, noting that these amenities are often key attractions for those choosing to stay at RV parks. They also mentioned an alternative arrangement for games under a carport, which they found less appealing compared to a fully operational clubhouse. It is advisable for prospective guests to inquire about the current status of all amenities when making their reservations to ensure they align with their expectations.
Despite the temporary closure of certain facilities mentioned in one review, the core offerings of Rainbow Plantation, such as clean grounds, wide and easily accessible sites, and friendly staff, remain strong points. The park's location in Summerdale also provides a gateway to the numerous attractions and activities available along the Alabama Gulf Coast. From pristine beaches and fishing piers to nature trails and historical sites, the region offers something for every interest.
For those looking for "RV parks near me" that prioritize space and ease of access, Rainbow Plantation - Escapees RV Parks in Summerdale stands out. The positive feedback regarding site size and park cleanliness suggests a well-maintained environment. Escapees RV Clubs are known for their supportive and engaging environments, often hosting events and activities that allow travelers to connect. While specific community-related offerings at this particular park were not detailed in the provided reviews, the affiliation with Escapees suggests a welcoming atmosphere for those seeking more than just a place to park their RV.
In summary, Rainbow Plantation - Escapees RV Parks in Summerdale, Alabama, offers a clean and well-maintained environment with spacious and easily accessible RV sites. Rainbow Plantation - Escapees RV Parks Reviews
Nice roomy sites but the clubhouse is closed and so is the pool. They need to get it together and open it up. This is why people stay at these parks. They do have a carport that they are doing games under which is just dumb with a really nice clubhouse closed. Open up the clubhouse!
Jan 29, 2025 · Joanette BrackettVery clean park. Wide streets and easy back in for all of the spots. Staff is very nice. We spent 2 weeks here before heading north. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I drive a 45 foot tag axle. No issues
Mar 16, 2025 · Kirk BarryBeautiful park. The people are super nice, but the clubhouse is permanently closed. Thatputs a big damper on social activities. And getting to know the other campers and share stories. Really the main reason to stay at such parks. I was hoping to stay longer, but now it just feels isolating. I hope they fix whatever issues they are having to make a more inclusive park experience.
Jan 18, 2025 · Mark RafterWhat a beautiful park! We only stayed here for a night but will be back. Super quiet. Hubby said bath house was clean & great water pressure. My only downside was the amount of ants around. Whenever we came outside they would instantly start crawling up our shoes & legs 😂 will probably request a different spot next time.
Apr 17, 2023 · The Traveling StippelsPool closed, clubhouse closed, no WiFi, absolutely no activities. Some grandstanding by the management apparently.Don’t know why the owners allow this.Lots are spacious, nice dog park, but no receptacles for dog poop.
