Silver Creek Mobile Estates Introduce
Silver Creek Mobile Estates, located at 1520 E Capitol Expy, San Jose, CA 95121, USA, offers a mobile home living environment in a potentially accessible area of San Jose. For local users exploring housing options, including those who might be searching under the category of "RV parks near me," understanding the specifics of a mobile home park like Silver Creek Mobile Estates is crucial. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive and objective overview based on the available information, allowing prospective residents to weigh the potential benefits and drawbacks.
Situated on East Capitol Expressway, Silver Creek Mobile Estates benefits from its location within San Jose, a major hub in Silicon Valley. This location likely offers proximity to various amenities, including shopping centers, restaurants, and transportation routes. However, specific details about the immediate neighborhood environment, such as traffic patterns and the nature of surrounding businesses, would require further local investigation. The accessibility of public transportation from the park's location is also a factor potential residents might want to explore.
Based on the limited review information, we can glean some insights into the potential environment and features of Silver Creek Mobile Estates. One reviewer describes their street as "very quiet," which could be a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful living environment within a bustling city. This suggests that at least some areas within the park offer a sense of tranquility. However, this positive aspect is contrasted by a significant concern raised by another reviewer regarding the park's towing policies.
The negative review highlights a partnership with a "predatory towing service," alleging that vehicles parked even slightly over a red line are towed rapidly and without notice, incurring a substantial $500 cost for visitors. This policy, if accurately represented, could be a major deterrent for potential residents who frequently have visitors. The reviewer also mentions that parking around the park is permit-only, but obtaining a permit outside of office hours is difficult. This paints a picture of potentially strict and inconvenient parking regulations that could negatively impact both residents and their guests.
The second review offers a more balanced perspective from someone who has lived in the park for almost a year. They reiterate the quiet atmosphere of their street and express overall satisfaction with living there, specifically mentioning no complaints about their experience. They do note the absence of a playground for children as a желаемый addition. Regarding a comment about water and electricity shutdowns (mentioned in the negative review but not directly in the provided text), this reviewer clarifies that these were due to PG&E work and that residents were informed about them. This suggests that while utility disruptions may occur, they might be related to external factors and that the management communicates these issues to residents.
Given these contrasting viewpoints, it is essential for prospective residents to delve deeper into the policies and living conditions at Silver Creek Mobile Estates. Key areas of inquiry should include:
- Towing Policies: Obtain detailed information about parking regulations, designated parking areas for residents and visitors, the process for obtaining visitor permits (including availability outside office hours), and the circumstances under which vehicles are towed. Understanding the towing service's reputation and any recourse available to residents or visitors who feel they have been unfairly towed is also crucial.
- Parking Availability: Assess the availability of parking spaces for residents and the ease of access to these spaces. Inquire about any additional fees associated with parking or permits.
- Community Environment: While one reviewer found their street quiet, it would be beneficial to get a broader sense of the overall community atmosphere. Are there community events? What is the demographic of the residents? How active is the management in fostering a positive environment?
- Amenities: The second review mentions a pool and clubhouse, but the reviewer did not use them. Prospective residents should inquire about the availability, condition, operating hours, and any associated fees for these amenities. The absence of a playground, as noted by one reviewer, might be a consideration for families with young children.
- Management Responsiveness: The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of understanding the management's responsiveness to resident concerns and their communication practices regarding important issues like utility work.
- Lot Rental Fees and Rules: As with any mobile home park, it is crucial to understand the monthly lot rental fees, what services are included (water, sewer, garbage), and any rules and regulations governing residency.
- Safety and Security: Inquire about any security measures in place within the park to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
For individuals searching under the category of "RV parks near me," Silver Creek Mobile Estates, being a mobile home park, may not offer the typical short-term or transient accommodations usually associated with RV parks. Mobile home parks primarily cater to long-term residents who own or rent mobile homes on leased land within the community. However, it is possible that some mobile home parks might have limited space for RVs, either for short-term stays or on a longer-term basis. Therefore, if you are specifically looking for an RV park, it is recommended to contact Silver Creek Mobile Estates directly at the provided phone numbers, (408) 274-5455 or +1 408-274-5455, to inquire about their policies on accommodating RVs. You should ask about:
- Whether they have designated RV sites.
- The length of stay permitted for RVs.
- The availability of necessary hookups for RVs (water, electricity, sewer).
- The rates and any additional fees for RV stays.
- Any specific rules or regulations applicable to RV residents.
Without direct confirmation from the management, it should not be assumed that Silver Creek Mobile Estates functions as a traditional RV park catering to the needs of recreational vehicle travelers.
In conclusion, Silver Creek Mobile Estates offers a mobile home living option in San Jose, with one resident highlighting the quiet atmosphere of their street. However, the serious concerns raised by another reviewer regarding predatory towing practices and parking regulations warrant careful consideration by prospective residents. The availability and quality of amenities like the pool and clubhouse, as well as the responsiveness of the management, are also important factors to investigate. For those searching under "RV parks near me," it is crucial to directly contact Silver Creek Mobile Estates to determine if they accommodate RVs and under what terms. By thoroughly researching and asking pertinent questions, potential residents can make a well-informed decision about whether Silver Creek Mobile Estates is the right fit for their housing needs.

Silver Creek Mobile Estates Reviews
They partner with a predatory towing service. If a car is even slightly over a red line you'll get towed in minutes with absolutely no notice. Your visitor will say goodbye $500! Spots around the park are permit parking only...but good luck getting a permit past office open hours. I grew up here but this just soured my whole experience with this area. You are knowingly doing this to low-income folks, you know there's a special place for this. Think twice about moving to this mobile home park! Mobile homes in general aren't good investments anyway!
Mar 30, 2025 · yo -We have been here almost about a year. It’s very quite (well out street is anyway) which I Love! Only thing I wish they had a playground for kids but other than that it’s been good I don’t use the pool or the club house so don’t have an opinion on that . As for the comment about water and electricity being shut off it’s because pg&e did some major work that took couple months to finish so at times( I think was only couple times) they had to turn it off and they would let u know about it. So far no complaints about living here.
Feb 07, 2018 · Mayraaa 5This place is terrible. Sometimes there's electricity and water shutdown. The swimming pool does not get clean too often. The club house has no cable TV. This place makes hundreds of thousands of dollars. you would think they care about the residents. But they do not. I would not want to live here. The manager Gwen is a dumb person
