Totem Pole Trailer Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Talent, Oregon area? Consider Totem Pole Trailer Park, located at 812 S Pacific Hwy UNIT 6, Talent, OR 97540, USA. This mobile home park has undergone significant changes since the devastating 2020 fires, fostering a new sense of community and offering a welcoming environment for both long-term residents and potentially RV travelers seeking a unique and supportive setting.
One recent review highlights the transformative impact of the post-2020 era on Totem Pole Trailer Park. The reviewer, who initially did not choose to live there by preference due to circumstances following the fires and new zoning laws in Medford and Phoenix, now expresses happiness with their situation. They describe the park as feeling "like a brand new park" with "new tenants" and an atmosphere of "honesty." This suggests a significant positive shift in the overall environment and community spirit within Totem Pole Trailer Park.
The reviewer emphasizes the welcoming and outgoing nature of the current community. This is a crucial aspect for anyone looking for "RV parks near me" that offer more than just a place to park. A strong sense of community can greatly enhance the living experience, providing opportunities for social interaction and mutual support. The positive sentiment expressed suggests that Totem Pole Trailer Park has successfully cultivated such an environment in its recent evolution.
The review also touches upon the unique circumstances that led some individuals to Totem Pole Trailer Park. Following the 2020 fires, new zoning laws in Medford and Phoenix restricted the placement of FEMA trailers within city limits. This led some individuals, who had purchased these trailers, to seek alternative locations, including Talent. The reviewer notes that this change of location, initially perceived as a burden, has turned out to be a positive experience. They specifically thank the town of Talent for being a "warm and accepting community," highlighting the therapeutic benefit of being part of a community that has chosen to "rise and grow together" since the fires.
While the recent review paints a positive picture of the current atmosphere at Totem Pole Trailer Park, another review offers a glimpse into its past. This review, from someone who lived there in the late 1990s, describes a very different environment. They recall a park that was "drug infested" with "hillbilly imbred with alcoholics everywhere." However, they also mention that it was "fun growing up" there and that they have "so much memories." This stark contrast underscores the significant transformation the park appears to have undergone in the intervening years.
The older review also inquires about whether "Jack King OFF" still manages the property, recalling him as a "good landlord." This suggests a history of potentially positive management at some point, although the significant difference in the described environment indicates changes in management or the overall demographic of the park over time. It is important to note that this information is dated and may not reflect the current management situation.
Considering the available information, Totem Pole Trailer Park appears to be a mobile home and potentially RV park that has experienced a notable positive transformation in recent years, particularly following the 2020 fires. The current atmosphere is described as welcoming and community-oriented, a significant shift from the potentially challenging environment depicted in the older review.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Talent, Oregon, Totem Pole Trailer Park offers the potential for a supportive and community-focused experience. The park's location in Talent provides access to the amenities of a smaller town while still being within reasonable proximity to larger centers like Medford and Phoenix. While specific services and features for RV travelers, such as hookups, laundry facilities, or pet areas, are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, the emphasis on a welcoming community suggests a potentially positive and accommodating environment for those seeking a longer-term RV stay within a mobile home park setting.
It is important for prospective visitors to inquire directly about the specific amenities and services available for RVs at Totem Pole Trailer Park. Given the limited information regarding RV-specific features, contacting the park directly would be the best way to ascertain if it meets your individual needs. You can inquire about the availability of hookups (water, electricity, sewer), laundry facilities, waste disposal, and any other services that are important for your RV living experience.
Furthermore, given the contrasting reviews, it would be beneficial to get a sense of the current management and the overall condition of the park. While the recent review is overwhelmingly positive about the community atmosphere, understanding the practical aspects of staying there as an RV traveler is crucial.

Totem Pole Trailer Park Reviews
Since the 20fire20, this park has changed, with new tenants and honesty this feels like a brand new park. We did not move here at first by choice, but we are now happy we did. With the new zoning laws put in place by Phoenix and medford following the 20fìre20, we were not allowed to move our fema trailer within medford or Phoenix city limits. We were not told this until after the purchase was final, so we ended up here in talent. There is a different vibe here now. The community is very welcoming and outgoing. Sometimes change can be a burden. This time, our change from the formally known Phoenix to Talent seems to be a positive one. Thanks to Talent for being a warm and accepting community, it has been very therapeutic to be a part of a community that chose to rise and grow together since the 20fire20.
Sep 21, 2024 · Tammy EacretDoes Jack King OFF still run this place. I lived there in the late 1990s maybe 97. He was a good landlord it was probably one of the most drug infested hillbilly imbred with alcoholics everywhere you looked but it was fun growing up. So much memories.
