Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground Introduce
For those searching for 'RV Parks Near Me' and dreaming of a quintessential coastal getaway on the Mid-Atlantic, Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground at 37291 Lighthouse Rd, Selbyville, DE 19975, USA, stands out as a highly recommended destination. This expansive and well-appointed RV park offers a perfect blend of serene bayfront beauty, extensive amenities, and convenient access to the vibrant attractions of both Delaware and Maryland beaches. Praised by visitors for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and family-friendly atmosphere, Treasure Beach provides a memorable and comfortable experience for both daily and seasonal campers.
Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground is idyllically situated on over 100 acres along the shores of Assawoman Bay, offering a truly picturesque environment. This prime waterfront location provides many sites with "a beautiful view and great location" directly on the bay, as one happy camper noted. The park's setting means campers can enjoy stunning sunsets over the water and direct access to the bay for various water activities. The environment is well-maintained, with "nicely manicured grassy areas" around the sites, contributing to an overall clean and appealing aesthetic. While the park is vast, some areas offer more shade than others, depending on the site type and specific location within the over 1,000 campsites available.
The strategic location of Treasure Beach is a significant environmental asset. It is "one mile west of Fenwick Island, Delaware," providing easy access to the pristine, tax-free beaches of Delaware, and just a "few minutes drive from Ocean City, Maryland." This means campers can experience the quiet solitude of the bay and the more active atmosphere of the Atlantic coastline. While high winds can occasionally be a factor in coastal areas, as one reviewer experienced ("the winds which were extremely high that weekend"), the overall consensus is that the natural beauty of the bay and proximity to the ocean make for a delightful coastal environment.
Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground prides itself on offering a wide array of services designed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests. The park features a significant number of full hookup RV sites (over 1,000 in total, including 812 seasonal and 165 daily sites), providing water, electric (30-amp and 50-amp), sewer, and cable TV connections. Many sites boast "new hook ups" and "new cement pads," along with a fire pit and an additional parking spot for a car or golf cart, indicating a commitment to modern facilities and convenience. The park also offers cabin rentals for those without an RV, providing fully equipped accommodations.
Cleanliness is a recurring theme in visitor reviews, with multiple campers praising the upkeep. One review highlighted, "It was extremely clean and well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean." This attention to hygiene in common facilities like bathhouses is a significant draw. The staff consistently receives high marks for being "very pleasant and helpful," "friendly and really accommodating," which greatly enhances the overall guest experience. The presence of a "good General Store that has the necessities and more" adds convenience for campers who may need to pick up supplies, groceries, or camping essentials.
Other notable services include two swimming pools (with some areas designed for kids, like a splash pad), a fishing pier for crabbing and fishing, and a boat launch for easy access to the bay. There are also laundry facilities on-site, propane gas sales, and Wi-Fi access in common areas, including the Activity Center, Pool, Front Office, Store/Laundromat, Crabbing Pier, and Beach/Band area. The park is pet-friendly, though specific restrictions may apply, and golf cart rentals are available for convenient travel around the large property. With 24-hour staff coverage and security, guests can feel safe and supported during their stay.
Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground is packed with features that cater to families and individuals alike, making it a vibrant hub for outdoor recreation. Its central feature is its direct bayfront access, allowing for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing in the tranquil waters of Assawoman Bay. The "fishing pier" and "boat launch" are popular spots for anglers and boaters. For those seeking active pursuits on land, the park offers a playground, a pavilion, basketball courts, cornhole, and a "Jumping Pillow" or bounce house, which are major hits with children. The resort also boasts a beachfront stage that hosts live entertainment, adding a lively atmosphere to evenings.
The park is a "family atmosphere because families live there, as well," blending transient visitors with seasonal residents, which often fosters a sense of community. Planned activities are frequently organized, especially during peak season, to keep guests engaged and entertained. Beyond the immediate park, the proximity to Fenwick Island means access to tax-free shopping, restaurants, and uncrowded beaches, while Ocean City, Maryland, offers its famous boardwalk, amusement rides, and lively nightlife. The campground's location provides a convenient base for exploring both the serene natural beauty of the Delaware coast and the vibrant attractions of its neighboring Maryland beach town. Some sites are uniquely designed, such as "GROUP Pull-Thru" sites with common areas and custom fire pits, ideal for multiple families or friends traveling together.

Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground Reviews
My husband and I joined friends opening day at the Treasury Beach RV Park. We had a nice ferry ride in our motor home from Cape May, NJ to Lewes DE and the RV Park is about a 28 mile ride. The ride was nice and easy, access to the park was great, and check in went smoothly. We had a pull-in spot on the bay with a beautiful view and great location. The hook ups are new, the cement pads are new each having a fire pit and nicely manicured grassy areas, and an additional parking spot for a car/golf cart. There is a playground, a pavilion, bathhouse, pool, and a good General Store that has the necessities and more. There is a family atmosphere because families live there, as well. The employees were all very pleasant and helpful. However, the potential pitfall that we encounter was the winds which were extremely high that weekend. In spite of the high winds, we had a nice time.
May 06, 2025 · Joanne GoffTreasure Beach Campground is definitely one of the nicer campgrounds we’ve been too. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean. The staff was friendly and really accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much. We are looking forward to camping there again in the future. I highly recommend this campground.
Oct 11, 2024 · Sandy StrobleMy husband and I took our 2 year old son here over the summer to stay for a long Labor Day weekend. Upon entering our cabin, we found that the a/c unit contained mold, which then prevented us from getting settled in. Several hours later, the HVAC technician said he believed it was not mold (even though it was black and fuzzy) and the unit could just be wiped down, which he did. By Saturday, my 2 year old son was coughing and sneezing consistently, and my husband and I had to go out several times to buy medicine for him. We wound up leaving late Saturday night because his coughing was so bad he wasn’t sleeping. The cabin was dirty and the playground was littered with trash. To say we were unhappy with our stay would be an understatement. After reaching out to “management” we were given a $100 refund (paid $1300 to stay for 3 nights). Several days after leaving, I reached out to management explaining our situation. I was told “corporate” would have to reach out to us and it’s been over a month and I have yet to hear anything. The location was great and very close to the beach, unfortunately we will not be staying here again.
Oct 19, 2024 · Ashley CullumBeautiful, clean park with fantastic owners! We were running from the FL hurricanes and they treated us so kind, we are already planning a real vacation to return and stay for longer. Thanks again for your great service
Oct 14, 2024 · edward brionesWe enjoy going to this campground. Its convenient location makes it an ideal spot for a family getaway. Our children absolutely love the bounce pillow, which provides endless entertainment. There were a lot of unsupervised kids, most were good, but some kiddos, not so much. However, there are a few aspects that we found less appealing. Some of the parking pads are covered with tiny rocks, which tend to get everywhere and can scratch surfaces. Additionally, we found the presence of golf carts displaying profanity-laden political flags to be quite off-putting. While we respect the right to freedom of speech, we believe that the use of the f-word is unnecessary in such a family-friendly environment. On a positive note, the campground is generally very family-friendly, and it's evident that everyone is mindful of the safety of the little ones running around. Overall, we have a good time here and appreciate the efforts to create a fun and safe atmosphere for families.
