Windswept RV Park Introduce
For local users exploring "RV parks near me" in the Freeport, Texas area, Windswept RV Park, located at 105 Burch Cir, Freeport, TX 77541, USA, presents itself as a potentially peaceful option at a certain price point. However, it is crucial for prospective guests to consider all aspects of the park, including reported issues with management and amenities, based on the available customer reviews. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Windswept RV Park, addressing its environment, services, features, and any promotional implications derived from the feedback.
Environment and Location:
One reviewer describes Windswept RV Park as a "peaceful place for price," suggesting that the environment offers a degree of tranquility that may be appealing to some travelers. The specific details of the park's layout, such as the spacing between sites, the presence of trees or shade, or the overall aesthetic, are not elaborated upon in the provided reviews. However, the emphasis on peace implies a relatively quiet setting, which can be a significant draw for those seeking a respite during their travels.
The location in Freeport, Texas, places the park within a coastal community, potentially offering access to nearby attractions such as beaches, fishing spots, and local businesses. However, the reviews do not provide specific information about the park's proximity to these amenities.
Services and Amenities:
One of the key services mentioned in the reviews is the availability of Wi-Fi. However, the feedback on this amenity is negative, with one guest stating that the "wifi not that great." This is an important consideration for travelers who rely on internet connectivity for work, communication, or entertainment. The reviewer also mentioned attempting to resolve the Wi-Fi issues with the management for an extended period (1 1/2 months) without success, indicating a potential lack of responsiveness or inability to address this particular service concern effectively.
Other standard RV park amenities, such as laundry facilities or shower houses, are not explicitly mentioned in the positive context of the reviews. One review does mention a "laundry building" with "2 apartments attached," but this is in the context of a negative experience related to a rental unit and does not confirm the availability or quality of laundry services for RV guests.
Features and Management:
The management of Windswept RV Park appears to be a significant point of contention based on the provided reviews. One reviewer found the "Management not so friendly," which could impact the overall experience and comfort of guests. Interactions with park staff can often shape a visitor's perception of a facility, and a lack of friendliness can be a deterrent.
Another review offers a more nuanced perspective on the management, stating that "The lady manager at the site is very sweet." This suggests that there may be different individuals within the management team, with varying levels of guest interaction and perceived demeanor. However, this same reviewer had a severely negative experience with "the owner, or whatever he is," describing him as a "complete scumbag" who was "very rude" and used aggressive language over the phone when confronted about the condition of a rental unit (an apartment attached to the laundry building). This paints a concerning picture of at least one individual in a position of authority at the park.
Furthermore, the first reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the park's policies regarding early departure, stating, "No credit for days left, plan on not getting deposit back." This lack of flexibility regarding refunds or credits for unused days could be a financial disadvantage for guests who may need to leave earlier than planned.
Promotional Implications:
Based on the customer reviews, it is challenging to derive positive promotional information for Windswept RV Park beyond its potential for being a "peaceful place for price." However, prospective guests must weigh this against the reported negative experiences with management friendliness, the unreliability of the Wi-Fi, and potentially inflexible policies regarding refunds and deposits. The stark contrast in the perception of different members of the management team also adds an element of uncertainty for potential visitors.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of these reported issues and may want to seek further information or recent feedback before making a decision to stay at Windswept RV Park.

Windswept RV Park Reviews
Management not so friendly, wifi not that great but peaceful place for price. Tried resolving wifi issues for 1 1/2 months with management to no avail, last month staying here and not returning for turnaround. No credit for days left, plan on not getting deposit back,
Jul 22, 2024 · Roland HernandezI would rate zero stars if I could... The lady manager at the site is very sweet, but that's the only nice thing I can say. The owner, or whatever he is, is a complete scumbag and gets very rude and talks like a real big man over the phone when I told him the room he tried to rent me is filthy and infested with bugs. There are 2 apartments attached to the laundry building. I only wish I could meet him in person so we could "talk' about our differences.
Apr 17, 2018 · walter duckworthNice place for the money. Plenty of room, very liberal on being strict. You have a little more freedom here than other places. Don’t move here for the WI-FI, I didn’t have good luck with it, but again, for the price, can’t complain. Charolette is a very awesome manager. Overall good experience for the four months I lived there.
Apr 11, 2022 · Chadd BondI've lived here for 11 months and don't ever want to leave. Charlotte the manager is the best person to be here. She keeps the park clean and doesn't allow any bad things to go on here. I've stayed by myself and have never been scared because she is here. She is a wonderful person I don't care what anyone else says. She'll bend over backwards to help people. I love her and her family and it's quiet and safe nothing to worry about at all. If she was to leave so would I otherwise this is our permanent spot. We have quiet time and everyone respects that. I love Charlotte with all my heart and it's always clean and she's always on the go doing stuff to make the park safe at all times.
Nov 30, 2017 · Patricia HartRude management/poor customer service in pool hall/laundry room. Laundry area is dusty/dirty. Machines do not adequately dry your load after adding additional money and time to dryer clothes were still wet and smelled worse than they did prior to wash. Upon asking to be refunded only the fee to dry, ($2.00 × 2 loads) - as my wife then had to load wet laundry into her car and drive it to another laundry mat - manager proceeded to tell us that some machines are not working properly (despite the lack of 'out of order' signs posted anywhere within the facility) as well as denied our refund. The most disturbing aspect of our entire experience however, was the said managers negative, vindictive, down right nasty demeanor. We were threatened to be escorted off the property, a disproportionate response to our polite REASONABLE request of refund.
