Atlanta Race track Camping Introduce
For local residents seeking an unconventional "camping near me" experience in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Atlanta Race Track Camping, located at 75 Turnipseed Rd, Hampton, GA 30228, offers a unique opportunity. Reachable by phone at (678) 640-9000 or mobile at +1 678-640-9000, this campground provides a camping experience with the added excitement of being situated at a race track, along with special events that can enhance your stay.
Based on the limited customer reviews available, the atmosphere at Atlanta Race Track Camping appears to be a significant draw. One reviewer mentioned having a "great time camping at the race track," emphasizing that "everyone was friendly and courteous and helpful." This positive feedback suggests a welcoming and supportive environment for campers, which can greatly contribute to an enjoyable outdoor experience. For local users looking for a friendly community vibe during their camping trip, this aspect of Atlanta Race Track Camping could be appealing.
A notable feature highlighted in the reviews is the "Cabin Fever laser show," described as "great night entertainment for the whole family." This suggests that Atlanta Race Track Camping offers more than just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it provides entertainment and activities that can make your camping trip more memorable. The laser show, lasting approximately 30 minutes, seems to be a key attraction, offering a unique form of evening entertainment for campers of all ages.
For those planning to attend the laser show, the review provides several helpful tips. It is recommended to bring chairs and blankets for comfortable viewing, as well as flashlights for adults and glow sticks for children to enhance the experience. Importantly, the review notes that there are "NO food vendors" at the laser show area, so attendees should plan to eat beforehand or bring their own fast food, snacks, or food to grill. Arriving at least one hour before the show is advised to allow ample time for parking and setting up viewing spots. The use of a fog machine to enhance the light show is also mentioned, which is useful information for those who might be sensitive to fog or prefer to park farther away from the screens and machines at the rear to minimize exposure.
While the reviews provide insights into the social atmosphere and a specific entertainment offering, detailed information about the campground's environment, standard services, and other features is somewhat limited. We can infer that being located at a race track, the immediate surroundings might include open areas and the infrastructure associated with the racing facility. However, details about natural features like trees, water bodies, or hiking trails are not provided. Local users who prioritize a specific type of natural environment for their camping might need to seek additional information about the grounds themselves.
In terms of services, the mention of parking directions provided upon arrival suggests some level of organization and staff assistance. However, information about essential camping services such as restroom and shower facilities, water and electrical hookups for RVs, picnic tables, fire pits, or laundry facilities is not available in the provided reviews. Local users with specific needs regarding these amenities would need to inquire directly with the campground.
Similarly, details about the features of Atlanta Race Track Camping are scarce. We do not know the types of campsites available (e.g., RV sites with full hookups, primitive tent sites), the size and layout of the camping areas, or whether pets are allowed (though the friendly atmosphere might suggest a pet-friendly environment). Information regarding any other recreational facilities or activities offered within the campground, besides the laser show, is also missing.
Regarding promotional information, the reviews do not mention any specific discounts, special rates, or packages. The laser show itself could be considered a promotional feature, attracting campers with a unique entertainment offering. Local users interested in any deals or seasonal promotions would need to contact Atlanta Race Track Camping directly using the provided phone numbers.
In conclusion, Atlanta Race Track Camping offers a unique "camping near me" experience for local users, primarily due to its location at a race track and the availability of special events like the Cabin Fever laser show. The friendly and helpful atmosphere reported by a camper suggests a positive social environment. However, detailed information about the campground's environment, standard camping services, and features is limited in the provided reviews. Local users considering this campground should appreciate the potential for a memorable stay with unique entertainment but may need to seek additional information about the essential camping amenities and the nature of the camping grounds themselves to ensure it meets their specific needs and preferences.

Atlanta Race track Camping Reviews
The Cabin Fever laser show was great night entertainment for the whole family. Show is about 30 min long. Bring chairs, blankets, flashlights for adults, glow sticks for the kids. There are NO food vendors so eat before or bring fast food/snacks or food & grill to cook on. Arrive at least 1 hour before to park & set up. They use a fog machine to enhance the light show. If that is a bother, arrive closer to start time so you can park farther away from screens/machines at rear. They will direct parking traffic.

Oct 13, 2018 · Julio A MontalvoWhen to the State Fair for the first time in Georgia. Was disappointed in the agriculture aspects of fair. 4-h is the best gift a parent can give to their children and should be rewarded at the state fair level.
Oct 17, 2023 · Daniel BrockAbsolutely an incredible experience. Food isn’t all that so bring your own snacks. There was a food truck thought that looked and smelled pretty good! Will be back this summer!
