Big Pool Campground Introduce
Looking for a peaceful and intimate camping experience near you? Big Pool Campground, located at NF-18, Fall Creek, OR 97438, USA, offers a unique opportunity for a nature retreat in the Fall Creek area of Oregon. For inquiries or to check availability, you can reach them at (801) 226-3564 or +1 801-226-3564. Please note that while the phone number has an area code typically associated with Utah, it is provided as the contact for this Oregon campground.
The environment of Big Pool Campground is described as pristine and beautiful, particularly noting that it was not affected by recent fires that impacted other areas. The presence of "lots of trees" contributes to a natural and potentially shaded setting. The sound of Fall Creek is a significant aspect of the ambiance, offering a relaxing auditory backdrop for campers. The campground is characterized by its small size, featuring only a limited number of campsites, which can contribute to a sense of privacy and seclusion for those fortunate enough to secure a spot.
However, the limited number of sites (mentioned as both four and three in different reviews, suggesting there are very few available) also means that availability may be scarce, especially during peak seasons. One reviewer pointed out a lack of undergrowth between the sites, which could reduce visual separation and the feeling of individual campsite privacy despite the overall small size of the campground.
In terms of services and amenities, the provided information does not detail specific offerings like picnic tables, fire pits, or restroom facilities. Based on the typically rustic nature of smaller campgrounds, especially those in more remote settings, campers should likely be prepared with their own essentials. It is advisable to contact the provided phone number or consult relevant US Forest Service resources for information on available amenities and any specific regulations.
A key feature of Big Pool Campground is its access to Fall Creek. One review describes the access as "a little rugged but not terrible," while another elaborates that the trails to the creek are not easy for small children and require scrambling over narrow rocky ledges. This suggests that while creek access is available, it may be more suitable for older children and adults who are comfortable with some physical challenges. The opportunity to enjoy the creek, whether for its sounds or for potential activities like wading or exploring, is a significant draw for this location.
The proximity of the campsites to the road is mentioned as a potential drawback. With sites located only about 40 feet from the road, campers may experience some noise from passing vehicles. While the volume of traffic is not specified, this is a factor to consider for those particularly sensitive to noise while camping.
Despite the limited number of sites and the proximity to the road, the overall sentiment from at least one reviewer is positive, describing it as a "beautiful relaxing little spot" with a "good energy" and recommending it for anyone needing a nature retreat. The sound of the creek and the beautiful setting of Fall Creek seem to outweigh the drawbacks for some visitors.
As there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text, local users interested in Big Pool Campground should contact the provided phone number for any potential special offers or booking procedures. Given its small size and positive reviews regarding its natural setting and tranquility, it is likely a popular spot, and early booking may be necessary.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Fall Creek area, Big Pool Campground offers a unique option for a more secluded and nature-focused experience. The limited number of campsites ensures a less crowded environment, and the access to Fall Creek, despite its ruggedness in some areas, provides a connection to the natural beauty of the region. However, potential campers should be aware of the limited visual separation between sites and the proximity to the road. It is highly recommended to call the provided phone number to gather more details about the campground's amenities, specific campsite features, and the nature of the creek access to ensure it aligns with your camping preferences and abilities. Big Pool Campground could be an ideal choice for those seeking a quiet retreat immersed in the sounds and sights of nature, provided they are prepared for its small scale and potential access challenges.

Big Pool Campground Reviews
One of the campgrounds that did not get all burned up in recent fires Big Poole is pristine, private as there is only 4 sites. Access to the creek is a little rugged but not terrible. It's a beautiful relaxing little spot. I would recommend it to anyone needing a nature retreat, it has a good energy.
Jul 29, 2021 · Tim ErleiBig Pools is a pretty spot but has 3 major drawbacks.Firstly, there are only three sites and there's no undergrowth to visually separate the sites.Secondly, the sites are only about 40 feet from the road.Lastly, the trails to the creek, Fall Creek, aren't easy for small children & definitely require scrambling over narrow rocky ledges to get down to the creek. Easy enough for older children & adults but not for younger children.Even so there's the sound of the creek, lots of trees and the beautiful setting of Fall Creek.

May 24, 2022 · Colin KingenSmall and super cute! Gotta be quick to get a spot.
