Breakneck Campground Reviews
We decided to stop here to camp and were able to find a beautiful and secluded campsite on the edge of the gorge. The owner was very kind and respectful. We decided to stay two extra nights because we found it very relaxing and enjoyable. The location was great as it was near both Hells Hollow and McConnell’s Mill.
Aug 14, 2024 · Matthew Van RaalteIt was great. The cabin was cheap and provided electricity and shelter which is all we required. It was clean and offered a mini fridge and coffee maker which we didn't really utilize since we brought our own cooler and coffee thermos. They allowed us an early check in.Fire pit and picnic table on the campground itself. Bathroom and shower on site. The area was quiet and had easy access to the lake.Great stay, would recommend.

Apr 27, 2025 · T WWebsite states that bathrooms are clean and modern. They are definitely NOT!!! Very dirty and old looking! Thank goodness my husband and I have a Planet Fitness membership. There's one close by the campground we could shower at. PF facilities are definitely clean and modern!
Sep 04, 2023 · Jeanene IngraoBreathtakingly 'GORGE'ous! Our freshly created camp site was so private and woodsy, right on the crest of a deep ravine. The walk to McConnell's Mill Beach area was under a mile, which made the perfect day trip for our family friends and kiddos! The owners are always working so hard to keep camp running smoothly (and expanding new sites into woods), and they even come around personally in the evenings to collect your trash. Above and beyond!! If we had any issues at all, it would be the restroom facilities. Sprinting uphill on rough terrain to the portable toilet while in that 'oh so familiar' compromised state was a bit more challenging than we could have anticipated. However, the main bathhouse was in stellar condition; exceptionally clean by comparison to ALL other camping facilities. It's a bit of a jaunt from the campgrounds, but worth the trek for sure!!! All in all, our little getaway was so amazing, we might go back again this season! Thank you Dan and Becky! 💜
