Deer Point Resort Introduce
If you're searching for "camping near me" and envision a lakeside retreat with marina access in Tennessee, Deer Point Resort, located at 109 Deer Pointe Dr, Lobelville, TN 37097, USA, has historically been a destination for outdoor enthusiasts. You can reach them at (931) 264-1380 or their mobile number, +1 931-264-1380, to inquire about their current offerings and availability.
According to a long-term visitor who had been going to Deer Point RV and Marina since 1983, the resort was once highly regarded for its safety and peaceful environment. This long-standing patronage suggests a history of positive experiences at the location. The reviewer specifically mentioned never having experienced damage to their RV or knowing anyone who had, highlighting a past reputation for security and care.
However, the recent experiences shared by the same long-term visitor indicate significant changes following new ownership. This is a crucial point for potential visitors to consider. The reviewer reported approximately $5,000 in damages to their RV allegedly caused by rocks thrown from a lawn mower. Attempts to contact the new owners through the management were reportedly unsuccessful, raising concerns about communication and accountability.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer also noted a significant issue with the septic system, stating that it is no longer functional. As a result, guests are now required to purchase a dump tank and transport waste to a designated dumping station. This change represents a considerable inconvenience and an added expense for visitors, especially those staying for extended periods.
The information provided does not offer details about the environment of Deer Point Resort beyond its lakeside location and marina facilities. Typically, lakeside campgrounds offer scenic views, opportunities for water-based activities such as boating and fishing, and a generally relaxed atmosphere. However, the recent negative feedback regarding property damage and infrastructure issues warrants careful consideration alongside these potential benefits.
Similarly, specific services and amenities beyond the marina are not detailed in the provided review. Lakeside resorts often offer boat ramps, docking facilities, and possibly boat rentals. For RVers and campers, standard services might include hookups for water and electricity, though the septic system issue raises questions about the availability and functionality of sewer hookups. Information regarding restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or recreational areas is not available in the provided text.
The primary feature that can be inferred is the resort's location on a lake, providing access to water-related activities. The presence of a marina further supports this, suggesting facilities for boat owners and potentially rentals. However, the reported issues with property damage and the septic system detract significantly from these features.
No promotional information is included in the provided review. Therefore, it is impossible to comment on any special offers, discounts, or packages that Deer Point Resort might currently be offering. Potential visitors would need to contact the resort directly to inquire about pricing and any ongoing promotions.
In conclusion, while Deer Point Resort has a history of positive experiences and boasts a desirable lakeside location with marina facilities, recent feedback raises significant concerns. The reported property damage, the alleged difficulties in contacting the new owners, and the non-functional septic system are critical issues that potential visitors should be aware of. If you are considering "camping near me" at Deer Point Resort, it is strongly recommended to contact them directly to inquire about the current status of their facilities, address any concerns raised in the review, and understand the services and amenities currently available. It would also be prudent to seek more recent reviews from other campers to get a broader perspective on the current state of the resort before making a reservation.
Given the limited and concerning nature of the recent feedback, a fully detailed and positive introduction cannot be objectively provided based solely on this information. Potential local users searching for "camping near me" should approach Deer Point Resort with caution and conduct thorough due diligence before booking a stay.

Deer Point Resort Reviews
I have been going to Deer Point RV and Marina since 1983. I have never had damage to my RV or know anyone that has. It was really nice till recently. New Owners brought it. I have approx. 5K in damages due to rocks being thrown from a lawn mower. I have tried to contact the owners but the management has not given me the information. A prior employee who no longer works there told us he was one of the owners. He also confirmed as did my insurance inspector that the damage was from rocks. Septic system no longer works. You have to purchase a dump tank, dump in that and take it to a dumping station.
