The environment surrounding Devil Track Lake Campground is primarily defined by its proximity to the picturesque Devil Track Lake. Many of the campsites reportedly offer access to the lake, enhancing the camping experience with opportunities for swimming, fishing, and enjoying the waterfront scenery. The area is described as beautiful, consistent with the natural splendor of northeastern Minnesota, likely featuring a mix of boreal forest vegetation, including pines, spruce, and birch trees, providing shade and a sense of natural enclosure for the campsites. The privacy of the sites is also highlighted as a positive aspect, allowing for a more secluded and personal camping experience. While specific details about water availability at each campsite are not provided, the review mentions the experience of filling up with water as potentially challenging, suggesting that campers should inquire about water access points and plan accordingly. Local users considering a stay at Devil Track Lake Campground should be aware of certain considerations mentioned in reviews. The potential for significant mosquito activity, particularly during certain times of the year (late June as mentioned), suggests that campers should come prepared with effective insect repellent, and potentially devices like Thermacells or foggers, to manage this. It would be wise to check with the campground directly regarding the typical mosquito conditions for the time of year of their intended visit. Additionally, the comment about the water filling process being challenging suggests that campers should inquire about the location and ease of access to water sources within the campground and bring appropriate containers and possibly a water filter or purification tablets. While the majority of campsites reportedly have use of the lake, it would be beneficial to confirm this when making a reservation to ensure a lakeside experience if that is a priority.

Devil Track Lake Campground Reviews
This is a great lake campsite! Kind of halfway between Temperance in Falls and grand Marais stuff. Very secluded, you marry not get service out here, but it does have bathrooms, and most of the campsites have use of the lake! But pretty much all campsites in this area are so beautiful
Jul 02, 2023 · Jared LesueurNice big sites. Very private. I was here the last week of June and the sites weren't full Tuesday through Saturday morning. A little bit of a drive to Grand Marais. I've been into the outdoors my whole life. I take about 5 or 6 camping trips a year. The mosquitoes here are the worst I've ever seen in my life. They were relentless. A thermacell, fogger, citronella candle, and deepwoods off made them manageable in my site. Filling up with water another level of insanity. They need to spray out here.

Sep 15, 2019 · Bobbie BarrettAbsolutely great sites here - large and quite secluded from other campers. Most with a lake view or a quick path down to the water.
Jun 13, 2024 · Drey LogeCampground looked beautiful and secluded along a lovely lake. We couldn't stay however due to the amount of mosquitoes at our planned site, and we are very experienced in camping (and know to expect some mosquitoes). I have never seen so many in one place in my life.
