Encore Sunshine Travel Introduce
For local users in the Vero Beach and Sebastian, Florida area searching for "camping near me," particularly those with recreational vehicles, Encore Sunshine Travel, located at 9455 108th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32967, presents itself as an option. Based on recent customer reviews, this RV park offers a convenient location near local attractions and a welcoming community, but it also has some drawbacks that potential visitors should consider. This introduction aims to provide a balanced overview of the environment, services, features, and any implicitly mentioned promotional aspects of Encore Sunshine Travel to help local users make an informed decision.
Convenient Environment and Well-Maintained Grounds:
One of the primary advantages of Encore Sunshine Travel, as highlighted by multiple reviewers, is its favorable location. Its proximity to both Sebastian and Vero Beach is a significant draw, with Sebastian being described as a "charming little town" that visitors enjoyed exploring. This makes the RV park a convenient base for those wanting to experience the attractions, dining, and culture of these nearby coastal towns. The surrounding environment likely offers easy access to beaches, waterways, and other points of interest in the Vero Beach and Sebastian corridor.
The physical grounds of Encore Sunshine Travel are generally praised for being "clean and tidy" and "well maintained." One reviewer noted seeing improvements made during their two-week stay, such as road repairs and enhancements to common areas, indicating an ongoing effort to maintain and upgrade the property. This suggests that local users can expect a reasonably well-kept environment during their stay.
However, a notable environmental drawback mentioned is "the noise from the highway." This could be a significant concern for those seeking a quiet and peaceful camping experience, particularly at night. Potential visitors sensitive to traffic noise should consider this factor when choosing a site within the park, if site selection is possible.
Services and Amenities: Well-Kept but Potentially Limited for Families:
The amenities at Encore Sunshine Travel are described as "very well kept and spacious," which is a positive aspect for guests. While the specific amenities are not exhaustively listed, this suggests that the facilities available (such as restrooms, showers, laundry, pool, etc.) are generally in good condition and adequately sized for the number of guests. However, one reviewer mentioned that the pool had been "broken multiple times," preventing its use, which is a significant service issue that potential visitors should be aware of, especially during warmer months.
A notable feature appreciated by dog owners is the "large, grassy dog park," providing a dedicated space for pets to exercise and socialize safely. This is a valuable amenity for those traveling with dogs.
However, for families with children, the amenities appear to be lacking. The reviews specifically mention "no playground or any open area for kids to play but the mini golf area." While mini golf can be enjoyable, the absence of a dedicated play area might make the park less appealing for families with younger children who need space to run and play freely.
One concerning aspect raised in a review is the lack of responsiveness from the office to voicemails and emails. This suggests potential issues with communication and customer service, which could be frustrating for guests needing assistance or updates on park facilities.
Features and Community: Close-Knit but Potentially Quiet for Young Families:
A recurring theme in the positive aspects of Encore Sunshine Travel is the welcoming and friendly nature of the residents. Reviewers describe the neighbors and long-term guests as "quiet, lovely, and friendly" and "welcoming." This suggests a strong sense of community within the park, which can be a significant positive for those seeking a social and friendly environment during their stay.
However, the demographic of the residents is noted as being "many permanent and long term residents and all seniors," which led one reviewer to describe the atmosphere as "a bit boring for a young family." While the quiet and friendly environment might be appealing to some, families with young, active children might find the lack of similarly aged peers and dedicated play areas a drawback.
A significant negative feature mentioned is the "very, very close together sites" and "narrow roads and no walking paths." The close proximity of sites can lead to a lack of privacy and potential noise issues from neighboring RVs. The narrow roads and lack of walking paths could also pose safety concerns for pedestrians within the park.
The new section of the RV park is mentioned as being "very nice," and one reviewer indicated they might try it next time. This suggests that there might be variations in site layout, amenities, or overall quality between different sections of the park, with the newer area potentially addressing some of the concerns raised about older sections.
Implicit Promotional Aspects and Recommendations for Improvement:
While no explicit promotional offers are mentioned, the proximity to Sebastian and Vero Beach can be seen as an implicit selling point, attracting visitors who want to explore these areas. The well-maintained grounds and the friendly community are also positive attributes that might attract potential guests.
One reviewer provided two specific recommendations for improvement directed at the management: investing in sales and service training for staff and improving follow-up on guest inquiries regarding broken items. These suggestions, if implemented, could significantly enhance the guest experience and potentially attract more visitors through improved service and better maintenance of facilities like the pool and lighting.
Conclusion for Local Users:
For local users in the Vero Beach and Sebastian area seeking an RV park for short or potentially longer stays, Encore Sunshine Travel offers a convenient location with well-maintained grounds and a welcoming community of residents. Its proximity to charming towns and the coast makes it a good base for exploring the region. The large dog park is a significant plus for pet owners.
However, potential visitors should carefully consider the reported drawbacks, including the noise from the highway, the very close spacing of RV sites, the narrow roads and lack of walking paths, and the limited amenities for children. The recurring issues with the pool and the reported lack of responsiveness from the office are also important factors to weigh.
Local users, particularly families with young children or those seeking a quiet and spacious environment, might want to inquire specifically about the layout and amenities in the newer section of the park, as it is described positively. It would also be prudent to contact the management directly using the provided phone numbers, (772) 589-7828 or +1 772-589-7828, to inquire about current conditions of the pool and other amenities, site availability, and any specific concerns they might have based on the reviews. While Encore Sunshine Travel has its positives, a thorough understanding of its limitations is crucial for local users to determine if it meets their specific needs for "camping near me" in their recreational vehicle.

Feb 03, 2025 · Joy MThe neighbors and people that are staying here are welcoming, its one of the reasons we have stayed for a few months. The one star is because of: Multiple lights out on poles, we called FPL ourselves and got those fixed, roads are terrible, pool has been broken multple times preventing it from being used, office does not respond to voicemail or emails. The new section seems very nice, we may give that a try next time. If someone from management sees this, here are 2 recommendations: 1) please invest in some sales and service training for your staff to provide exceptional service, they are trying but need training and 2) take some time yourself to follow up on inquiries from your valued guests asking for simple updates on broken items instead of ignoring them.
Apr 13, 2025 · Steven De VosWhere do I begin? This is our second stay at this resort. I loved the people! There were many terrific volunteers that make this a great place to stay. However, the park itself is getting run down. The roads were terrible! Patches of concrete with lots of pothole...a safety hazard. The park has been working on the water pipes "for years" per the people that come back every year. The pool pump was broken for weeks when we came in December and is broken again! They posted that there is a gym...there is a cheap rowing machine and a treadmill pushed over to the edge of the game room. There was a female employee that drove erratically our last stay. I complained several times about her and she was still here....we almost hit her twice but were awake enough to watch out for her! Michelle the manager sent emails asking for a 5 rating on this park, but honestly,it doesn't deserve it. The people living in the park and the volunteers at the park are the only thing I will rate a 5.
Apr 01, 2025 · Rosanne SJust stopped in for one night of rest before continuing our trip. Picked it because the convenience of coming off highway. But nothing was convenient about getting in our spot RV spots are tiny and the even tinyer concrete pad they want you to stay on has not been maintained it's all broken up not level at all. Way too many obstacles in your way even though we got one on the outside part trees poles and things in your way when trying to back in. Not including that most residents are staying and live there so therefore they have built structures on their spots that are practically on your spot which make getting in even more difficult you are literally packed on top of each other like sardines. Thankfully for the kindness of one other camper we was able to make it in our spot but without him we would have had to pull off go so where else then on top of it could not get a hold of office to let them know that we will be late checking in even though calling for hours ahead of time never got through so if you have a bigger rig and are we looking for a easy convenient spot to get into look elsewhere this is not it.
Jan 08, 2025 · Pam WhiteWe like it here and have returned frequently. It is older but they are always striving to improve it and they are extremely niceIts clean and pretty organized. Some sites close to the highway can be a bit noisy but not too bad in my opinionEveryone here is pretty nice from campers to staff. They have activities and everyone is welcomePot holes...yes a few but it makes people drive slower through the park so maybe not a bad thing.I really like it here .Not far from the beachPeople who i have told about this place like it to.
