Are you searching for "camping near me" that combines the thrill of off-roading with the tranquility of nature? Look no further than Evans Creek Campground, located at NF-7930, Carbonado, WA 98323, USA. You can reach them at (425) 783-6000 or +1 425-783-6000. Based on the available customer reviews, Evans Creek Campground appears to be a popular destination for those who enjoy both camping and adventurous activities like four-wheeling.
One reviewer enthusiastically states that the campground is "Great for camping and 4wheeling." This immediately highlights a primary draw of Evans Creek Campground: its suitability for off-road vehicle enthusiasts. If you own an ATV, UTV, or other four-wheeled vehicle and are looking for "camping near me" with direct access to trails or areas where you can enjoy this activity, Evans Creek Campground seems like an ideal choice. The combination of a place to set up camp and the opportunity for 4wheeling right there is a significant convenience for those who pursue this hobby.
The same reviewer also mentions that by driving another 15 minutes down the same road (NF-7930), you can reach a lake, which they believe is called "Mohwich Lake" (spelling may be off). This suggests that while Evans Creek Campground itself might not be directly on a lake, it offers relatively easy access to one. Lake Mowich is indeed a real lake in the area, known for its stunning beauty and recreational opportunities, including hiking trails around it. So, if you're looking for "camping near me" that not only provides off-roading but also the option to visit a picturesque mountain lake for hiking or other activities, Evans Creek Campground could serve as a convenient basecamp.
Another reviewer shared a more personal experience, noting that it was "Super cold at night but loved it!! Such an adventure!!!" This comment provides insight into the environment of the campground. Being located in Carbonado, WA, which is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, it's reasonable to expect cooler temperatures, especially at night. The reviewer's emphasis on it being an "adventure" aligns with the earlier mention of 4wheeling, suggesting that Evans Creek Campground caters to those seeking a more rugged and outdoorsy experience rather than just a leisurely camping trip. If you're looking for "camping near me" that promises a bit of wilderness and adventure, and you come prepared for potentially cold nights, Evans Creek Campground might be right up your alley.

Jul 21, 2019 · Arieanna AustinThey have upgraded too more camp spots!!! :). If your looking for a campground out next to Mt. Rainer this is your place... Keep in mind you will be camping with 4x4 and motorcycle folks.. Got to be honest we can be a bit loud at night and during the day. We do have respect for the area as we have very few to use these days. Camp spots are clean and we'll maintained. Thank you, National Forest Service for your work in keeping this place open for us 4x4 folk. Your work does not go unnoticed.. Also a side not you will need a Forest Service Pass. I do believe you can get a day pass from some of the gas stations in the area.
Sep 21, 2017 · Chad ThomasI've had nothing but great experiences here. Even the worst case wasn't too bad. Our rig was stuck on the trail several years ago and the next morning we hiked down to the lower lot. A bunch of Jeep guys helped us out and got our rig down, thanks guys. Great community of trail riders. However, they're have been horror stories of broken down rigs being raided or even stolen overnight. 5 stars nonetheless.
