Falcon Group Campground Introduce
For those searching for "Camping Near Me" with the specific need for accommodating larger groups in the Lake Elsinore, California area, Falcon Group Campground, located off Main Divide Truck Trail, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530, USA, presents an attractive option. This campground is specifically designed for group camping and offers a natural, lightly forested environment with trails and scenic views, making it an ideal destination for family reunions, large gatherings of friends, or organized group outings.
According to a visitor's review, Falcon Group Campground features three distinct group campsites that require advance reservation via phone call. This reservation system ensures that when you arrive with your group, a designated and appropriately sized area will be available for your exclusive use. This is a significant advantage for large parties as it eliminates the uncertainty of finding multiple adjacent individual sites in a traditional campground.
In terms of amenities, Falcon Group Campground provides essential facilities to ensure a comfortable group camping experience. The presence of "nice vault toilets" offers a sanitary and relatively convenient restroom solution for larger numbers of people in a more rustic setting. The availability of "potable water" is another crucial amenity, allowing groups to stay hydrated and manage their cooking and cleaning needs without having to transport large quantities of water. The reviewer also noted the presence of "various picnic tables and BBQ’s depending on which sight," indicating that each of the three group campsites is equipped to facilitate communal dining and cooking, essential for group gatherings.
The natural environment surrounding Falcon Group Campground is described as a "nice lightly forested area with trails and views." This suggests that campers can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, with opportunities for leisurely walks or more adventurous hikes along the trails. The "views" mentioned imply that the location offers scenic vistas, further enhancing the overall camping experience and providing beautiful backdrops for group photos and memories.
It is important to note a specific detail regarding access to Falcon Group Campground. The reviewer mentioned that "the road up is very narrow with only one lane up for the last mile." This information is crucial for groups planning their travel, as it might necessitate careful coordination, especially if multiple vehicles are involved. It's advisable to inquire about the road conditions and any recommendations for navigating this final stretch when making your reservation.
For smaller groups or individuals who might find the group campsites at Falcon Campground too large, or if Falcon is fully booked, the reviewer provided a helpful alternative: "Blue Jay Campground is a quarter mile away with nice campsites ($20 a night) if you want to stay overnight." This suggests that the area offers a range of camping options to suit different group sizes and preferences, with Blue Jay Campground providing individual campsites for those not needing a large group area.
Another reviewer shared their positive experience, highlighting the spaciousness of the campsites. They noted, "Big campsite. Plenty of room. Nice layout if you want privacy." Even within a group setting, the layout seems to allow for some degree of separation between tents, which can be appreciated by those seeking a bit more personal space. This reviewer's group was quite large, comprising "5 tents one single and 2 family size and 2 dual family," and they confirmed that "it all fit and we were not right next to any other tents," underscoring the generous size of the group camping areas.
The reviewer also described Falcon Group Campground as a "Great place for the party and feast," indicating that the ample space and provided amenities are well-suited for group celebrations and communal meals. This reinforces the campground's suitability for gatherings where shared activities and dining are central to the experience.
However, this reviewer also pointed out a couple of areas for potential improvement. They mentioned that "the asphalt by the bathrooms breaking apart" could be a minor inconvenience or safety concern, especially at night. They also noted "no lights to show you where it ends at night or in the bathrooms." The lack of lighting around the bathroom area could pose a safety hazard after dark, and the absence of lights inside the bathrooms would certainly affect usability at night.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was described as "fantastic," suggesting that the positive aspects of Falcon Group Campground, such as its size, layout, and natural setting, outweigh these issues for many groups. The spaciousness and layout that allow for privacy even within a large group are significant advantages.
In summary, Falcon Group Campground offers a valuable "Camping Near Me" option for large groups seeking a well-equipped and naturally beautiful campsite near Lake Elsinore, CA. Its key features include three reservable group campsites, vault toilets, potable water, and picnic tables with BBQs at each site. The campground is situated in a lightly forested area with trails and scenic views. While access involves a narrow one-lane road for the last mile and there are minor issues with asphalt and lighting around the bathrooms, the spacious campsites and overall environment make it a great place for group camping, parties, and enjoying the outdoors. To reserve a site, you must call the provided phone number, (877) 444-6777 or +1 877-444-6777, to ensure your group has a designated camping area. Consider inquiring about the road conditions and any updates on the bathroom facilities when making your reservation.

Nice group campground with three sights you have to call to reserve. There’s are nice vault toilets, potable water, various picnic tables and BBQ’s depending on which sight. It’s located in a nice lightly forested area with trails and views. The road up is very narrow with only one lane up for the last mile. Blue Jay Campground is a quarter mile away with nice campsites ($20 a night) if you want to stay overnight.
May 15, 2021 · Jack RondiniOther than the asphalt by the bathrooms breaking apart and no lights to show you where it ends at night or in the bathrooms, it was a fantastic time. Big campsite. Plenty of room. Nice layout if you want privacy. Big group and we had 5 tents one single and 2 family size and 2 dual family and it all fit and we were not right next to any other tents. Great place for the party and feast.

Nov 24, 2023 · Alan CotaI made the reset a week ago and when I got there the forest rangers told me it burnt down 3 weeks agoAnd I even got a confirmation email telling me not to forget to be thereSo why didn't I get a update on the forest being burnt down?just nowI prepared for a very long time because this was my first time camping and I am very upset that this company didn't tell me that the forest burnt down and continued to sell reservations
Oct 02, 2024 · melody lamI recently had the opportunity to stay at Lupine in Falcon Group Campground, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The campground is situated in a beautiful area, offering a serene and scenic atmosphere for nature enthusiasts. The camping grounds at Lupine were well-maintained and provided ample space for setting up tents and other camping equipment. The surrounding landscape was breathtaking, with lush greenery and stunning views, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. One highlight of Falcon Group Campground was the presence of great hiking trails. These trails offered a variety of options for hikers of different skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned trekker or a casual nature lover, you'll find something suitable to explore. The trails provided a chance to immerse oneself in the natural beauty of the area and offered breathtaking vistas along the way. However, it's worth noting that the restrooms at the campground left something to be desired. While they were functional, it was clear that they could benefit from improved ventilation. The lack of sufficient airflow made the restrooms somewhat stuffy, which could be uncomfortable, especially during warmer months. It would be great if the management could address this issue to enhance the overall camping experience.Additionally, it's important to exercise caution when staying at Falcon Group Campground. The area is known to have tarantulas, scorpions, and rattlesnakes. While encounters with these creatures are relatively rare, it's advisable to be vigilant and take necessary precautions. Stay alert, follow safety guidelines, and be mindful of your surroundings to ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience.Despite the minor drawbacks, Falcon Group Campground, offers a picturesque setting and great opportunities for hiking. With its scenic beauty and well-maintained camping grounds, it's an excellent choice for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the great outdoors. Just be sure to come prepared and stay aware of the wildlife that inhabits the area.
