The environment of Heber Valley Camp is consistently praised for its natural beauty. One reviewer noted the "absolutely stunning" location, indicating that campers can expect breathtaking scenery. The grounds are also described as "very well kept," suggesting that the area is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to a positive camping experience. This emphasis on the natural surroundings makes Heber Valley Camp an attractive destination for those seeking a tranquil and visually appealing outdoor setting.
In terms of facilities, Heber Valley Camp appears to be well-equipped to provide a comfortable camping experience. Reviewers mention "clean and up to date facilities" and the availability of "running water," which are essential for a convenient stay. The campground offers various accommodation options, including "cabins," providing a more sheltered alternative to traditional tent camping. For those who enjoy the quintessential camping experience, "fire pits" are also available at the campsites, perfect for campfires and outdoor cooking.
Restroom facilities are provided for the convenience of campers, ensuring basic hygiene needs are met. Additionally, the presence of "pavilions" suggests communal spaces that can be used for gatherings, activities, or shelter. Attached to these pavilions are "kitchen facilities," a significant feature that allows campers to prepare their own meals. This self-sufficiency aspect is a key characteristic of the Heber Valley Camp experience.
A unique aspect of Heber Valley Camp is its operation by "volunteer missionaries" associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This volunteer-run nature likely contributes to the well-kept grounds and the welcoming atmosphere. It is crucial to understand that, as one reviewer explicitly states, this is "NOT a hotel," so expectations should be aligned with a campground setting that emphasizes natural surroundings and basic amenities rather than hotel-style services.
Reservations are explicitly "required" to stay at Heber Valley Camp, and these are "available through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." This indicates a specific booking process that potential campers must follow, likely involving contacting the church directly or using a designated reservation system. It is advisable for interested individuals to inquire about the reservation procedures and availability well in advance of their planned trip.
Several important guidelines are mentioned by a reviewer that potential campers should be aware of. The "pack it in, pack it out" policy emphasizes the importance of leaving no trace and ensuring that all waste is removed from the campsite. This reflects a commitment to maintaining the pristine environment of the campground. Additionally, "parking is limited, so carpooling is the norm." This suggests that visitors should plan accordingly and coordinate transportation to minimize the number of vehicles on-site.
Heber Valley Camp welcomes "groups," making it a potential destination for larger gatherings such as family reunions, church groups, or other organized events. The availability of cabins, pavilions with kitchen facilities, and open spaces could be particularly appealing for group camping. Furthermore, "some dates are available for family use," indicating that individual families can also reserve campsites or cabins for their own recreational purposes.

Heber Valley Camp Reviews
What a phenomenal, sacred place. The location is absolutely stunning with very well kept grounds, clean and up to date facilities, running water, and fun activities.
May 06, 2025 · Lizzie PackardReservation required, and available through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. NOT a hotel, so don't expect or anticipate anything of that sort. Amazing facility and beautiful nature surroundings. Volunteer missionaries are hosting the campground, equipped with cabins, fire pits, restrooms, and pavilions. Kitchen facilities attached to the pavilions. Bring your own food and cookware. Pack it in, pack it out. Parking is limited, so carpooling is the norm. Groups are welcome. Some dates are available for family use.
Feb 23, 2025 · Karl PettyBest family reunion gathering place ever! I've hosted a few reunions now, and this place is a favorite by all who attended. Clean cabins, electricity, running water, showers, a large covered pavilion, tables, chairs, an amazing large commercial kitchen, optional challenge courses, sound system, it really just rocks.
Sep 03, 2024 · Cindy MillsapLocated in the beautiful wasatch mountains makes for a beautiful view 🤩cabins were so nice. They sleep around 16 each which is very impressive!! Missionaries are very kind and just want to make sure everyone has a good time! They have hot running water which makes for great showers!! I would recommend for a family reunion or even youth camp!!
Aug 06, 2024 · Jake GoodmanCannot speak highly enough about this place and the missionaries who run it, especially for a winter camp. We held a missionary training camp for young men and young women for 3 days in February and it was surreal. Bucolic even. Warm cabins and yurts, surrounded by 3-4 feet of snow with groomed trails. Just beautiful and amazing. The kitchen facilities in the large pavilion are fantastic and met every need we had. The pavilion easily handled out 100+ people. Could've managed 300 if we needed it to.
