The environment of Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia is designed to enhance the family camping experience. While specific details about the natural landscape aren't extensively described in the provided reviews, the mention of cabins and the various activities suggests a well-developed campground setting. Campers can likely expect a maintained environment with designated areas for different types of camping, including RV sites, tent areas, and the glamping cabins highlighted in one review. The focus seems to be on creating a fun and engaging atmosphere rather than a purely rustic natural experience. The proximity to Caledonia, WI, suggests a location that is accessible while still offering an escape from urban life for those looking for "camping near me."
In terms of services, Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia appears to offer a wide range to cater to different needs. The availability of glamping cabins, as mentioned by a satisfied guest, is a significant service for those who want a more comfortable camping experience with amenities like a shower, toilet, fridge, oven, and microwave. This provides a "camping near me" option that bridges the gap between traditional camping and cabin rentals. The mention of a "Bear Paw" area and "Yogi" activities suggests dedicated spaces and programs for entertainment.
The features of this Jellystone Park are where it truly shines as a family-oriented "camping near me" destination. The highlights mentioned in a review include a drone show, a Silent Disco at Bear Paw, and various activities at "Yogi" (likely referring to Yogi Bear-themed events and activity areas). The "HEY ride" was also noted as being "super fun." These features indicate a focus on providing entertainment and creating a lively atmosphere for guests of all ages. The fact that the reviewer wished they had rented a golf cart (due to cost) but suggested bringing an adult scooter instead implies a large enough resort where getting around efficiently is beneficial. The availability of glamping cabins with full amenities is another key feature, offering a more luxurious camping option.
However, one review provided a contrasting experience related to a specific event, the "carnival of lights ‘pet night’." This guest expressed severe disappointment with the pet-unfriendly aspects of taking photos with Santa, where pets were not allowed inside a warm, professionally lit area but had to go behind the building in freezing, snowy conditions. This feedback suggests that while the resort may generally be pet-friendly, certain event-specific rules might not align with all pet owners' expectations. This is an important point for local users searching for "camping near me" with their pets to consider, especially if planning to attend special events.
Promotional information isn't explicitly stated in these reviews, but the description of unique activities like drone shows and silent discos, along with the overall family-friendly vibe, serves as a strong draw. Jellystone Parks often have seasonal events and promotions, so local users interested in "camping near me" at this location should check their official website or contact them directly to inquire about any current specials or upcoming events, such as the "carnival of lights" or others throughout the year.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, WI Reviews
We had a great time. We rented one of the glamping cabins and it was wonderful. We had perfect weather. The drone show and Silent Disco at Bear Paw were the highlights and we did every activity we could at Yogi too. I thought the HEY ride was super fun. We did not rent a golf cart due to the cost, but wanted to. I would just bring an adult sized scooter next time to get around. When I used my kids' scooters the distance from our cabin to the pool was much quicker. You can't get better than camping with a shower, toilet, fridge, oven, and microwave!
Jan 14, 2025 · TL KochWent here for carnival of lights “pet night” on December 4th 2024. First of all it was negative 5 with wind chill and snowy. There were accidents on every intersection surrounding the place, no fault of their own but still frustrating to navigate. After an additional 30 minutes of driving around we finally get inside and pay $30 to see the lights. Lights were cool. Next we went to take pictures with Santa. No pets allowed inside the building, you had to go behind the building in the freezing cold with no professional camera. Whereas inside was obviously WARM had professional lighting and a professional camera. Absolutely RIDICULOUS to call something a pet event and not make it pet inclusive. SEVERELY disappointed and dissatisfied.
Dec 05, 2024 · Alexis DeschlerI was not expecting much being it was so close to home. It turned out to be a blast and so relaxing. Nothing there creates pressure. Staff was so very friendly and courteous. Kids playing and being so happy in the water and playground. There is so much to do. One staff member, Michael, was super courteous and talked with me for a few minutes which was nice of him to take time from his schedule to see how the trip was.
Sep 20, 2024 · Chris WelchA HUGE facility with average sized full hook up sites, both pull through and back in, with both gravel and concrete pads. This family oriented park has enough to keep the kids active and entertained with things like 3 pools, including water slides, miniature golf, jump pad, playground, large video arcade, and much more. They have something like 300 sites and 75 cabins and rent electric carts to navigate the park. When the Milwaukee airport is landing north we’re under the arrival corridor so the planes fly over at low power settings and the noise level is about the same as the kids make while playing. I do periodically hear the trains in the distance but did not consider either of these to be noise issues.
Sep 25, 2024 · John DaleMy husband and I are staying in a campground down the road. I happened to drive by Jellystone and stopped in to check it out for a future stay. I walked in the office and politely inquired if I could drive through the park to look at the RV sites. I was told (rather curtly) by the young woman at the desk that tours are given during the week only. (It was Saturday.) I politely asked if I could just walk through, and was refused, with an attitude, because "there are a lot of people here." My next question was to inquire about rates. The reply was that "they charge all the time." I asked about a weekly rate and was told, "That would be very expensive." The audacity of this woman to assume she knows what I can afford to pay! She finally and grudgingly looked up the rates for the following week and told me an RV site was approximately $300 for 2 nights. Later that day I looked online and discovered the rates were $60-75 per night. I was dressed nicely and remained polite despite the incredibly rude treatment I received. We have family in the area, but we will NEVER stay at this campground. FYI there is a wonderful state campground right down the road, Cliffside Park. Water and electric only, but less than half the price of this place.
