Cliffside Park Campgrounds Introduce
For local users in Wisconsin seeking a tranquil and well-maintained "camping near me" option, Cliffside Park Campgrounds, located at 7320 Michna Rd, Racine, WI 53402, USA, presents an appealing destination. Reachable by phone at (262) 886-8440 or mobile at +1 262-886-8440, this campground has garnered positive feedback for its cleanliness, spacious sites, and peaceful atmosphere, making it an attractive choice for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
When local residents search for "camping near me," key factors often include the quality of the campsites, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the overall ambiance of the campground. Cliffside Park Campgrounds appears to excel in these aspects. Reviews consistently highlight the level and well-maintained nature of the "level gravel pads" at the campsites, providing a stable and comfortable foundation for both tents and RVs. The emphasis on cleanliness extends to the restrooms, which are described as "clean" and even "spotless" in one review, a significant factor for camper comfort and hygiene.
The environment of Cliffside Park Campgrounds offers a blend of natural beauty and convenient access to urban areas. One of the standout features mentioned by reviewers is the "Beautiful view of Lake Michigan," suggesting that some or all campsites offer scenic vistas of the lake, enhancing the overall camping experience. The campground is also described as "quiet," with a reviewer noting that "everyone understands it's not a party spot and keeps noise and lights to a minimum." This peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation and tranquility.
In terms of services and features, Cliffside Park Campgrounds seems to prioritize the essentials for a comfortable stay. The availability of "clean restrooms" with "nice and hot" water is a significant plus. The presence of well-maintained grounds ("everything is kept up nicely") indicates a commitment to providing a pleasant environment for campers. While specific details about hookups (water, electric, sewer) are not explicitly mentioned, the level gravel pads suggest suitability for RVs, implying that at least some sites might offer these amenities. To confirm the availability of specific hookups, direct inquiry with the campground is recommended.
One reviewer noted that "AT&T cell service was spotty at best," which is important information for campers who rely on mobile connectivity. This suggests that while the campground offers a peaceful natural setting, it might not be ideal for those needing consistent cellular service for work or communication. However, this could also be seen as a benefit for those wanting a true digital detox during their camping trip.
A point of caution mentioned in one review concerns the trails in the area. It was noted that "trailheads were not marked and trails were difficult to navigate," and that "the trail is through a wetland," advising campers to "wear proper shoes." While the campground itself receives positive feedback, those planning to explore the surrounding trails should be prepared for potentially challenging conditions and unmarked paths. However, the easy drive to Milwaukee mentioned by the same reviewer highlights the campground's convenient location for those wanting to explore the urban attractions of the city while enjoying a quieter camping base.
A significant feature of Cliffside Park Campgrounds, according to the reviews, is its value. One camper described the price as "Amazing," suggesting that it offers an affordable option for camping in the Racine area. When combined with the cleanliness, spacious sites, and quiet atmosphere, the attractive pricing makes it an even more compelling choice for local users seeking a budget-friendly "camping near me" experience without compromising on quality and comfort.
The description of the campsites as "spacious sites" is another noteworthy feature. Ample space at a campsite enhances privacy and allows for more comfortable setup of tents, awnings, and outdoor living areas. This, coupled with the level gravel pads, contributes to a more enjoyable and hassle-free camping experience.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the consistent positive feedback regarding cleanliness, spaciousness, quiet atmosphere, and amazing price serves as a strong implicit endorsement. The fact that one reviewer described it as "Cleaner than many 'resort' campgrounds" speaks volumes about the standards of maintenance and the overall quality of the camping experience offered at Cliffside Park Campgrounds.
In conclusion, Cliffside Park Campgrounds offers a fantastic "camping near me" option for local users in the Racine, Wisconsin area. Its level gravel pads, spotless restrooms, spacious campsites, and beautiful views of Lake Michigan provide a comfortable and scenic camping environment. The quiet atmosphere ensures a peaceful retreat, and the amazing price makes it an affordable choice. While cell service might be spotty for some providers and the local trails may be challenging to navigate, the overall positive reviews highlight the campground's strengths in cleanliness, comfort, and value. Local campers seeking a well-maintained and tranquil getaway with easy access to both nature and nearby urban centers should definitely consider Cliffside Park Campgrounds.

Cliffside Park Campgrounds Reviews
Nice, quite campground with level gravel pads. Clean restrooms and everything is kept up nicely. Be aware that AT&T cell service was spotty at best for us. We stayed in spots 34 and 28 for a week and enjoyed our stay. Easy drive to Milwaukee too. Trailheads were not marked and trails were difficult to navigate. Wear proper shoes, the trail is through a wetland. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan.

Oct 05, 2024 · MugsWe rented 10 sites this last week for the Harley Davidson Homecoming as we do every year, only this year we met the Camp Hosts Dave and his wife Grace. They really changed the feel and atmosphere at Cliffside! They are pleasant yet on top of the rules so that everyone has a great experience! We spent some time with both Dave and Grace at different times during our stay and they were truly on top of the park all day and evening. Thank you for changing camp hosts......We could already see the difference and loved every minute. We now must book another long weekend before the season is over. GREAT JOB!!!
Jul 29, 2024 · Craig HansonWe stayed for 3 nights and we're very pleased! originally I was posted at site 68 directly across from the bathrooms, but that area is pretty open to the sun, and there's a light at the end of the lot that shines down onto pad 68. For me that was not preferred so I moved down a few spots to pad 70 and stayed along the tree line in my tent, which stayed shaded all day long. pad 71 across from 70 also looks very shaded and the fire ring access is close by.Pad 71 is still fairly open in the sun for the picnic/fire ring but the pad site is large and can easily put up a Canopy or something similar to help with shade. there's also electric and water at site 70. The showers are on a timer but the water is hot, the shower head can feel a bit rough at first. There's firewood bundles on site for sale for $7 or there's a place down the road right before the entrance to the campgrounds that also sells firewood ranging from $3-$10. we took a 20 minute drive to Racine had dinner and walked the shore line, checked out some lighthouses, enjoyed the scenery. There's stores very close by so if you need anything it's easily accessible.over all great experience!
Jul 24, 2024 · Alexis VanspeybroeckCampground is well maintained and clean. It does not have sewer but dump station. We were here for about 5 weeks and were so completely satisfied. Casey from Park Department was awesome, as well as Dave and his wife, the camp hosts, very friendly and helpful. This was our fourth visit here and always enjoy. Wish parks Department would use larger gravel so you don't track it into RV.
