Lake view Park and Campground Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in the Rib Lake, Wisconsin area? Consider Lake view Park and Campground, located at 305 Park Row, Rib Lake, WI 54470, USA. You can reach them by phone at (715) 427-5404 or their mobile number, +1 715-427-5404. Based on recent feedback from campers, Lake view Park and Campground offers the appealing feature of lake views, but local users should also be aware of some reported changes in maintenance and amenities.
The environment of Lake view Park and Campground, as suggested by its name, includes a lake. One reviewer mentioned loving the view, indicating that the proximity to and visibility of the lake is a significant positive aspect of this location. Lakeside camping often provides opportunities for scenic enjoyment and potentially water-related activities, although the reviews do not specify what activities are available at Rib Lake. For those searching for "camping near me" who value a picturesque setting with water views, Lake view Park and Campground could be attractive.
In terms of services, the reviews provide some insights, though with a mix of positive and negative feedback. One long-time camper noted a change in the level of care, mentioning the absence of a camp host and the impact on maintenance. Specifically, they pointed out that the grass was not being cut, which they felt contributed to a significant mosquito problem and made it harder to keep sites clean. This suggests that while the natural environment might be appealing, the upkeep of the campground itself may have declined recently, which is an important consideration for local users looking for "camping near me" with well-maintained grounds.
The same reviewer also highlighted a change regarding the showers, which now cost $1.00 with a shortened time. They expressed the opinion that shower costs should be included in the camping fees or at least be more affordable, especially given the current economic climate. This increase in price and reduction in time for showers is a service-related factor that potential visitors might want to take into account when considering Lake view Park and Campground for their "camping near me" needs.
On a more positive note, the long-time camper did state that "the bathrooms are clean for the most part." This indicates that while some aspects of maintenance might be lacking, the cleanliness of the restroom facilities is generally satisfactory. Clean bathrooms are often a priority for campers, so this is a notable positive feature for those considering this location for "camping near me."
One reviewer mentioned that "they cleaned out some of the seaweed and now it stinks really bad." This suggests that while efforts might be made to improve the lake area, they can sometimes have unintended negative consequences, at least temporarily affecting the environment and the experience of those camping nearby. This is a factor to be aware of for local users particularly interested in enjoying the lake aspect of the campground.
Considering the feedback, Lake view Park and Campground offers the primary feature of a lake view, which is appreciated by visitors. The bathrooms are generally clean. However, there are concerns about the lack of a camp host, uncut grass leading to mosquito problems, and the increased cost and reduced time for showers. The temporary odor from seaweed cleaning is another environmental factor mentioned.
There is no explicit promotional information in the provided reviews. Therefore, an objective introduction must focus on the experiences shared by past visitors. The allure of the lake view is evident, but potential campers should weigh this against the reported maintenance issues and the cost of showers. For local users seeking "camping near me" primarily for the view and who are prepared for potential inconveniences related to maintenance and amenities, Lake view Park and Campground remains an option.
For those in the Rib Lake area looking for "camping near me," Lake view Park and Campground presents a mixed picture based on recent reviews. The scenic advantage of the lake view is a definite plus. However, the reported increase in mosquitoes due to uncut grass and the higher cost/shorter time for showers are drawbacks to consider. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is a positive aspect. Local campers will need to decide if the lake view outweighs these other factors for their camping needs.
To make an informed decision about Lake view Park and Campground for your "camping near me" search, it would be wise to consider what aspects of camping are most important to you. If a beautiful lake view is a top priority and you are willing to manage potential issues like mosquitoes and the cost of showers, this campground might still be appealing. However, if well-maintained grounds and inclusive amenities are more critical, you might want to explore other options in the area, as suggested by one of the reviewers who plans to find a different campground on their next visit.

Lake view Park and Campground Reviews
Unfortunately, without a camp host, Rib Lake is not taking care of the campground. I've been camping here for several years. This year, the mosquitoes are so bad, they don't cut the grass, which would help with mosquitoes and keeping sites clean. Showers are now $1.00, and time has been shortened. With the economy the way it is, now is not the time to cut corners and raise prices. Camp fees should cover cost of showers or at least go back to a quarter showers. I do have to say that the bathrooms are clean for the most part. Will find a different campground when we come back to town.
