Sep 02, 2024 · Kaiti MagdzasVery nice little campground. Enjoyed walks in the woods and the little gift shop/coffee shop in town😍 train whistle as they roll thru town but we didn't mind
Jun 07, 2022 · Colleen RaleyBeautiful park, however you cannot get rest as trains run through all night every hour on the hour blaring the horns. Finally get up to shower at 6:10 am to find they are push button showers for about 7 seconds of cold water. All I want is restful sleep and hot showers from a campsite and this site offers neither. It’s sad because the surroundings are beautiful.
Sep 08, 2024 · Cathy TwinknitterWould not recommend staying here if you're a tent camper or a light sleeper. There are 6+ trains that go by every night between around 9:30pm and 8am, and the campground is a minimum of about 200ft from the tracks so you can hear them very well. This also continues throughout the day, multiple times an hour. The toilets and showers are clean, but all of the water smells musty/vaguely like sewage no matter where it comes from (drinking fountains included), which could just be the groundwater in this area but was unpleasant nonetheless.I really wanted to like this place because our site (25) was fairly private, the place overall was calm and quiet other than a concert at the amphitheater one night, and it was great to have flush toilets and showers, but I probably will not be coming back.
Aug 07, 2023 · ALIYAH WHITROCKCapsite is great. My wife and I were really impressed and are planning on coming back with our kids and family! Only complaint is that, while forested, the campsite area is still really open and doesn't offer much privacy. Otherwise fantastic campsite.
