Redman Campground East Introduce
For local users in Missouri searching for "camping near me," Redman Campground East, located in Wappapello, MO 63966, USA, offers a camping option with some notable positive aspects highlighted in customer reviews, alongside some concerns regarding noise. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available feedback to help local users decide if this campground aligns with their preferences.
The environment of Redman Campground East, while not extensively described in terms of natural scenery, is mentioned as having "lots of room even when busy." This suggests that the campsites are reasonably spacious, potentially offering a sense of privacy even when the campground is well-occupied. One reviewer specifically appreciated the "really nice concrete patios" at the campsites, indicating a well-maintained and potentially more comfortable ground surface for outdoor living. The location in Wappapello, MO, suggests proximity to the natural attractions of the area, although these are not detailed in the provided reviews. Local users familiar with Wappapello might have expectations of the surrounding environment, which could include the lake and nearby natural areas.
In terms of services, Redman Campground East receives high praise for its hosts. One reviewer described them as "wonderful" and recounted an experience where the hosts provided helpful information about obtaining a disability card, resulting in a 50% discount on their stay. This level of helpfulness and care extends beyond just administrative assistance, as the reviewer also mentioned the hosts "sweetest ladies even checked on me after a surgery I had!" This suggests a personal and caring touch from the campground management, which can significantly enhance the camping experience. The presence of concrete patios at the sites also indicates an investment in the infrastructure of the campground, potentially contributing to a more comfortable and cleaner camping experience.
However, one review raises a significant concern regarding noise levels and the enforcement of quiet hours. The reviewer, camping at site 93, described a "nightmare" experience where children were screaming and throwing rocks and balls at their camper well past the stated quiet time of 10:00 PM. Despite attempts to address the issue directly with the children, the behavior persisted. Attempts to contact a park ranger were unsuccessful, leading to the involvement of the sheriff's department. While the sheriff's intervention resolved the issue temporarily, the disruptive behavior resumed the following night, culminating in disrespectful behavior from both the children and, allegedly, their parents upon the reviewer's departure. This review highlights a potential issue with noise control and respect among some campers, which could impact the experience of others seeking a peaceful retreat.
A notable feature mentioned is the concrete patios at the campsites, which could be particularly appealing for their durability and ease of maintenance. The helpfulness and caring nature of the hosts, as highlighted in one review, also stand out as a positive feature. Additionally, the potential for a 50% discount with a disability card, as facilitated by the hosts, is a significant benefit for eligible campers. However, the reported lack of enforcement of quiet hours and the disrespectful behavior of some campers are serious drawbacks that potential local users should consider.
Regarding promotional information, the only specific detail is the possibility of a 50% discount with a disability card, a benefit that was facilitated by the campground hosts. There is no other information provided about general promotional offers, seasonal rates, or other discounts that might be available to local users. Those interested in potential cost savings should inquire directly with the campground about any applicable discounts.
In conclusion, Redman Campground East in Wappapello, MO, offers some appealing aspects for local users seeking "camping near me," including wonderful and caring hosts, spacious campsites, and nice concrete patios. The potential for a 50% discount with a disability card is also a significant advantage for those who qualify. However, the negative experience reported by one reviewer regarding excessive noise and a lack of respect from other campers, and the apparent difficulty in contacting a park ranger, are serious concerns that potential visitors should be aware of. Local users who value peace and quiet, especially during designated quiet hours, might want to inquire about the campground's policies on noise and how they are enforced before making a reservation. Conversely, for those who prioritize spacious sites and helpful hosts, and who might be less sensitive to potential noise issues, Redman Campground East could still be a viable option. It is recommended that local users weigh these factors based on their individual preferences for a camping experience.
