River Bend Campground Introduce
For local users searching for a "camping near me" experience that offers peace, quiet, and ample space, River Bend Campground, located on Draper Dr, Evarts, KY 40828, USA, presents an appealing option. With contact numbers (606) 837-2018 and +1 606-837-2018, this campground has garnered positive feedback for its tranquil environment, friendly owners, and spacious sites, particularly suitable for those traveling with RVs and trailers. However, it's important to note a specific detail regarding electrical hookups mentioned in a customer review. This introduction aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the potential environment, services, and features of River Bend Campground, incorporating the crucial information about the 50 amp electrical service for local users planning their next camping trip.
Embrace the Quiet and Scenic Environment near Evarts, Kentucky
Evarts, Kentucky, is situated in a region characterized by the natural beauty of the Appalachian foothills. River Bend Campground, true to its name, likely benefits from a location near a river or stream, offering a potentially scenic and peaceful setting for campers. The environment around Evarts typically features rolling hills, wooded areas, and the soothing sounds of flowing water. Campers can anticipate a quieter atmosphere, away from the noise and congestion of more urbanized areas, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation and a connection with nature. The presence of a river suggests potential for riverside walks, fishing opportunities (depending on regulations and accessibility), and the enjoyment of the natural landscape. The spaciousness of the sites, as mentioned in a review, further enhances the feeling of tranquility and allows campers to spread out and enjoy their surroundings without feeling cramped.
Services and Amenities Catering to RV and Trailer Campers
Based on the customer reviews, River Bend Campground appears to cater particularly well to those camping with RVs and trailers, offering spacious sites to accommodate these larger vehicles and any accompanying "toys." The mention of "friendly owners" suggests a personal touch in the management and a welcoming atmosphere for guests. However, a critical piece of information from a review is that the campground provides 50 amp electrical hookups exclusively. This is an essential detail for potential visitors, especially those with RVs or campers that utilize a 30 amp electrical system. They will need to ensure they have the appropriate 30 amp to 50 amp adapter to draw power. Beyond this specific electrical detail, typical campground services and amenities that might be available include:
- Spacious Campsites: As highlighted in a review, the sites are large enough to accommodate RVs, trailers, and potentially additional vehicles or equipment.
- 50 Amp Electrical Hookups: This is a confirmed feature, catering to RVs and requiring adapters for 30 amp systems.
- Water Hookups: Likely available at most or all RV sites.
- Sewer Hookups: May be available at some or all RV sites; this should be confirmed directly with the campground.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: While not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, these are standard amenities at most campgrounds. Their cleanliness and accessibility should be verified.
- Water Access: Proximity to a river suggests potential for water-related activities, though specific access points and regulations should be checked.
- Waste Disposal: Provisions for trash collection and disposal.
- Friendly Owners/Staff: The positive mention of friendly owners indicates a welcoming and helpful management.
Local users planning to camp at River Bend Campground should contact the owners directly to confirm the availability of specific amenities, especially regarding water and sewer hookups at the campsites, and to inquire about the restroom and shower facilities.
Key Features Emphasized by Campers
The limited but direct customer feedback highlights several key features of River Bend Campground:
- Quiet Atmosphere: Campers appreciate the peaceful and tranquil environment, making it a good choice for those seeking a relaxing getaway.
- Spacious Sites: The generous size of the campsites is a significant advantage, particularly for RV and trailer owners.
- Friendly Owners: The welcoming and helpful nature of the owners contributes positively to the overall camping experience.
- 50 Amp Electrical Hookups: While a potential "downfall" for those without an adapter, this is a standard service for many larger RVs. Campers with 30 amp systems must be aware of this requirement.
These features suggest a campground that prioritizes a comfortable and peaceful stay, particularly for those with larger camping setups, provided they are prepared for the 50 amp electrical service.

River Bend Campground Reviews
Good, quiet Campground only downfall is they do not disclose anywhere that they are 50 amp only hookup, so if your 30amp you have to have the adapter to run power to your camper

Sep 03, 2023 · Kai HerrmannGreat weekend getaway! On site security was much appreciated. They even lent us a plug to convert from 50 amp to 30 amp since we left ours at home. Beautiful deck overlooking the creek complete with rocking chairs and a picnic table. Excited to see they are expanding with cabins as well. We will be back!
