Looking for a camping spot near you in Shoshoni, Wyoming? Tamarask Campground, located at Shoshoni, WY 82649, USA, offers a lakeside setting that may appeal to those interested in fishing and boating activities. Based on available user reviews, Tamarask Campground features a large lake accessible for fishing and boating, with an entry fee of $7.00. The campground also provides an open area for parking trailers.
The environment of Tamarask Campground is centered around its significant lake. This provides a natural backdrop for outdoor activities and potentially scenic views. Campers who enjoy spending time by the water may find the lake to be a key feature of this location, offering opportunities for relaxation and recreation. The presence of an open parking area for trailers suggests that the campground can accommodate visitors with larger vehicles and equipment commonly used for boating and fishing.
However, it's important to consider all aspects of the services and facilities at Tamarask Campground based on recent feedback. One review indicates that the campsites may not be level and that the campground does not offer essential hookups such as power, a dump station, or water. Additionally, the review mentions a muddy shore area. These are crucial factors to consider when planning your stay, especially if you require these amenities for a comfortable camping experience. Tent campers might need to be prepared for uneven ground, and RV campers should note the absence of standard hookups and plan accordingly for water and waste management.
The features of Tamarask Campground, as highlighted by a user, include the large lake suitable for fishing and boating. The $7.00 entry fee mentioned seems to grant access to these lake activities. The availability of an open area for trailer parking is another practical feature for those bringing boats or larger camping setups. However, the lack of level sites and essential hookups (power, water, dump station) are significant features that potential visitors should be aware of, as they can impact the overall camping experience.
Regarding pricing, one user review indicates a discrepancy between the online advertised price of $18 and the actual cost of over $45. This user also mentioned that a new full hookup (FHU) RV park in Shoshoni is available for a lower price. It is strongly recommended that you contact Tamarask Campground directly at (307) 876-2796 or +1 307-876-2796 to confirm the current and accurate pricing for campsites and any additional fees, such as the $7.00 entry fee for lake access. Based on the available information, Tamarask Campground offers a lakeside environment with opportunities for fishing and boating. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported lack of level campsites, the absence of power, water, and a dump station, and the muddy shore area. Tamarask Campground Reviews
It is very big lake that we can fishing, boating $7.00 to get in the door, open area to park your trailer
Jul 09, 2024 · Lehoangthang LeLake is o.k. but totally overpriced. Sites are not level, no power, no dump station, no water. Shore area is muddy. That all for $ 45. There is a new FHU RV park in Shoshoni for less. Misleading price of $ 18 online which at the end is over $45.
Jul 20, 2024 · Kai LuckanUnusual campsite on gravel next to the lake. Just a few designated pitches with the rest park where you like. Nice enough next to the water but very few amenities and you are near to the railway line. Not much else in the area though to camp at so good site if you are in this area.
