Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Wisconsin, Whitetail Ridge Campground boasts a beautiful environment that promises relaxation and rejuvenation. Imagine waking up to the sounds of nature, surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. The campground's location near Shallow Lake suggests potential opportunities for water-based activities, although specific details about lake access and amenities aren't provided in the reviews. However, the overall ambiance described by a visitor as a "beautiful place" hints at a tranquil setting perfect for unwinding from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This natural environment serves as an ideal backdrop for creating lasting memories with loved ones or simply enjoying some peaceful solitude.
While detailed information about specific services and amenities offered by Whitetail Ridge Campground isn't available in the provided reviews, we can glean some insights into what to expect. One enthusiastic review highlights the "Friday night fish fry," mentioning a variety of delicious options such as cod, perch, and walleye. The inclusion of a "salad bar & soup" suggests that the campground likely has some form of dining facility or organizes special food events. The reviewer also praised the drinks, indicating that beverage options are available. This focus on a Friday night fish fry could be a regular feature, drawing in both campers and locals looking for a tasty meal in a relaxed setting. The positive feedback about the "great" food and the variety offered suggests a commitment to providing a satisfying culinary experience for guests.
Beyond the potential for a delightful fish fry, the positive review also emphasizes the "very clean" facilities and the "very friendly" staff. Cleanliness is a crucial aspect of any campground, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay for all visitors. Knowing that Whitetail Ridge Campground maintains a high standard of cleanliness provides peace of mind. Furthermore, the friendly staff can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, offering assistance, answering questions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This positive interaction with the staff can make a big difference in how guests perceive their stay and whether they would consider returning.
The mention of Whitetail Ridge Campground as a "Great stop off the path" suggests that it might be conveniently located for travelers or those exploring the surrounding area. This could make it an ideal basecamp for discovering local attractions, hiking trails, or other points of interest in the Sarona region. While the reviews don't explicitly detail features like specific campsite types (e.g., RV sites, tent sites), hookups, restrooms, showers, or recreational areas, the positive experiences shared hint at a well-maintained and welcoming campground that prioritizes guest satisfaction.
Unfortunately, one review expresses dissatisfaction related to gaming machines, stating concerns about payout percentages. While this feedback is important to note, it seems to be an isolated comment and doesn't reflect on the core camping experience, the quality of the food, the cleanliness, or the friendliness of the staff. It's possible that these machines are a small part of the overall offerings and may not be relevant to all campers. However, it's a point of feedback that potential visitors might want to consider if gaming is a significant factor in their campground selection.

The positive remarks about the beautiful environment, the delicious Friday night fish fry, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the friendly staff paint a picture of a well-regarded campground that prioritizes guest comfort and enjoyment. Aug 26, 2024 · chris kemperBeautiful place, more greed as the machines pay back about 10%. You people would make more in the long run if you paid out once in awhile. But that greed gets you. Won't be back
Jun 09, 2024 · fishconsin LangeLove the salad bar, fresh! Came for the Thursday night pasta buffet. Been here before for prime rib. Service is great, atmosphere is awesome. Can't go wrong!
Jul 13, 2023 · Barb JohnsonOur home away from home! Owners are welcoming & caring, like family! Food is always excellent & so are the other campers!
Jun 16, 2024 · Emilie CroesWent on a Wednesday for broasted chicken which as it turns out translates to fried chicken. It was okay at best. The service just had to make you laugh or else you would get mad. Now there were 3 tables of people and 3 people at the bar so you would think a bartender, waitress, owner and a cook could handle this, wrong. Without making this a book, I won't be back.
