Amoco RV Park

293 Amoco Rd, Hackberry, LA 70645, USA

3.0
I rented a spot for several months. The day I packed up to leave I drove into sulphur to get a hitch for my truck. I get back and the owners son living in the first RV spot at the left stole 15 brand new crab traps from me. The owners allowed it to happen. This RV park is ran by thieves who steal from their tenants. Stay far away from this place! Do not recommend! - Victor Palumbo

Amoco RV Park Introduce

For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hackberry, Louisiana area, Amoco RV Park, located at 293 Amoco Rd, Hackberry, LA 70645, USA, presents a location with certain reported characteristics. You can contact them at (337) 796-9257 or mobile +1 337-796-9257 for inquiries. It's important to consider all available feedback when evaluating this or any RV park for your needs.

Based on the limited reviews available online, the environment of Amoco RV Park appears to have both positive and potentially concerning aspects. One reviewer described the park as "Quiet," which can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil setting for their RV stay. This suggests that the general ambiance of the park might be conducive to relaxation and a slower pace of life, away from the noise and bustle of more crowded areas.

However, another crucial piece of information regarding the environment is the mention of being "Strom ravaged." This indicates that the park has experienced damage from a storm, and while the timing and extent of this damage are not specified, it is a factor that potential visitors should be aware of. It is advisable to inquire about the current condition of the park, including the RV sites, common areas, and any ongoing repairs, before making a reservation. Understanding the extent of the storm damage will help you assess whether the park meets your expectations and safety requirements.

In terms of services and features, one reviewer noted that the park "has all other hook-ups" besides Wi-Fi. This typically implies that Amoco RV Park offers essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewer connections at its RV sites. These full hookups are standard and necessary for most RV travelers, providing the convenience and functionality needed for a comfortable stay. However, the explicit mention of "no wifi" is a significant drawback for those who rely on internet connectivity for work, communication, or entertainment. If Wi-Fi is a crucial amenity for you, Amoco RV Park, based on this review, does not currently offer it.

The social aspect of the park seems to have mixed reviews. One reviewer described the park as "Friendly," suggesting a welcoming and potentially community-oriented atmosphere. Interactions with other campers or the management might be positive and contribute to a pleasant stay. However, it is critical to address the very serious negative feedback provided by another reviewer who rented a spot for several months. This individual alleged a significant incident involving theft and accused the "owners" of allowing it to happen. The specific claim involves the theft of 15 brand new crab traps by the owner's son, who reportedly resided in the park. The reviewer strongly advises others to "Stay far away from this place! Do not recommend!"

This accusation of theft and the implication of mismanagement are severe and should not be disregarded. While it is only one person's account, it raises significant concerns about the security and integrity of the park management and its residents. Potential visitors should carefully consider this feedback alongside any positive comments. It might be prudent to seek further information or clarification regarding this incident if possible.

Given the stark contrast in the two available reviews, it is challenging to paint a comprehensive and universally positive picture of Amoco RV Park. The "quiet" aspect and the availability of "all other hook-ups" are potential benefits. However, the lack of Wi-Fi and the report of storm damage are notable drawbacks. Most significantly, the serious allegation of theft and mismanagement presents a significant red flag that prospective tenants should carefully weigh.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. To inquire about rates, availability, the current condition of the park post-storm, and to potentially seek clarification on the serious allegations made in one of the reviews, it is essential to contact Amoco RV Park directly at (337) 796-9257 or mobile +1 337-796-9257. When you call, you may want to ask specific questions about security measures, the status of any storm-related repairs, and the availability of amenities like Wi-Fi.

For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Hackberry, LA, Amoco RV Park offers a location that is reportedly quiet and provides full hookups (excluding Wi-Fi). However, it has also been described as "strom ravaged," indicating potential environmental impacts to consider. Most importantly, a former tenant has made a serious accusation of theft and mismanagement against the park. This feedback should be taken very seriously and factored into your decision-making process.

Before considering a stay at Amoco RV Park, it is strongly recommended to conduct further due diligence. This could include seeking additional reviews from other sources, contacting the park management to ask detailed questions about their policies, security measures, and the status of any reported issues, and possibly even visiting the park in person to assess its current condition and atmosphere. The significant negative feedback regarding theft warrants extreme caution.

In conclusion, while Amoco RV Park in Hackberry, LA, is described as "quiet" and offers full hookups (minus Wi-Fi), potential visitors must be aware of the report of storm damage and, more critically, the serious allegation of theft and mismanagement by a former tenant. This conflicting feedback necessitates thorough investigation and careful consideration before making a decision to stay at this RV park. It is crucial to prioritize your safety and security when choosing an RV park, and the negative review raises significant concerns that should not be ignored.
