Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals exploring long-term living options within the "RV parks near me" category, particularly those interested in dedicated mobile home communities, Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park presents itself as a compelling choice with a dynamic living experience. Located at 10129 Harley Leighton Rd, Redding, CA 96003, USA, this park caters to a diverse resident base, including families. For inquiries or to learn more about availability, interested parties can contact the park at (530) 410-0509 or via mobile at +1 530-410-0509. The detailed and updated reviews provide a rich tapestry of its environment, services, and features, allowing for an objective introduction.
The park's location in Redding positions it within a vibrant Northern California city, offering residents access to a wide array of urban amenities, services, and employment opportunities. At the same time, its setting "off a winding road through wide spread properties and quiet neighborhoods" suggests a more secluded and residential feel, providing a balance between city convenience and a peaceful home environment. The presence of a "little creek just behind the park" adds a natural amenity that enhances the overall ambiance and offers recreational opportunities, particularly for children.
The environment at Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park is a major strength. It is described as generally looking "nice" due to the park's strictness about "trash and not allowing the spaces to go unkept." This commitment to cleanliness and tidiness ensures a visually appealing and pleasant living space for all residents. A significant recent upgrade to the environment is the repaving of the "entire park so the roads are really nice," improving both aesthetics and navigability within the community. The "large lawn areas are big and well kept," providing open spaces for recreation and relaxation. The natural element of "the creek right next to the park provides a nice place to go in the summer and the kids like to build forts out there," creating a valuable natural playground and a peaceful spot for residents. Many spaces boast "large lots," offering residents ample personal outdoor space, and there are "a ton of spaces that are on the end cap if you're trying to score a space with no neighbors to one side," providing additional privacy. The manufactured homes are also noted as "well kept," contributing to the overall positive appearance of the park.
In terms of services, while specific details on every amenity are not provided, the reviews highlight several key operational aspects. The efficient trash collection, with "Two large dumpsters for trash" that are "picked up once a week," ensures a clean and odor-free environment, even for those living directly next to them. The park's management, despite being subject to changes, is generally described as "nice." This suggests a commitment to responsive and polite interaction with residents. The park's policy on maintaining spaces ensures a certain standard of upkeep across the community. The swift action taken to address "problem people" by kicking them out, resulting in the park becoming "quiet and lovely" and feeling "very safe and nice," demonstrates a commitment to resident well-being and a willingness to enforce community standards for the benefit of all.
The features of Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park are diverse and contribute significantly to its appeal. A notable feature is its family-friendly atmosphere, with "Kids everywhere all day long" who "feel safe enough to play outside." This creates a lively and welcoming environment for families with children. The park's approach to decoration, where they "aren't super strict about decorating so you don't feel like you live in a soulless park" and residents can display "personal style and decor," fosters a sense of individuality and community character. This flexibility allows residents to personalize their spaces, making the park feel more like a true home. The "friendly tenants/owners" and the fact that "Most of the people are very friendly!" who "regularly say Hello" and "stop to help when stuff is going on" underscore a strong, supportive community spirit. The presence of dogs being walked regularly, allowing for petting, adds to the friendly and approachable ambiance.
However, an objective introduction must also address the challenges mentioned. A significant concern is the "rent gets raised every single chance they get," with an increase of "over 100$ in the 2 years," which one resident notes is "against my contract." This financial aspect is a critical consideration for prospective residents, highlighting potential issues with affordability and contract adherence over time. The frequent management changes ("new manager every year") are also seen as a "bad sign," potentially leading to inconsistencies in policy or resident relations. A serious safety concern raised was a "terrible septic problem and their leach fields are not gated off," posing a hazard for children playing. While not directly addressed in the updated positive comments, this is a significant infrastructure issue. Additionally, the park faces "cat problems" with "so many stray cats" causing nuisance, which indicates a recurring challenge. Finally, internet and cell service are noted as problematic ("Hughes Net internet and really bad cell service"), with "Starlink is a year wait listed out," which could be a significant drawback for those reliant on connectivity for work or communication.
Despite these challenges, the overall sentiment remains positive, especially after the "EDIT" update noting that "They have kicked out the problem people and the park is quiet and lovely. They moved in more families and the park feels very safe and nice." This indicates a proactive approach to improving the living environment and a successful shift towards a more desirable community. The resident's ultimate recommendation, "I would recommend this park to my friends and families," despite its problems, suggests that its positives outweigh the negatives as "it's absolutely better than most in town."
In terms of promotional information, the extensive positive feedback from a long-term resident serves as powerful organic promotion. The emphasis on a clean, well-maintained park with newly paved roads, large green areas, and a creek access highlights its desirable physical attributes. The focus on a friendly, safe, and family-oriented community, where residents feel comfortable and supported, is a strong draw. The flexibility in decorating also promotes a sense of individuality and home. While issues like rent increases and internet connectivity are noted, the park's demonstrated willingness to address significant problems (like "screaming meth fights" and bringing in "more families") acts as a strong promotional message about its commitment to improving residents' quality of life. For those searching for "RV parks near me" that include mobile home options and prioritize community, safety, and a pleasant environment, Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park presents a compelling, transparent, and ultimately positive option.

Brookside Redding Mobile Home Park Reviews
*UPDATED*Ive lived here about 2 1/2 years now(3 and half years now) and I generally like it.Ill start with the good stuff.*They tend to be pretty strict about trash and not allowing the spaces to go unkept. So generally the park looks nice.*They just repaved the entire park so the roads are really nice. *The large lawn areas are big and well kept. Kids everywhere all day long and I enjoy that they feel safe enough to play outside. *The creek right next to the park provides a nice place to go in the summer and the kids like to build forts out there.*Most of the people are very friendly! They regularly say Hello to me and even stop to help when stuff is going on. Some have dogs they walk regularly and you get to pet them! Love it. haha*They aren't super strict about decorating so you don't feel like you live in a souless park. You can tell peoples personal style and decor from the outside. Its all pretty tasteful. Some people's spaces are even super fun to look at.*Two large dumpsters for trash. I live on a lot thats right next to one and I almost never smell trash. Its picked up once a week. The negatives are the same for most places like this.*The rent gets raised every single chance they get. Its gone up over 100$ in the 2 years I've been here. Which is against my contract.*They also just changed management again. While the management is nice! Its usually a bad sign that you have a new manager ever year.*They have a terrible septic problem and their leach fields are not gated off. Very unsafe for the amount of children that play here. Plus its not good for the leach fields.*The cat problems. Just so many stray cats. People in the park keep catching them all and we have peace for a month or two but then someone brings a new cat that's not fixed and they let it outside. They pee all over my cars and my front porch. I know other neighbors have the same problem.*There is also some problems people in the park. If you like screaming meth fights then you get to see the show once in a while. It doesn't happen super often but often enough that it brought the review down a star. *EDIT: They have kicked out the problem people and the park is quiet and lovely. They moved in more families and the park feels very safe and nice.*You only get Hughes Net internet and really bad cell service. Starlink is a year wait listed out.All in all its a pretty good place to live. Its absolutely better than most in town. Like any place it has problem but none that are deal breakers for me. I would recommend this park to my friends and families.
Mar 18, 2024 · Vada MarigoldDreamsLove this park! Tucked away off a winding road through wide spread properties and quiet neighborhoods. Many of these spaces have large lots and there are a ton of spaces that are on the end cap if you're trying to score a space with no neighbors to one side. There's even a little creek just behind the park that creates a wonderful ambiance. What I find most appealing here are the manufactured homes that are well kept and have friendly tenants/owners.
Sep 16, 2019 · Alessandra BottThis place is a awful place to live. Drug dealers, home invasions, theft, unkept drainage issues, car theft, rude unfriendly people not a place to call home for sure, this is what you get to deal with if you live there. These people will get your large down payments from you and kick you out. These are awful people to deal with. Lawn people weed eats and make rocks hit your brand new car now you have to fix the paint and get a new windshield. Management complaints alot and the have no leaway with rent payments. Neighbors are loud. This is a aweful place to live take your money and kick you out. Kicked single mom and her kids out. Bad. Why becauee i was late in rent. Always paid my rent always gave me a 3 day notice when they knew i was out of the country. Nice way to run a business taking advantage of people. I would not recommend living here or any other places managed by this company.
