Camp Rucker RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Daleville, Alabama area, Camp Rucker RV Park, located at 505 Troy Edmundson Rd, Daleville, AL 36322, USA, offers a straightforward and potentially convenient option for both short and potentially longer-term stays. Situated in close proximity to the U.S. Army aviation base, Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker), this small park presents a no-frills environment with some notable characteristics, as reflected in the feedback from fellow RVers.
Camp Rucker RV Park can be contacted directly for inquiries and reservations at (334) 500-2256 or via mobile phone at +1 334-500-2256. Speaking with the management directly will allow potential visitors to confirm current rates, availability, and any specific policies or amenities offered beyond what is mentioned in the available reviews.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the environment of Camp Rucker RV Park is characterized by a significant presence of trees, which is generally appreciated by those seeking shade and a more natural setting. However, one reviewer noted that the roads within the park are in poor condition, which is a factor to consider for RV maneuverability and overall comfort while navigating the grounds. The presence of "lots of full-timers" suggests a community with a stable long-term resident base, which can contribute to a sense of security and neighborliness for short-term visitors as well.
A key environmental factor highlighted in one review is the proximity to the army aviation base. This results in noticeable helicopter noise, particularly in the morning. While one reviewer mentioned that this becomes "white noise after a while," it is undoubtedly a significant aspect of the park's environment that potential visitors should be aware of, especially those sensitive to noise.
In terms of services and features, the reviews provide a glimpse into what Camp Rucker RV Park offers. One reviewer mentioned that their site was "pretty level," which is a positive aspect for setting up an RV. However, they also pointed out a significant inconvenience: the sewer hookup was uphill from their site, making it difficult to empty their tanks. This is a crucial practical consideration for RVers and suggests potential limitations in the park's infrastructure at some sites.
The limited on-site amenities were also noted by a reviewer, who stated that the only amenity they observed was a laundry room, which they found to be clean and affordable. This suggests that Camp Rucker RV Park focuses on providing basic necessities rather than a wide array of recreational or convenience facilities. For travelers who prioritize essential services over extensive amenities, this may be sufficient. However, those seeking features like a pool, clubhouse, or organized activities might need to look elsewhere when searching for "RV parks near me."
The reviews also offer some insights into the surrounding area. One visitor mentioned that shopping was located about seven miles away in Enterprise, suggesting that while the park itself might be somewhat secluded, essential services are reasonably accessible by car. They also offered a specific, albeit subjective, opinion about a local fast-food restaurant in Enterprise. Another reviewer mentioned finding a bowling alley in town that was "great" and "super inexpensive," indicating that there are some local recreational options available within a short drive.
Price is always a significant factor for those searching for "RV parks near me." One reviewer mentioned being quoted $45 a few months prior to their stay but being charged $50 upon arrival. While they noted that this wasn't a "huge deal," it does highlight the importance of confirming the current rates at the time of booking to avoid any unexpected discrepancies. The price point suggests that Camp Rucker RV Park might be positioned as a more budget-friendly option in the area.
Overall, the sentiment expressed in the reviews suggests that Camp Rucker RV Park is perceived as a safe and adequate place for a temporary stay, particularly for those passing through the area. One reviewer summarized it as "nothing special about the park but it was a safe place to stay for 2 nights on our way to Florida," indicating that it serves its primary function as a secure overnight stop. Another reviewer, on a cross-country trip, recommended the park, highlighting the friendliness of fellow RVers and the spaciousness of the campsites.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Daleville, AL, Camp Rucker RV Park offers a location with mature trees and a community feel due to the presence of long-term residents. However, potential visitors should be prepared for potential noise from the nearby aviation base and be aware of the reported issues with road conditions within the park and the uphill sewer connections at some sites. The limited on-site amenities mean that travelers should plan accordingly for their needs beyond laundry facilities.
Promotional information for Camp Rucker RV Park, based on the available reviews, could focus on its affordability, its safety and security as a stopover location, and the friendly atmosphere among the RVers. Highlighting the spacious campsites and the potential for a quiet, tree-shaded environment (notwithstanding the helicopter noise) could also be appealing. For longer-term stays, the sense of community fostered by the full-time residents might be a draw.
To attract more visitors, Camp Rucker RV Park could consider addressing the concerns raised in the reviews. Improvements to the internal roads and ensuring level and functional utility hookups at all sites would enhance the guest experience. While the helicopter noise is unavoidable due to the location, transparent communication about this aspect upfront would help manage expectations. Showcasing the clean and affordable laundry facilities and emphasizing the park's proximity to essential shopping in Enterprise and local recreational options like the bowling alley could also be beneficial in their local marketing efforts when users search for "RV parks near me."
In conclusion, Camp Rucker RV Park in Daleville, Alabama, offers a basic and seemingly budget-friendly option for RVers in the region. Its proximity to Fort Novosel and the resulting helicopter noise are significant environmental factors. While the park boasts a friendly community and spacious sites, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues with internal roads and sewer hookups. For those prioritizing a safe and convenient stopover with essential laundry facilities and access to nearby town amenities, Camp Rucker RV Park is worth considering. Direct contact via phone at (334) 500-2256 or +1 334-500-2256 is recommended to obtain the most current information and make reservations.

Camp Rucker RV Park Reviews
This small park was alright. Lots of trees, which is always nice, but the roads are bad. Lots of full timers, which is fine. It's all near an army aviation base, so there was a lot of helicopter noise, especially in the morning. The site was pretty level. However, the sewer was uphill so hard to dump the tanks. We did go into town and went bowling, which was a great place and super inexpensive. We were quoted $45 a few months ago, but we're charged $50 when we got here, which wasn't a huge deal. Overall, nothing special about the park but it was a safe place to stay for 2 nights on our way to Florida.
Mar 18, 2025 · Carrie ButlerWell, this was our second stop on our cross country trip. As for the park, all of the fellow RVers were very nice and friendly, lots of room for camp spot. Only on site amenities was laundry room, which was clean and affordable. Shopping was 7 miles away in enterprise, don't waste your time at Bojangles, what a joke! The helicopter airport becomes white noise after a while, lol. I would recommend this RV park.
Mar 18, 2025 · Bryant HumphreyI have not been here long the people are great here they came and welcomed us everyone seems very friendly and that is a plus to me the place is very clean and the laundry room is very everything is nice
Feb 03, 2025 · Ileauive BryantWe stayed from March until June 2023 and had a wonderful time. This park is quiet and in close proximity to both base, food, gas and laundry services with full hookups. The owner was so kind and even made it a point to say hello and introduce himself. The campsites have enough room for children to play and you don't feel like you're on top of eachother. The grass is maintained regularly and there is a dumpster on site. I highly recommend this location to anyone here for a temporary or long stay!
May 29, 2023 · Laura HadleyGreat RV lot. I have been here since Feb2024 and have zero complaints.
