Canyon View RV Park Introduce
Searching for "RV parks near me" in the Spanish Fork, Utah area? Canyon View RV Park, located at 2340-2424 Powerhouse Rd, Spanish Fork, UT 84660, USA, offers a no-frills, convenient option for RV travelers, particularly those seeking short-term stays. Based on customer reviews, it serves as a functional base for exploring the region or attending local events.
The environment at Canyon View RV Park is described by reviewers as "smaller" and "very tight." This suggests that the layout might prioritize the number of sites over spaciousness. Maneuvering larger RVs could require careful spotting, as one reviewer explicitly advises having "good spotters." While the park might not offer expansive grounds or lush landscaping, its primary appeal seems to lie in its functionality and location within Spanish Fork.
In terms of services, the reviews indicate that Canyon View RV Park provides essential hookups, specifically mentioning "power & water." This suggests that guests can expect at least electrical and water connections at their sites. While sewer hookups are not explicitly mentioned, they are a common expectation at most RV parks, so it would be prudent to confirm this directly with the park management. The absence of detailed information about other amenities in the reviews suggests that the focus is likely on providing the basic necessities for a comfortable overnight or short-term stay.
One reviewer notes that the park "works great if you need to stay a night or 2," highlighting its suitability for short layovers or quick visits to the area. Another user mentions using the park specifically when their daughter has softball tournaments, emphasizing its convenience for those attending local events in Spanish Fork. This suggests that Canyon View RV Park might be a practical choice for visitors with specific destinations or activities in the vicinity.
However, it's important to note the limitations mentioned in the reviews. One guest points out that it "can get very hot there in the summer months," advising RVers to ensure their air conditioning is functional. This is a crucial consideration for travel during the Utah summer. Additionally, the close proximity of the RV sites is mentioned as a drawback ("The area for your RVs is very close together, so that kind of sucks"). This reinforces the earlier point about the park being "tight" and suggests that guests should be prepared for limited personal space between sites.
Another significant point from the reviews is the distinction made by one guest: "But it is NOT a campground." This implies that Canyon View RV Park might lack the recreational amenities and more natural setting typically associated with campgrounds. Visitors should likely expect a more utilitarian setup focused on providing hookups rather than extensive outdoor facilities or a wilderness experience. This aligns with its apparent suitability for short, event-focused stays.
Features of Canyon View RV Park, based on the limited information, seem to center around its accessibility to Spanish Fork and the provision of basic utility hookups. The fact that repeat stays are mentioned ("Be happy to stay here again") despite the tight spaces suggests that the convenience and functionality outweigh the lack of spaciousness for some travelers, particularly for short durations. The park's phone number is (801) 804-4600 or +1 801-804-4600, which can be used to inquire about specific site details, availability, and any additional services offered.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. To learn about any potential discounts for longer short-term stays, seasonal rates, or other special offers, it is recommended to contact Canyon View RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about site sizes, the availability of sewer hookups, and any other amenities (such as Wi-Fi, restrooms, or laundry facilities, if available) would also be beneficial when you call.
In conclusion, for those searching within the "RV parks near me" category in Spanish Fork, Utah, Canyon View RV Park presents a basic and convenient option, particularly for short stays related to local events or as a stopover. While described as a "smaller" and "tight" park with closely spaced sites, it offers essential power and water hookups. Travelers should be aware of the potential for high temperatures in the summer and the absence of a traditional campground atmosphere. For more detailed information about services, site availability, and any potential promotions, contacting Canyon View RV Park directly at (801) 804-4600 or +1 801-804-4600 is recommended.

Canyon View RV Park Reviews
Not a bad place to stay but it’s a smaller very tight rv park. Just have some good spotters. Be happy to stay here again. No issues
Jan 04, 2025 · Slow WalkerIt works great if you need to stay a night or 2. It can get very hot there in the summer months. So make sure your RV has A/C. The area for your RVs is very close together, so that kind of sucks. But it does have power & water. We basically use it for when our daughter has softball tournaments. It's cheaper than a hotel. But it is NOT a campground.
May 05, 2024 · Raquel MowerWe found this little park on a Google search. Overall, it's a nice one night stopover.Be advised that the spaces only accommodate trailers about 24 feet long and that's if you disconnect your tow vehicle. Our 40 foot 5th wheel was a bit difficult to park. The road was busy until after dark, and then it was very quiet. The pay station only takes cash or checks. We tried to find a walkable path from the rv camp to the park but weren't able to. The camp area and the park are about 30 feet apart in elevation, and the slope is dirt and covered with leaves. An area map would be helpful. We came in from I-15 from the south, and Google maps led us on a zig-zag path in the back way. Come in from 15 on 6.The city website is less than helpful, although I'm sure a phone call to the park dept. would've cured that.Edit: The walking path is adjacent to the entrance to the parking area.
Jul 02, 2024 · Lawrence HayesWe stayed at this RV park (which isn't really an RV park but a re- purposed parking lot) on 4/8/22. I originally paid for 2 nights in advance because my son had a baseball tournament for two days but the parking was so unlevel that I couldn't get our rig level. I even used 2 cases of leveling blocks which I've never had to do. We had to sleep on a huge angle, couldn't cook food or shower either. It was ridiculous. The next morning we called and informed them we'd like to be refunded for our next night due to the conditions. The lady promptly told us that they didn't offer refunds. We objected that we weren't really asking for a refund but to not pay for the next night and the reason was the condition of their RV park. They still declined to refund our money. There were a ton of open spots so it wasn't a matter of us costing them a different reservation it was simply an objection to giving our money back for a night we didn't even use. That's ok... I paid with AMEX so I just denied 1/2 of our payment but I'm writing this to warn others. In addition to that, when we first pulled up on day one, some detectives pulled up next to us and got out and had a trail camera that they set up right inside the woods behind the parking sites. Not 20 feet from where we were camped. I inquired and they refused to tell me what the camera was for but after they left I ventured into the woods and saw the camera was pointed down the hill towards the park and what appeared to be a bench dug out in the hill. I can only assume that some people were down there doing drugs or something. Regardless, it made me feel pretty sketchy that some sort of illicit activities were going on right where me and my family were sleeping. Anyways, I'd recommend staying somewhere else. There is a reason why they won't refund money and I'm guessing that it's because the site is so flipping unlevel people want to leave all the time.
Apr 12, 2022 · Kyle BlackburnWe stayed at this rv park on our trip out to California from Colorado. The sites are level and clean and we had no issues on an overnight. On the way back from California our rig got a flat tire in Utah and we notified this RV park to let them know we would not be making it for our reservation tonight. They did not refund us for the night we did not stay at the park and we were told that their system does not allow refunds. This is unacceptable and I would definitely not recommend staying at this rv campground. Proceed with caution and happy trails.
