If anyone is wanting to buy here stay away. Management changed. There doing "good" changes but not for us but for them. there going start billing everyone for water when other mobile home parks you don’t it come included with the lot. Owner/management decided it was a good idea to put water meters on each mobile home but they have turn off the water from 8AM-2PM for 3weeks. Plus rent is super high I bet it will rise again this year ($428) - Eric Zavala

For those exploring the "RV parks near me" category in the Provo, Utah area, considering mobile home parks for extended stays can sometimes present additional options. Lamplighter Estates, located at 255 N 1600 W APT 147, Provo, UT 84601, USA, is primarily a mobile home park that has recently undergone management changes, prompting both positive and negative feedback from its residents. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for RV users contemplating a longer-term presence within this community.

The environment of Lamplighter Estates appears to be in a state of transition under new ownership and management. One long-term resident of four years notes that the new owner is "at lest trying to make it a better place," citing the removal of old trees as a safety measure and the subsequent planting of new ones as positive steps. This suggests an effort to improve the overall aesthetics and safety of the park. The same reviewer also mentions the implementation of background checks, indicating a focus on community safety and resident screening.

However, another reviewer expresses significant concerns about the changes, particularly regarding the new policy of billing residents individually for water, which they state is typically included with the lot rent in other mobile home parks. This change is viewed negatively by this resident, especially in conjunction with a reported increase in rent (currently $428, with an anticipated further rise). Additionally, this reviewer mentions a disruptive issue of water being turned off daily from 8 AM to 2 PM for three weeks, causing considerable inconvenience. These points highlight potential drawbacks and increased costs associated with the new management's initiatives.

In terms of services and features, as a mobile home park, Lamplighter Estates likely provides essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups at each lot. The recent implementation of water meters suggests that water usage is now being tracked and billed individually, a change that has been met with resistance by at least one resident. For RV users considering a long-term stay, understanding the billing structure for all utilities, including potential individual metering for water, is crucial. Inquiries should also be made about the reliability and capacity of the electrical hookups to ensure they can support the demands of an RV.

Beyond the essential utilities, other amenities commonly found in mobile home parks might be present at Lamplighter Estates, but the provided reviews do not offer specific details. These could include paved roads within the community, waste disposal services, and possibly communal areas. Laundry facilities might be available on-site, although this is not mentioned. The focus in a mobile home park is typically on providing the infrastructure for long-term independent living, and the availability of recreational amenities might be limited compared to dedicated RV resorts.

The location of Lamplighter Estates in Provo offers access to the amenities and attractions of a mid-sized Utah city. Provo is situated in Utah Valley, south of Salt Lake City, and is known for its proximity to Brigham Young University, its vibrant community, and access to outdoor recreation in the nearby mountains and Utah Lake. For long-term RVers, being located in Provo can provide a balance of urban conveniences and natural beauty.

The reviews do not mention any specific promotional offers for new residents, whether in mobile homes or potential long-term RV stays. If you are considering Lamplighter Estates for an extended RV stay, it would be essential to contact the management directly at (801) 377-3708 or +1 801-377-3708 to inquire about the possibility of accommodating RVs, the terms and conditions of such stays, monthly rental rates (and whether they differ for RVs compared to mobile homes), and all applicable park rules and regulations, including the new water billing policy and any other recent changes.

The contrasting opinions in the reviews highlight a period of significant change at Lamplighter Estates. While there are efforts to improve the park's condition and safety, these changes are also accompanied by increased costs for residents and potential disruptions, as evidenced by the water shut-offs. For RV users considering a long-term stay, it is crucial to weigh the potential benefits of the ongoing improvements against the reported drawbacks and increased expenses. Direct communication with the management is essential to gain a clear understanding of the current living conditions and policies at Lamplighter Estates.

In conclusion, Lamplighter Estates in Provo, Utah, is a mobile home park undergoing significant changes under new management, with both positive developments in terms of park upkeep and safety measures, and negative impacts such as the implementation of individual water billing and reported rent increases. For those in the "RV parks near me" category seeking a long-term stay in Provo, Lamplighter Estates presents a complex picture. Direct engagement with the management is necessary to determine if RVs are accommodated, to understand the full scope of services and utility costs, and to assess whether the current environment and ongoing changes align with your needs and preferences for an extended stay.
