North Little Rock Parks Introduce
For local residents searching for "camping near me" in the North Little Rock, Arkansas area, the North Little Rock Parks Campground offers a straightforward and value-oriented option. Located at 4101 Arlene Laman Dr, this campground appears to provide the basic amenities and accessibility expected of a municipal or county-style park, according to customer reviews. While it might not offer the extensive natural features of a state park, it is praised for its friendly management, ease of use, and reasonable rates, making it a practical choice for both short and potentially longer stays in the region.
The environment of North Little Rock Parks Campground seems to be characterized by a significant presence of mature trees, which, while potentially hindering satellite dish reception, likely provide ample shade for campsites, especially during the warmer months. The reviews suggest a setting comparable to other state or county parks, implying a natural but perhaps not overly wild or secluded environment. The ease of backing into the sites indicates a well-planned layout that considers the convenience of RV and trailer users. The fact that the observed sites are level suggests good preparation of the camping areas, contributing to a more comfortable setup for campers. While the proximity to specific natural attractions (like lakes, rivers, or extensive hiking trails directly within the park) is not detailed, the location within North Little Rock provides access to the broader urban and natural amenities of the area. The overall environment appears to be functional and comfortable, with the trees being a notable feature.
The services at North Little Rock Parks Campground include essential amenities for a comfortable camping experience. The reviews mention easy hookups at the campsites, implying the availability of utility connections such as electricity and possibly water and sewer, although the specifics of each site's hookups are not detailed. The presence of a dump station is noted, although its inconvenient placement on the exit route is mentioned as a minor drawback. The managers are highlighted as being "very nice and helpful" and residing on-site, which could provide a sense of security and easy access to assistance, albeit with potentially "mutable" hours. The campground is also noted for being a "very good value for the price" and having "very reasonable rates," suggesting that it offers essential services at an affordable cost. While amenities like Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, or recreational features (beyond the basic camping experience) are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the focus seems to be on providing well-maintained sites with necessary hookups and accessible management. The comparison to state/county parks suggests a level of service consistent with publicly run campgrounds.
The key features of North Little Rock Parks Campground include its easy-to-back-into campsites, which is particularly beneficial for RV and trailer owners. The levelness of the sites contributes to a more stable and comfortable camping setup. The availability of hookups makes it convenient for RVers and those who require electrical or water connections. The very reasonable rates and good value for the price make it an economically attractive option for camping in the area. The friendly and helpful on-site managers are another significant feature, providing assistance and a sense of security. While the difficulty in aiming a satellite dish due to the trees might be a drawback for some, the shade provided by these trees is likely a welcome feature for many campers, especially during hot Arkansas summers. The inconveniently placed dump station is a minor negative point. Overall, the features emphasize ease of use, affordability, and helpful management, making it a practical choice for campers looking for a no-frills experience with essential amenities.

North Little Rock Parks Reviews
If you are used to camping at State/County parks, this has no surprises. The managers are very nice and helpful, but live on-site so their hours are mutable. Tough to aim the Dish because of all the trees, and the dump is on the wrong side going out. But the sites are easy to back into and the ones we saw are level and easy to hook up to. Very good value for the price.
