Toad Suck Park Introduce
Looking for a convenient and clean "camping near me" option in Arkansas? Consider Toad Suck Park, located at 93 Park Rd, Bigelow, AR 72016, USA. You can reach them at (501) 759-2005 or their mobile number +1 501-759-2005. Based on recent visitor feedback, Toad Suck Park offers a practical and well-maintained environment, particularly suitable for those on a road trip or seeking a short camping getaway. It's important to note that the experience can vary depending on the camping loop you choose.
One recent visitor described their stay in site C10 as the "best site," highlighting its lack of close neighbors and a great view of the bridge and the river. This suggests that certain areas of the campground offer more spacious and scenic options compared to others. The same reviewer, who stayed for two nights over a weekend as part of a longer road trip, found the park to be a great, convenient, quiet, and clean place to camp. They also appreciated the visible presence of the host/ranger, which contributed to a feeling of safety within the campground. This emphasis on cleanliness and security can be a significant draw for many campers.
However, another review pointed out a contrast between different camping loops within Toad Suck Park. It was mentioned that while Loop D has spaces that are "crowded close together," Loops A, B, and C are considered "nice." This indicates that when booking a site, it might be beneficial to inquire about the specific loop to ensure it meets your preferences for space and proximity to other campers. Despite the varying spacing, the park is generally regarded as clean, and the camp host is considered friendly, contributing to a positive overall experience.
For those traveling to Toad Suck Park, one reviewer recommends a stop at the Toad Suck truck stop/gas station on the way in to pick up some Toad Suck memorabilia. This local point of interest adds a unique touch to the area and might be worth a visit for those interested in local souvenirs or a quick stop for supplies.
Considering the feedback, Toad Suck Park appears to be a campground that prioritizes cleanliness and convenience. While it may not offer the secluded, deep-in-the-woods experience some campers seek, it provides a well-kept and secure environment for overnight stays or short trips. The availability of sites with river and bridge views, like C10, adds to its appeal. The friendly camp host further enhances the visitor experience.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Toad Suck Park presents itself as a viable option, especially if you value accessibility, cleanliness, and a sense of security. If you are planning a longer road trip and need a comfortable and reliable place to stop for a night or two, Toad Suck Park fits the bill. If you're looking for a weekend camping trip closer to home and prefer a well-maintained setting, it could also be a good choice, keeping in mind the potential differences in site spacing across the loops.
To make the most of your stay at Toad Suck Park, it would be advisable to inquire about the availability of sites in Loops A, B, or C if you prefer more space, or specifically request site C10 if it's available and you're interested in the river and bridge views. The positive comments regarding the cleanliness of the park and the friendliness of the host suggest a well-managed facility that aims to provide a pleasant experience for its visitors.
In summary, Toad Suck Park offers local users searching for "camping near me" the following:
- A convenient location in Bigelow, AR.
- Generally clean and well-maintained grounds.
- A friendly camp host.
- Some campsites (like C10) with nice views of the river and bridge and more space.
- A secure environment with regular checks by the host/ranger.
- Proximity to the Toad Suck truck stop for local memorabilia.
However, it's also important to note that:
- Some camping loops (like D) have sites that are close together.
- It may not be the ideal choice for those specifically seeking a secluded, wilderness camping experience.
Overall, Toad Suck Park provides a practical and clean camping option for those in the Bigelow, Arkansas area or those passing through. If you prioritize convenience, cleanliness, and a sense of safety in your "camping near me" search, Toad Suck Park is worth considering. Just be mindful of the different camping loops when making your reservation to ensure you select a site that best suits your needs and preferences.

Toad Suck Park Reviews
Wow! Now, I know what I'm getting when I book a site, if I wanna be in the middle of the woods, I book that, this is not that. What it is a great, convenient, quiet and clean place to camp for a night or two. I booked two cause it's a weekend but this is just one stop on a long road trip. Undoubtedly, my site, C10 is the best site. Most are too close together but this one has no neighbors. Great view of the bridge and the river. Host/ranger was vert pleasant and I saw them regularly checking the campground (love that! Felt safe). Make sure you stop at the Toad Suck truck stop/gas station on the way in to grab some Toad Suck memorabilia!!
Oct 26, 2024 · Amber LavalleeSpaces are crowded close together in Loop D, but Loop A, B & C are nice. Clean park, friendly camp host.
Mar 03, 2025 · Stephanie OsborneWe had a wonderful time here! The people that work the campground were so kind and so were all of the neighbors. It was cool watching the barges and hearing them blow the horns. Campground bathhouse is SUPER clean and very well maintained. Probably the cleanest we’ve ever seen at a campground. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Plus on Friday nights there’s a good truck over by the Convenience Station ( walking distance ) that we heard serves up some amazing fried catfish. Will absolutely come back.
Apr 22, 2022 · Tori MarieDon’t let the name put you off! This is our first time here, and we were pleasantly surprised. First time at a COE park in a very long time. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, staying through Friday. Great welcome at the gate! Our space is right on the river with a view across to the lock. Fun to watch the barges pass through. Very minor traffic noise from the bridge. Hearing the river noise is like hearing the surf at the beach—very relaxing. The spaces are all fairly long and MOST are level. Clean and well-maintained with no underbrush or weeds. The restrooms/showers are clean, and are restocked frequently, it appears. So many huge, beautiful trees to enjoy. Most sites will be very shady come summer.Highly recommend!
Mar 15, 2022 · bondgirl42Pretty park, poorly laid out, cramped, and most sites unlevel. But still it's a pretty park with good scenery.
