Crooked Creek RV Park Introduce
Seeking well-equipped "RV parks near me" in a convenient Oklahoma location? Consider Crooked Creek RV Park, situated at 36402 S Hwy 82, Vinita, OK 74301, offering access to the recreational activities around Grand Lake. This RV park provides a range of amenities and features for a comfortable stay, whether you're passing through for a night or planning a longer visit. You can reach them at (918) 770-6111 or +1 918-770-6111 for inquiries and reservations.
Crooked Creek RV Park offers both pull-through and back-in sites, catering to various RV sizes and preferences. Each site is equipped with full hookups, including water, sewer, and electric connections. A notable feature is the inclusion of piped propane directly to each site, offering an added convenience for RVers who utilize propane for appliances or heating. The park boasts all-cement roads and pads, ensuring level and stable parking for your RV. Additionally, each site features a side grass area, providing a touch of greenery and space between neighbors.
Beyond the individual RV sites, Crooked Creek RV Park offers several facilities to enhance your stay. For those who prefer cabin accommodations, the park features three cabins available for rent. Laundry needs can be met at the on-site facility, which includes three washers and three dryers, available for a fee ($2.00 per wash, $1.50 per dry). For the safety and well-being of guests, the park provides a yurt-style, roomy tornado shelter equipped with bench seating inside, offering peace of mind during severe weather.
Pet owners will appreciate the dedicated dog park, allowing their furry companions a space to exercise and socialize off-leash in a designated area. The park also provides dog waste bags at several locations throughout the grounds, encouraging responsible pet ownership. It's worth noting, however, that some recent reviews mention concerns about dogs being off-leash outside the designated dog park and instances of barking dogs, which prospective guests may want to consider.
At the entrance of the RV park, guests will find a pub/restaurant. While this amenity could offer convenience for meals and socializing, one recent review noted that the pub/restaurant was very smoky, which may deter some guests. The same review also mentioned that the laundry area, being attached to the pub/restaurant, had a smoky odor and was not well-maintained, with some machines out of order or malfunctioning. These are points to consider when evaluating the park's amenities.
During a recent visit, a reviewer observed that a new section was under construction, indicating potential future expansion of the park to accommodate more guests. This suggests ongoing development and investment in the property. The reviewer also commended the owner for the initial investment in infrastructure, such as the cement roads and pads.
Several positive aspects of Crooked Creek RV Park are highlighted in the reviews. Guests have described the park as "nice" and appreciated the level concrete pads (in the original section). The availability of water, sewer, electric, and propane hookups at each site is also seen as a significant advantage. Furthermore, the park's location offers proximity to essential amenities such as a grocery store, gas station, hardware store, and a Sonic Drive-In, providing convenience for everyday needs.
One reviewer pointed out a potential cost-saving tip: during the off-season, a week-long stay was cheaper than paying for four nights. This suggests that Crooked Creek RV Park may offer discounted rates for longer stays, particularly outside of peak season. It's advisable to inquire about weekly and monthly rates when making your reservation.
Despite the positive aspects, some areas for potential improvement have been noted in the customer reviews. One recurring concern is the issue of dogs being off-leash or on long tethers outside the dog park, leading to difficulties for guests walking their own dogs, especially if encountering aggressive animals. While there are posted rules about keeping dogs on leashes, some long-term residents reportedly do not adhere to these rules. Establishing and enforcing park rules regarding pets would enhance the experience for all guests.
Another suggestion from a reviewer is the need for on-site management or an employee presence. The lack of a dedicated office and consistent on-site support was highlighted as a concern when a guest experienced an issue with the laundry facilities and was unable to resolve it. Having readily available staff could improve guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Finally, one reviewer raised the question of the park's future direction, suggesting that allowing older, worn-down RVs (unless designated for full-time residents) might detract from the overall quality and appearance of the park, especially given the investment in infrastructure. Establishing standards for the condition of RVs could contribute to a more aesthetically pleasing environment.
In conclusion, Crooked Creek RV Park near Grand Lake offers a convenient location with full hookup sites, including propane, and level concrete pads. The presence of a dog park, laundry facilities, and proximity to local amenities are additional benefits. However, potential guests should be aware of recent feedback regarding inconsistent laundry service, the smoky environment in the pub/restaurant, and concerns about off-leash dogs and the lack of consistent on-site management. By addressing these areas, Crooked Creek RV Park has the potential to become an even more desirable destination for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Grand Lake area. Contact them at (918) 770-6111 or +1 918-770-6111 to inquire about current rates and availability.

Crooked Creek RV Park Reviews
*** UPDATE - After we were gone a few weeks, the Crooked Creek RV Park at Grand Lake, OK emailed us a bill for electric for our one-week stay. We have been RVing for many years and we have NEVER encountered an RV park that DID NOT DISCLOSE this to us prior to or any time during our stay or even after we left...until we received the bill. Keep this in mind if you happen to stay at this campground, as every site does have metered electric. Each site is either pull through or back in with full hookup and propane piped to it. All cement roads and pads with side grass between each site. There are three cabins available. A pub/restaurant is at the entrance with three washers and three dryers available to use at a cost of $2.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry. There is a yurt-style, roomy tornado shelter with bench seating inside. A dog park and plenty of dog waste bags available in a couple locations through the park. During our visit, a new section was being constructed for future added guests. Whoever owns this park put a lot into it.And now for some of our personal thoughts and suggestions for this park to go in the direction we believe the owner would like it to go. The pub/restaurant is very smoky. We did not go there for this reason. It really does not add to the experience of the park. The laundry area needs work or put it somewhere else. It smelled like smoke being attached to the pub/restaurant, was very dirty, plus one washer was out of order and another we used did not wring out clothes. We spent an additional $8.00 more than we should have to get clothes done when we could have gone to a better place. This is not a feature for the park unless it is corrected. Also, there should be a manager or employee on-site. There is no office and while the girl who answered at the beginning was responsive, she followed up by ghosting us when we requested our laundry money as a refund. We felt like we had no support at the park after that incident. Older RVs that are worn down should not be allowed in the park, unless you are going for full time residents only. Barking dogs (one day it was constant for over a half a day) and dogs off leash need to be controlled. Rules need to be established and need to be followed. So we were a bit confused on what this park was to become. Will it be a typical below average park in the future? It seems like a waste of money to develop it with the cement roads and pads for that to occur. We have high hopes for it in the future but it needs a bit more care to get there.
Apr 15, 2023 · Theresa ENice park, level sites (all concrete pads except for their new expansion. Water, sewer and electric on site and also propane if you wanted to hook into it on the pad. It's cheaper to buy a week stay than it is to pay for 4 nights (at least during off season with a week costing $125).The only complaint is lots of dogs either off leash or on teather. Makes it difficult to walk our own dogs when aggressive ones come charging. It is posted to keep dogs on leash, but full timers don't seem to care about that.Nice park. Close to grocery store, gas, hardware store and Sonic.
Nov 20, 2024 · Conor TreacyStayed for a month last year. Wonderful manager, clean and very new
Mar 11, 2025 · Carol MitchellIt is a very nice park and the manager is very nice, but we was told the internet was good and we could barely get a signal, we pulled out on the 31st and went back on the 1st to pay our electric bill and the camp host was rude to us, because we waited till the next day to tell him we left, we paid for 1 month I’m not sure why I needed to tell him we was leaving because he thought we was still there. And also we always pick up after our dogs and the neighbors would let there dog out unleashed and it would use the bathroom on our space. Nice park but I won’t stay here again just because the host was so rude.
