The available customer reviews present a mixed picture of DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC. One reviewer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, describing it as a "FUN experience" that surpassed typical state parks. They found the campground to be "clean and quiet" and praised the "wonderful owner, camp host, and groundskeeper." This reviewer was particularly impressed by the range of activities available, including fishing, paddle boating, and hiking trails, as well as other unspecified things to do in the area, leading them to plan a return trip. They also highlighted the attentiveness of Heather, who was available by phone in the evening and even delivered firewood at 10 PM, showcasing exceptional service beyond regular camp store hours. The reviewer thoroughly enjoyed their stay, noting the great size of the sites, including their waterfront location, and enthusiastically recommended others to visit.
In contrast, another reviewer reported a negative experience with customer service, stating it was "very unprofessional." This reviewer would "not recommend this park" due to the park's alleged failure to respond to their inquiries on Facebook regarding the acceptability of their camper (described as not brand new but in good condition). This lack of communication was interpreted as poor customer service and bad business practices, raising concerns about how the park treats guests and their pets. The reviewer suggested that this unresponsiveness indicates potential unreliability and a lack of welcoming behavior, making it a place they wouldn't trust for their dog or stay at themselves, implying potential broader issues with management and guest care.
Situated on Standpipe Rd in Jackson, Ohio, DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC appears to be located in an area that offers both natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Jackson is a city in southeastern Ohio, known for its scenic landscapes and access to outdoor activities. The positive review mentions fishing, paddle boating, and hiking trails directly associated with the campground, suggesting that DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC is situated in a location that supports these activities, possibly near a body of water suitable for fishing and paddle boating, and with access to trails for hiking.
The availability of "water front" sites, as mentioned by the satisfied reviewer, indicates that a portion of the campground is located along a water body, offering scenic views and potentially direct access for activities like fishing or simply enjoying the water. The description of the campground as "clean and quiet" suggests a well-maintained and peaceful environment, contributing to a relaxing getaway experience.
Based on the positive customer review, DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC offers a range of features and services aimed at providing a fun and comfortable camping experience:
- Recreational Activities: The park boasts fishing, paddle boating, and hiking trails, providing ample opportunities for outdoor fun and engagement for guests of all ages.
- Waterfront Sites: A desirable feature for many RVers, offering scenic views and potentially direct access to water-based activities.
- Attentive Staff: The positive review specifically praises Heather for her attentiveness and helpfulness, including evening availability and going above and beyond with firewood delivery. This suggests a personal touch in customer service.
- Clean and Quiet Campground: These are essential aspects for a pleasant camping experience, indicating that the park is well-maintained and offers a peaceful atmosphere.
- Good Site Sizes: The reviewer noted that the sites were of a "great size," suggesting enough space for RVs and potentially some outdoor setup.
While not explicitly mentioned, DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC likely also provides standard RV park amenities such as:
- RV Hookups: Including electricity (likely 30 and/or 50 amp service), water, and potentially sewer connections at the sites. The "full hook up" mentioned implies all three are available.
- Waste Disposal: Facilities for the proper disposal of trash.
- Potable Water Access: For filling RV water tanks.
- Dump Station: For emptying RV waste tanks.
Depending on the park's facilities, other amenities might include restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and a camp store (though the review noted its potential limited hours). Information on pet policies is not available in the reviews.
The negative review regarding unprofessional customer service and a lack of response to inquiries on Facebook raises a significant concern for potential guests. Poor communication can be a major deterrent and can indeed indicate potential broader issues with management and guest care, as suggested by the reviewer. While one guest experienced exceptional attentiveness, the other experienced complete silence when trying to ascertain if their RV was acceptable, which is a fundamental aspect of booking an RV site.
Prospective guests might want to consider this feedback and perhaps try contacting the park via phone to gauge their responsiveness and customer service approach directly. It's possible that the Facebook inquiry was missed, but a lack of response to a potential customer is certainly a point to note.
The positive customer review serves as strong promotional content, highlighting the fun activities, scenic waterfront sites, attentive staff, and clean environment at a reasonable price. The mention of fishing, paddle boating, and hiking, along with the convenience of firewood delivery, are attractive selling points for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a well-serviced RV experience.

DEERLAND RV PARK, LLC Reviews
Such a FUN experience compared to a typical state park! The campground is clean and quiet. Deerland is ran by a wonderful owner, camp host, and groundskeeper. I am already planning my next trip down here! Between the fishing, paddle boating, hiking trails, and additional things to do in the area - you are bound to have a great time. Heather was very attentive and was even available by phone during the evening. She took the time to drop off a bundle of firewood at 10PM - most camp stores are closed well before then. Overall I am thoroughly impressed. Sites are a great size and ours were water front. Go down and take a peak for yourself, you won’t regret it.
Jun 20, 2023 · Laura SockmanVery unprofessional customer service. I would not recommend this park because, despite your clear and simple request to see if my camper (which is not brand new but in good condition) would be acceptable, the park ignored my messages on their Facebook page. This lack of communication shows poor customer service and bad business practices, which raises concerns about how they treat guests and their pets. If they cannot respond to a basic inquiry, it suggests they may not be reliable or welcoming, making it a place you wouldn't trust for your dog or stay at yourself. This kind of unresponsiveness can indicate bigger issues with management and guest care.
May 01, 2025 · Shon MilnerBeautiful and peaceful place to be. Mr. Bill is very accommodating and has gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The paddle boats are so much fun and look weathered but are reliable and sturdy.Weve had no issues with our sewer or back gassing into our camper. The water treatment plant near the property does smell every now and then but nothing outrageous. It's 5 minutes into town and conveniently near the 35 interstate. Lots of wildlife scurrying around and you can sometimes spy deer around the park in the early morning. Overall really pleased with this park 👍
Mar 29, 2021 · Katie HoffmannThis must have been a beautiful campground back in the day but sadly the owner, Bill, has allowed it to seriously decline. Aside from the rapidly declining campground I experienced other issues that made this a never return to campground and one of the first times I couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough.Cons:The sewer lines had a positive pressure that back gassed into the trailer though the holding tanks. This caused awful ongoing headaches and nausea to the point of vomiting sick. We had to dump the gray tanks on the ground, bleach out several times and disconnect from the dump line and let the gray tanks flow on the ground to keep the smell out. That fixed the problem until the sewage treatment facility eye sore right outside our trailer would float it's waste odor up to the trailer to seep in through the corners of the slides, not to mention the motor running all night long. The power would constantly cut off several times during the day. Turns out it was a faulty panel that would trip the EMS. One of the legs would keep dropping voltage and cut the power. The panels were exposed on the exterior that caused moisture problems causing some kind of arc short.Individuals would sit outside their trailers drinking and partying to late hours of the night being loud and obnoxious. Bill could always be found in the middle of the partying.Trailers are pretty much stacked on top of each other with the view of your neighbor trailer. Many of the lots also had steep sloping off the side.A lot of rutting and erosion throughout the gravel driveway all around the campground. There is no leash requirement for dogs. Many large dogs, although most friendly, running around free. Everyone who had small dogs did have them leashed. However, the owner, Bill's dog though friendly to people would become vicious and attack any dog that would bark at it. One lady with a Yorkie who barked was attacked by Bill's dog and had to take her to the vet. She reported to Bill who brushed it off and didn't do anything to make it right, not even keep his dog in check. This made taking our Yorkie out a miserable experience as we had to watch for his dog every time we went out. If the dog saw you it would come up to you regardless. Holding our dog it would show teeth and growl, not an experience that I would want anyone to have to go through. There are paddle boats but they are rusted out and in poor condition. The decking around the club house is rotting away. The playground only has rusted, falling apart, play equipment.Cost was 500 a month plus electricity. Expensive considering the issues this park has.Pros:Good Verizon signal. Did not need our trailer booster.Water not too hard or soft but a bit much chlorine in it. Water you could taste a slight chlorine taste.Though many eye sores through out the grounds, it is a beautiful piece of property with 2 lakes. There is a clubhouse with a working TV and 2 pool tables but the pool sticks do not have tips making impossible to play. It also has pay washer and drier if needed.
Oct 17, 2020 · Bella DaMuppetReally nice camp ground not too far off State route 35 easy to get too. The new owner was really nice guy. Lot of the spots are the pull through easy to get though. The family and I had a blast on the paddle boats will definitely be staying at this place more often
