Goose Creek RV Park Introduce
For local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category, Goose Creek RV Park, located at 100 Goose Creek St, Dayton, TX 77535, USA, presents a somewhat complex picture based on the available customer reviews. These reviews offer contrasting perspectives, highlighting both the park's suitability for certain types of stays and raising significant concerns about safety and management response that potential guests should carefully consider.
One reviewer who stayed at Goose Creek RV Park for two months, from August through September 2022, initially noted that "Everything was good" and that the "parking was nicely spaced out." This suggests that the physical layout of the park, including the spacing between RV sites, was satisfactory for at least some guests. However, this positive initial impression was overshadowed by serious safety and management concerns.
The same reviewer reported observing "drug dealers delivering to a woman every night" and that this woman would frequently walk around "begging for money or a ride." They further stated that this individual "scared an elderly resident." Additionally, the reviewer recounted a disturbing incident where a "drunk" person came to their campsite and "threaten to stab my husband." The most concerning aspect of this incident, according to the reviewer, was that "The park manager let him stay so we moved." This lack of action from the management in response to a serious threat prompted the reviewer to leave the park, raising significant questions about the safety and security measures in place, as well as the management's priorities regarding guest well-being.
In contrast, another reviewer expressed being "perfectly happy with this park." They explicitly stated that it is "not a camp ground for a family vacation with a lake or river right there in your backyard," indicating that its appeal lies elsewhere. This reviewer found it "perfect for those of us who are working away from home and need a place to park our campers." This suggests that Goose Creek RV Park may primarily cater to individuals seeking longer-term stays for work-related purposes rather than recreational travelers looking for resort-style amenities.
This second reviewer described the park as "Clean, easy to find, well taken care of," offering a more positive assessment of the park's physical condition and upkeep. They also found the "Price is very fair for what you get" and appreciated its "Conveniently located close to everything a person could need." This suggests that the park's location in Dayton provides easy access to essential services and amenities, which can be a significant advantage for long-term residents or those working in the area.
Furthermore, this reviewer noted that "Everyone seems to keep to themselves and it is a very quit park," highlighting a sense of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. They concluded by stating "No complaints.... a fire pit would be nice though:)," indicating overall satisfaction with the park, with only a minor suggestion for improvement.
Considering these two very different experiences, it is crucial for potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" to weigh these perspectives carefully. Goose Creek RV Park appears to offer some benefits, such as cleanliness, convenient location, and a quiet atmosphere that may appeal to working individuals needing a longer-term stay. However, the serious safety concerns raised by the first reviewer, particularly the alleged drug activity, the threatening behavior of another resident, and the management's response to these issues, cannot be ignored.
The discrepancy in these reviews suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the park's environment or management practices. It is possible that different areas of the park or different time periods might present varying experiences. The lack of on-site management, as claimed by one reviewer, could contribute to a less controlled environment and potentially impact the safety and security of residents.
The second reviewer's comment about the park not being a "camp ground for a family vacation with a lake or river" suggests that the environment may be more utilitarian and less focused on recreational amenities typically found in vacation-oriented RV parks. The emphasis on it being suitable for those "working away from home" further supports this characterization.
The available reviews provide limited information about specific services and features of Goose Creek RV Park. We know that parking is "nicely spaced out" and that it is "easy to find." The second reviewer implies that it is "well taken care of" and conveniently located near essential services. However, details regarding the number and types of RV sites, hookups available (water, electricity, sewer), laundry facilities, restroom and shower facilities, Wi-Fi access, pet policies, or any recreational amenities (beyond the mentioned lack of a lake or river) are not provided.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. Local users interested in potentially staying at Goose Creek RV Park would need to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers ((936) 257-8779 or +1 936-257-8779) to inquire about current rates, availability, lease terms (if applicable), and any specific rules or regulations. Given the serious safety concerns raised, it would be particularly important to inquire about the park's security measures, the presence and availability of on-site management, and how the park addresses issues related to resident behavior and illegal activities.
In conclusion, for local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Dayton, Texas, Goose Creek RV Park presents a mixed profile. While it may offer a clean, convenient, and quiet option suitable for working individuals seeking longer-term stays, significant concerns have been raised regarding safety, alleged drug activity, threatening behavior by a resident, and the management's response to these issues. Potential residents should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives and conduct thorough due diligence, including directly contacting the park management to address the concerns raised in the negative review and to gather more information about the park's safety protocols and overall environment before making a decision.

Stayed here from Aug Thru Sept 2022. Everything was good, parking was nicely spaced out. Apr 03, 2020 · Maximus Decimus MeridiusHe charge daily, weekly or monthly plus electricity, so he asked for a deposit.( As expected) But when we stayed there we stayed for like 6 months and last month we paid for the whole month but only stayed for 12 days, (since we didn't feel comfortable there we looked for something better) so we thought that since we paid more than we stayed, he wouldn't take it from our deposit but I was wrong, i wasn't expecting a refund but atleast my whole deposit back, we've being in different states, in different Rv parks and this one was the worse, there's only 2 washers and 2 dryers, you need to get your own change. If you have no kids, no extra stuff outside, if you dont do cook outs, then this is the place for you!
