When considering "RV parks near me," individuals typically look for a comfortable and safe environment with the necessary services and features to accommodate their recreational vehicles and needs. The available customer reviews for Happy Trails RV Park present a mixed picture, with contrasting experiences reported by different guests. One reviewer, who mentions staying at the park annually while visiting family, describes it as "down home country at its finest" and appreciates the "really good hearted" owners who are willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. This reviewer also notes the proximity to the local town for fuel and other necessities, the peaceful sleeping environment, and the enjoyable biscuits and gravy at the on-site restaurant.
In contrast, another reviewer had a significantly negative experience during a few months' stay due to work. This guest reported issues with noise from a nearby train disrupting sleep, consistently muddy conditions, and the theft of propane from their camper. They also mentioned the presence of several "broke down campers" on the lot. This reviewer stated they would never return to or recommend the park. Furthermore, they described a negative interaction with the owner regarding their departure, alleging an "illegal eviction," being called names, yelled at, and noticing a rent increase and overcharge upon leaving.
Given these divergent experiences, it is important for prospective visitors to approach Happy Trails RV Park with caution and seek additional information to form their own informed opinion. Contacting the park directly will allow for specific inquiries about the noise levels from any nearby trains, the condition of the grounds during different weather conditions, security measures in place to prevent theft, the general upkeep of the park and its sites, and the policies regarding long-term stays and departures.
In terms of the environment, one review suggests a "down home country" atmosphere, which may appeal to those seeking a more relaxed and less resort-like setting. However, the other review's mention of consistently muddy conditions indicates a potential drawback, particularly during or after periods of rain. It would be beneficial to inquire about the park's drainage and ground maintenance to understand the typical conditions of the RV sites and surrounding areas.
Regarding services and features, the positive review mentions a restaurant with good biscuits and gravy, which could be a convenient amenity for guests. The proximity to the local town for fuel and other necessities is also noted as a benefit. Typical RV parks usually offer essential utility hookups at each site, including electricity (it's advisable to ask about the amperage, e.g., 30 amp or 50 amp), water, and sewer connections. Inquiring about the availability and reliability of these services at Happy Trails RV Park is recommended. Additionally, it is common for RV parks to provide amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers. Some may also offer Wi-Fi access or recreational areas. Information about these features should be obtained directly from the park management.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the available reviews. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arp, TX area, the potential appeal of Happy Trails RV Park might lie in its location and the welcoming nature described by one reviewer. To learn about any special rates for daily, weekly, or monthly stays, or any other promotions that might be offered, direct contact with the park is necessary.
For those considering a stay at Happy Trails RV Park, it would be prudent to ask specific questions based on the concerns raised in the negative review. Inquiring about the park's policies regarding long-term guests, the process for addressing disputes or complaints, and the typical experience of other long-term residents might provide a more comprehensive understanding of the park's management and overall atmosphere. Additionally, asking about security measures and the park's response to issues like theft could be important for peace of mind.
In conclusion, Happy Trails RV Park in Arp, TX, presents itself as a local option for those seeking "RV parks near me." However, the significant disparity between the two available customer reviews suggests that experiences at this park can vary considerably. Prospective visitors should carefully weigh the positive feedback regarding the friendly owners and convenient location against the negative feedback concerning noise, ground conditions, security, and management practices. Direct communication with the park management is strongly recommended to obtain current and detailed information and to assess whether Happy Trails RV Park meets individual needs and expectations for an RV stay in the Arp area.

Happy Trails RV Park Reviews
When I visit family in the area I stay here every year. It's not your 5 star resort if that's what you're looking for. It's down home country at its finest. Owners are really good hearted and will do just about anything to make your stay feel welcomed. Local town has fuel and other amenities needed to get by. Peaceful sleep and no hassle. Looking forward to next year during the holidays... oh and good bisquits and gravy at the restaurant.
Nov 30, 2019 · Darrell StewartNot as advertised. Stayed there for s few months because of work. Couldn’t sleep because of train, always muddy, propane kept getting stolen off camper. Several broke down campers on lot. Not a place I would ever go back to nor would I recommend. As o was paying my monthly rent I told them this was my final month and we where moving to campgroup down road. I travel a lot so I admit I was a little late but I notified them via text and phone, he is seldom lay there, keep missing each other. So I was paying what was owed and told them I was moving to another campground on the 26th and owner kicked me out then. An illegal eviction. He called me a ding idiot and started to yell at me. When I left I noticed the raised the rent and overcharged me.
Jan 08, 2019 · Marcus RutledgeIf you are looking for tennis and a 24 hr store, this is not your place. If you are looking for 50 amp, water, and sewer, a great little cafe, and friendly folks at a reasonable rate . I highly recommend Happy trails.
