Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community Introduce
For local users in the Zephyrhills, Florida area searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a peaceful environment and a welcoming community, Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community, located at 39515 Bamboo Ln, Zephyrhills, FL 33542, USA, presents an interesting option. While primarily a manufactured home community for those 55 and over, reviews indicate that they also accommodate RV travelers and offer a range of amenities. You can reach them for inquiries or reservations at (813) 791-7837 or their mobile number +1 813-791-7837.
One review from European tourists traveling in their RV highlights the positive initial experience upon arrival. They were greeted by "two nice Ladies at the office" who handled the paperwork "immediately and fast." This suggests an efficient and friendly check-in process. Furthermore, they found their RV spot to be "super clean and ready to use," indicating a commitment to maintaining the sites for incoming guests.
This same reviewer also enthusiastically recounted being invited to an "all year Christmas party" within the community, which they described as "really a lot of fun with games and nice talks to the residents." This speaks volumes about the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community, where even temporary visitors are invited to participate in social events and interact with long-term residents.
The amenities at Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community were also praised, with the reviewer stating that "all amenities that were declared online are in good, clean and well maintained condition." This is a crucial aspect for any RV park or community, ensuring that guests have access to functional and pleasant facilities. The opportunity to have a "swimming in the pool" was specifically mentioned as "nice and refreshing," indicating that the pool is a well-maintained and enjoyable amenity.
The laundry facilities also received positive feedback, being described as "nice and clean." The added convenience of being able to pay for and operate the machines via a smartphone app was highlighted as a user-friendly feature. This modern approach to laundry services adds to the overall convenience for guests staying at the park.
The environment of Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community is characterized as "really quiet and not too close to the railway," allowing guests to "relax and take a deep breath for some weeks." This peaceful setting can be a significant draw for those seeking respite from the noise of travel or city life. The accessibility to local conveniences was also noted, with "Winn Dixie, Walmart, Lowe's and Co." being nearby and reachable by bicycle, making grocery shopping and other errands easy.
The positive experience of these RV travelers concluded with a friendly farewell and an invitation for a return visit, further emphasizing the welcoming nature of the community. They "highly recommend the Hillside Mobile Home Park for everyone who is in search for a quiet rest and friendly surroundings." This strong endorsement from RV tourists suggests that Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community is indeed a welcoming place for temporary stays.
However, another reviewer who stayed at the "RV park" for two months provided a more mixed assessment. They acknowledged that "the washrooms are kept clean daily" and that "the clubhouse has a pool table, tv and kitchen area and looks brand new." These positive points align with the previous review regarding cleanliness and well-maintained amenities.
Despite looking forward to the pool as advertised, this reviewer reported that "upon arrival, we were told the heater was broken so we never got a chance." This suggests a potential issue with the pool's functionality during their stay, which could be disappointing for guests expecting to use this amenity, especially during cooler months.
The second reviewer also had a less favorable experience with the laundromat, noting that it "needs a good cleaning as the floor is quite dirty" and that the "machines require a good cleaning before loading clothes." This contrasts with the positive feedback from the first reviewer and indicates a potential inconsistency in the cleanliness of this facility.
A significant concern raised by the second reviewer pertains to the suitability of the park for RVs, stating that "the campground area is not designed well for campers/RV's" and that it is "almost impossible to access a spot unless you back down the narrow lane." This is a crucial piece of information for local users specifically searching for "RV parks near me." If the layout is challenging for RVs, particularly larger ones or those with less experienced drivers, it could be a significant drawback.
On a positive note, the second reviewer mentioned that "their rates are the cheapest I've encountered," suggesting that Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community might offer a budget-friendly option for RVers in the area. This could be a significant factor for those prioritizing affordability.
In summary, Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community appears to be a welcoming and quiet community that accommodates RVs and offers clean amenities, friendly staff, and a strong sense of community, as evidenced by the invitation to social events. It also boasts a convenient location near local shopping. However, potential RV visitors should be aware of potential issues with the pool heater functionality and the cleanliness of the laundromat, as well as the reported challenges with accessing RV spots due to the park's design. The affordability of the rates is a notable advantage.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Zephyrhills area, Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community presents a mixed bag. The positive aspects of community, cleanliness (in some areas), and affordability are appealing. However, the potential difficulties with RV site access and the reported issues with the pool and laundromat cleanliness should be considered. It is advisable to contact Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community directly at (813) 791-7837 or +1 813-791-7837 to inquire about the current status of the pool, the layout of the RV sites, and any other concerns before making a decision.
In conclusion, Hillside 55+ Manufactured Home Community offers a unique blend of a 55+ manufactured home community that also welcomes RVs. It is praised for its friendly atmosphere, clean (mostly) amenities, and affordable rates. However, potential RV guests should be aware of reported challenges with site access and potential inconsistencies in the maintenance of certain facilities like the pool and laundromat.

Mar 14, 2025 · Joan BellSuper clean bathroom/showers.Very nice management.Site layout weird as you're downhill (slope) from septic plug in. 🙄 Perhaps sites were mislabeled after hurricane restoration. 🤷🏼ANTS, ANTS, ANTS!!! Spray accordingly as soon as you dock, or risk complete infestation, as we did. 😫
Dec 27, 2024 · Samantha HallThe RV park is a poorly designed afterthought and management is derelict in their duties. The spaces are tiny, angled the wrong direction and difficult to get into. There is a parking problem too. Sites 14 & 15 waste dumps are on the wrong side of the RV requiring 25 feet of hose running under your RV and through your campsite but no one tells you this when you book or arrive. I arrived on 1/1 and the office was closed. It took me 20 minutes to find the tiny RV park in the very back of the large mobile home park. There were no signs and didn’t answer my calls. When I finally found it I had to ask the neighbors which site was #15 because the electric hookups are on the wrong side of the camper.13 days later when I’m sick in bed resting I’m awakened by an outside commotion. First I’m informed I’m in the wrong campsite and need to move. It’s takes me around two hours to prepare to change sites and hook up my camper. I question why we can’t just switch campsites and then the office manager comes out and informs me she can’t switch anything because they are full although there were five sites out of 20 empty and I was asking to switch sites with another renter that just arrived. When I told the manager that I asked the neighbors which site was 15 she responded that I should have asked her but I tried to call the office twice and no one answered because they were closed. As the conversation progressed I learn that I am in the correct site but I’m connected to the wrong waste dump. This made absolutely no sense to anyone because the dump I was hooked to was five feet away from my valve and exactly where one would normally be but I had to disconnect my waste hose because that is the neighbors dump. We both literally are required to run a 25 ft hose under our campers and through our tiny front yards. I just spent $50 to purchase a second hose because my gray tank is full and two connected hoses still aren’t long enough to reach the dump plus I have a sewer line running through my campsite I’ll be tripping over constantly and my dog will be wrapping her lead around. I can’t shower or wash dishes because I can’t dump my tank. I don’t want to spend another $50 on a third hose or have to store two extra hoses I don’t need when I leave here in two weeks.A couple more issues. When I booked no one asked my dogs weight or mentioned a weight restriction but the day after I arrived I was handed a contract stating they have a 40 Lb weight restriction on pets. They also request your SS# on the contract. That was a first for a RV park short term stay. Verizon and TMobile have terrible service here and there isn’t any wifi.I haven’t received an apology, assistance or any offer of a solution although a neighbor told me the manager admitted none of it was my fault. Horrible customer service!
Jan 18, 2023 · Kiersten QuickPositively awesome, great pool, cheap lot rent, cleannpark, cool sign, nice decor. Would stay here but my probation officer says we have to stay at his mom's house. The houses here are built well and sturdy for the long duration of the winter ahead. Many hurricane seasons and desert storms have passed this way. These homes have held their strength in the test of time from the foundation of america's greatness
